@@Michael_Page There isn't a player available that comes close to Randle at his position. Knicks don't need another guard/forward type as evidenced in the playoffs. Randle and OG are amazing together.
@@TheAbsolutShame OG and whoever was amazing this year. It wasn't Randle. 14-3 with OG and no Randle. All I saw in the playoffs was a team that would have made the ECF if healthy if their guard/forward guys (OG/Hart) didn't get hurt.
We'll see what happens. Randle ain't worth 45 million. If Detroit wants him to not have Cade go through another year of being the worst team in the league, he's gone.
He's definitely not getting 4/180 to play for the Knicks and he probably THINKS he's worth it because it's the same kind of "pay cut" Brunson is taking. Difference is, Brunson could actually get 50+ million on the open market, Randle can't.
@@Michael_Page I don't think Randle would mind taking less on an extension. OG cannot replace Randle full-time at the PF spot. Imagine playing the Nets and watching Randle destroy OG and Precious.
@@TheAbsolutShame Randle doesn't generally destroy anybody. He has good games sometimes. He's generally an inefficient turnover box. I'd guess he'd be more inefficient and more of a turnover machine being guarded by elite defenders. See the playoffs.
Brunson, OG, Bridges, Randle and Robinson or Hartenstein. With DiVincenzo, Hart and McBride off the bench. That's a bad ass team

Somehow keeping Randle is key to maximizing a Bridges trade. Otherwise, it’s just a lateral move, at best. OG unlocks Randle in a way that nobody else has so far.

The Knicks were the NBA’s best team in January 2023 according to league stats, and they developed one of the best chemistry squads in the NBA; that roster had Randle, Brunson, OG, Robinson, Hart, Donte, Hartenstein, etc. why would you break that up? Don't be greedy.

Bruce Brown would be a great acquisition to this team. He is tough as nails. Denver Nuggets missed Bruce Brown this season.
How many 6-4 ball players are you going to have on the team you need somebody with some length period Brown does the same thing that hard does he would never take either one of them out the game and the rest of the talent on the on the bench would be wasted

D - Decline. I wouldn’t part with Randle. I would hold the line and not overpay. Bridges could also help buy putting pressure on the Nets to force a trade, which may make the price a little bit easier.

ID like to keep Randle and add bridges I don’t like one for the other
Randle dribbles too much and takes difficult fadeaways and 24 footers. In the playoffs the Knicks need a more efficient PF who can give them points in the paint sometimes. All of that Iso stuff doesn't translate to championship ball. That's Brunson's role. Randle plays like another left handed ball dominant bigger version of Brunson. I'd do the trade in a heartbeat.

The NY Knicks should trade 3 draft picks ( 25 & 38 picks this year, plus one future 1st round pick), Burk, Simm, & Bogdanovic to get 'Mikal Bridges" from the Brooklyn Nets.

Marsh I agree with many of the Real Ones in that Randle is a better player than Bridges, however, I think that Bridges is a better fit for the Knicks.
I say run it back with what we have but try and get a lil more length. A big that can knock down threes would be great, and something tells me that IHart( if we can keep him) will add an outside shot to his game.

Mikal would be great but any trade involving him, will mean HOU will likely get a queue jump given they own all of the Nets picks.
The only trade without blowing the team chemistry (No randle = lack even more size) would be somehow flipping Bogie and another asset (Likely Deuce) plus picks. I doubt Nets would even want that but I would be happy to offer all 3x NYK knicks + A few of those protected ones.
And with JB willing to extend at a cheaper rate that puts pressure on all the current guys and any future guys like Bridges to sign for less JB setting the tone in the salary area.
That trade from BR makes zero sense. Randle is like a 25 and 10 guy. They're giving him up AND picks for Bridges? The Knicks should be getting Bridges + Picks or some bench guys for Randle.
Bogdonovic and Duece McBride also adds to salary wise for Bridges

Keep Randle but, Bridges is perfect fit. Bridges has chemistry we need and he is defiantly a Thibbs guy. We have plenty of resources , lets use those to acquire Bridges.

The Knicks just need a full season with everyone healthy and then if that doesnt work, then make trades. If they do get Bridges it will be with the ok of Brunson.
Bojan also be close to matching. Why not keep Ramdle and go multiple 1st and other parts? Hart and Donte off the bench add needed depth. Bridges at the 2.

I like Randle and would want them both together, but it's an accept for me. Randle has to be in it because for trades, you have to come within 85% of the salary. I don't think Bojan, Jericho and Burks and all 8 picks would not equal 85% of Bridges contract. That's why you would consider the deal. But for Randle and only 2 first round picks and multiple 2nds and we still have future first rounders moving forward? What?! 🤯

Bogdanovic, sign & trade with Burks to match money and 7 FRPs for Bridges. Nets get an expiring contract and a bunch of picks to tank and Knicks go all in for a 3-5 year championship window. I think that’s what Simmons meant when he said overpaying, but I would do that trade.
Lineup would be Brunson, Bridges, OG, Randle, Mitch with Deuce, Divo, Hart, Hartenstein (if we’re able to keep him) off the bench. Sign a backup PF for depth and Archidiacano for the hell of it if theres cap space.

The problem with Randle is. He is a ball stopper. He also doesn't attack the rim that often. He has one yr left on his contract. So, he is a 1 yr rental. I'd trade Randle and 3 ones and 2 two's for Bridges. Then i would go after markennen from jazz. I'd give up Duce, Og 2 one's and a Robinson or Hartenstein.
With a line-up of Brunson, Donte, Bridges, Markennen and Robinson or Hartenstein. We would easily win the 🏆.

The decision on Julius Randle will be franchise defining. Randle is a free agent next Summer and will be asking MaxCat roughly $191/4 yrs. Randle will be 30 yrs old and have 4 seasons where he’s played 37-35 min/game.
Whatever the Knicks decide, the Knicks are gonna need size, athleticism, and getting younger.

I tell you 1 thing about bridges his game disappeared after he played against all of his college buddies. I promise when he was in Phoenix he was very good that's why he been talked about the way he has. He can defend he can shoot and flat out score I bet he come play everything goes back to normal and some.

I think we can trade BB and picks to get Bridges. If we have to lose Randle, I'd be ok with it. We don't need ball stoppers.
I would try and keep Randle and start PG BRUNSON, SG DIVENCEZO, SF BRIDGES, PF ANUNOBY, C RANDLE. An alternative I'll try and get DEANDRE HUNTER from Atlanta
