- In this video I finish the boom tube made from scrap conduit and install it on the f250. I take it to my top secret track and put it to the test. Horse power was ACTUALLY unlocked

I think that, somewhere up there in the cosmos, Dale shed a tear 🫡
The Intimidation factor upon reading this, has sent some fvcker into the wall!
One suggestion for you I made this mistake years ago never never never never never weld your exhaust with a solid mount it will always break loose as the engine Torx always use a rubber hanger
Thank you for the tip I'm welding up a system soon
As long as you use a flex pipe between the engine and the exhaust, the exhaust can be welded solid to the frame. Semis do it all the time.
Big Red did this on their Camaro DECADES ago. I'm kind of surprised, TBH. Very few people realize that if you want NASCAR sound, you need a NASCAR exhaust. LOL.
This is what I imagine those old school, homemade NASCARs must have sounded like.
Look up the boom tube that The Craig 909 built on his f100. Might be able to fine tune yours based off his. Just got rid of my '79 F250 w/ a 460. Love the old fords!
Craig909's truck is a built high comp high rpm 302 engine, so to get it to that level will be a little more then just an exhaust but this setup still sounds really really good.
He doesn’t have a boom tube just an x pipe
Wow,I wouldn't even need a radio with that music.. beautiful
It is quite peaceful when cruising at about 2800-3000 rpm.
man you really cant beat the throatiness and the roar of old fords when you really open them up. Boom tubes is a STELLAR choice in my opinion and looks great on it. Only other thing cooler to me than boom tubes might be some big flapper-cap stacks that start from a honkin resonator below the cab and come up along the seam between the bed and cab. Used to have a 76 F150 with the same setup and that baby looked MEAN when i had to take the bed off.
That whole things sick!!! I 302 swapped my ranger and just left the exhaust open after the muffler but now I know what I GOTTA do, thanks for the idea bro!!
Alright, I’m sold. Gotta make a set for my Truck.
*BOOM TUBE!*
That’s the spirit!
Plenty of exhaust manufacturers produce and sell them. And they're pretty cheap
This is one of the most American 🇺🇸 videos I’ve ever seen. The only thing missing is a hot country girl, gun, and beer. You got the American Flag, Bass Pro Shop hat, F150, and NASCAR exhaust! Hell yeah brother!
Sounds good! I daily an '86 f150 and got a 75/79 f150 that's my "hot rod". Can't get enough of these old fords!
Nice! Can’t go wrong with an old ford
This video just happened to pop up in my recommended. About 2 minutes into it, I had to subscribe. Awesome job, buddy!! Those look great and sound even better!! Looking forward to checking out your other vids!
music to my ears brother
sounds absolutely sick!!
The drive-by sound is so bad ass.
in a few years ill remember i subbed at 346 subscribers, and smile.
same!
I just subbed today and he is at +600 now. +300 subs in 6 days is great 😮🤩
That’s a thing of beauty man! Currently working on an improved exhaust setup for my ‘70 Ford Maverick.
That's great man. I'm in an 07 hemi ram with a single straight with both cats. Southwest PA is a bummer with emissions. I lived a little further north my whole life and the emissions weren't an issue. I had straight duals on everything. I'm gonna work on some boom tubes. 👊 Subbed.
Video starts good, i can't wait for listen this baby
Hell yeah!!!! Built not bought.
Sounds insane dude, nice job!
totally appreciate the humor dude! Got a new sub here!
This video has no waste, cool!
It sounds like an old speedboat at Lake Havasu.
I love it.
How come this guy doesn't have more subscribers?
I love this! So stoked that I found this channel so early on. You’ve earned a subscriber my friend. I’m from Australia and I’m looking to get my hands on a late bumpside early dentside F100. Keen to see where the F truck goes!
Thank you! I appreciate it.
"i almost set my wooden welding table ablaze" totally legit
Sounds sick man! Love the look of it too.
for some reason i thought boom tubes were like symmetrical side pipes for maximum music dispersion
I drive a 2014 BMW 550i with a 4.4L V8. Although I prefer my V8's American, my Bimmer has definitely surprised me with its performance and sound. I have the M Sport package with basically comes with some suspension and drivetrain setup similar to the M5 of its time. For exhaust I went old school and removed just about everything but the cats and went "True dual" from the manifold. Sounds real nice!
Nice, I used to have a 2001 325i wagon. Great cars
Damn this sounds wicked. I daily a 1981 olds 98 regency with an olds 307 boat anchor haha but I may have to change out my exhaust setup to this, dumped in front of the rear tires.
Working on a 71 Monte but it’s a restomod 383 stroker and I found your channel looking for nascar style boom tube ideas. Awesome build and nice work taking the curveballs and ROLLING
Awesome! Thank you
I have a 88 firebird with a 350 4 barrel carburetter
Hooker dump exhausted long tube headers
Drag slicks
Adding
Blower
And going for a stroker kit
Also drive a 03 ram with the btr stage 2 cams
Straight pipe dump behind passenger rear door
Nice truck. Had a 1971!
Dude, it sounds so rad.
It’s my favorite exhaust I’ve built so far.
Your neighbors are gonna loooooove you.😂
I have good neighbors
Congrats on 400 subs
I was number 400
Nice! Thank you
this got me thinking what BT v2 would sound like on my '90 cherokee i4L with a 5 speed manual.
absolutely subscribing your editing and personality is great lmao. definitely considering doing this to my crown vic because every cheapo exhaust just sounds like a truck
Thank you! I appreciate that. I had a crown Vic years ago. I put black steel Cragars on it and wrapped them in Toyo proxy TQ drag radials. Side dump exhaust because “race car”.
@@EvanNolen1989 sweet!! im hoping a boom tube size exit style exhaust will get rid of that straight piped pickup truck sound. i actually JUST picked up some brand new laguna seca boss 302 wheels from ford performance 🤝
Subbed! That was sick dude. Love it
Appreciate it!
I like the look and sound of it. very cool.
669
Busting knuckles for 50+ yrs, nice video!
A Voodoo swap for this would be insane with that exhaust setup.
Cool truck… great video, fun and entertaining. Truck also sounds awesome. My hot rod is a 70 duster. Short bed would be awesome on your truck and you mentioned rowing gears….possibly a 4 speed conversion in the future….3 pedals are better then two!
Thank you, I appreciate that. Dusters are awesome
Looks killer, I have a side pipe on my grand marquis. Only thing I’d recommend is using a rubber hanger. A solid mount will often break or crank the pipe
love the editing, and the fabrication!
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
I like it. It even looks better with the bracing inside. I'm a Ford guy so here is my rundown.... 1964 Fairlane 500 289 4-speed...1978 Mustang ll 302 4-speed....1992 F150 302-auto....1996 F250 PSD auto....1997 Explorer 302-auto...and the wife has a 2019 Edge 2.0 auto. Great video...
Thanks man! Wow, impressive herd
It's awesome that you have a '78 Mustang with a v8 and a 4 speed.
It must be the car in your profile picture.
@@-fuk57 it is ... I bought it in 1983
That boom tube must work simular to a pipe on a two stroke. Right around 3800 -4000, your on the pipe. Sounds awsome!!
now I got to build one.
It’s definitely doing something that’s not just a lack of back pressure. The last exhaust I had on the truck was very low back pressure. This one hits around 5500, which is where my single plane intake would hit as well
Sounds cool. I have a 79 f100 with a 302 love the sound of those ford engines
Thanks man! Fords do sound good
Somebody's been to the school of Robbie Layton's Slap Tutorial University.......
You got me wanting to redo the exhaust on my 00 Sierra RCSB. Got short tube headers with dual flowmaster super 10s with rear bumper exits. Doesn’t actually sound that great. Been wanting a side exit for a while now and I might just go for it
Do it!
Sounds awesome.
wow that's a win for sure would look really good on my 66 Chevelle Malibu but I already completed that part of the project hummmm maybe wife's 38 Chevy truck 🤔
i have an 86 volvo 740 gle with a non turbo (for now) b230f, i put in a pre cat cutout so i can go quiet in neiborhoods, and im finishing up a coilover swap! ive done sway bars, braces, a cam, an intake, and a few other minor things so far
Sick!
Very cool I've never heard of a boom tube now I'm going to have to make one I use EMT for a lot of my exhaust as well it's a lot cheaper
It’s nice to see a long bed. I need to put videos up of mine
Cool truck 👍
This is bad ass man. I really need to learn to weld exhaust pipe.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. Exhaust is the best thing to learn how to weld. Go buy a cheap welder and let her rip!
Hey dude. What shifter do you have? I’m trying to find one for my truck but don’t know what to get.
B&M mega shifter. I’ve had it for about 10 years and it’s pretty worn out. I daily drove this truck as a contractor so it got a ton of use.
WOW. Working on almost the same exact truck. Mine is a 1970 f100 explorer. my truck has factory power drum brakes, air conditioner, power steering, and the storage box too. Does your tail have a Alabama dealership? Very nice truck.
Thanks man! My truck is from California.
Dammmnn It looks and sounds cool 🤩
Good video. I built a AAR cuda style exhaust for my 81 Monte sounded awesome built out of scrap pipe aswell lol. I was broke and board.
Interesting. Gotta use what you got
Love the old Ford trucks have a 71 myself
Nice work!
Thank you
Hey just found your channel and liked and subscribed.
Nice job on the boom tube.
I love old Ford trucks my first truck was and still is a 1970 Ford F100 Short bed with a 390 big block and c6 transmission.
Last time she was going down the road was Dec. 31, 1998 but I do want to get her back on the road.
My other truck is a 1996 Dodge one ton dolly 4 ×4 with a 5.9 Cummins and a 5 speed reg cab and it is sitting on the side of the driveway been there for a while now but that truck has over 700,000 miles on it.
Amazing that you have your first truck! You have to get that thing back on the road.
Awesome Bro!!!!
I have a 1967 Chevy impala LS swapped with a big cam, built and tuned, it sounds pretty good, curious now what it would sound like with a boom tube.
Nice, 67 was a good year.
Wish I could get under my mini cooper like this
Sounds good I drive a 66 mustang. I want to build a mad max zoomie exhaust for it.
Nice! Painting it flat black will render another 74.3 horsepower.
I think I'm gonna do this to my 04 v8 jeep grand cherokee
sounds great
Lol I'm a van guy but I want to create true dual side exits for it.
got a 95 2 door tahoe with the 350, love it
Those are cool
Lol you go hey I smell something burning just as I was firing up a joint😛
Driving 1984 Ford F-150 with 351 Windsor. Ford number one Best trucks ever built.
Solid
My grandfathers old Mk2 Golf is in a state of disrepair, I also have another Mk2 Golf me and the boys bought for local autocross event (I say its mine because I the boys decided I should hold the title for giving the largest sum), and I intend on buying a Mercedes, either a C123 or 190E.
Awesome fuckin pipes youve made btw! Id love to see if I can fit something like that in the future when I do buy that Mercedes I wanna buy.
I love Mercedes, I grew up in a few and learned how to drive in a 1987 300E. Golf’s are cool too. My brother has one with a turbo upgrade and a tune and it rips hard
If you do hop up your motor. Look into a outlaw sprint car set up. Na they make about 900 hp.
Do you have headers already if not you should get some it sounds nice but it would be amazing if it was deeper
Yes, the truck has headers
That's wicked
Awesome 👌
What engine is in this truck? I have a 68 F100 302 from a 2000 explorer and a 5 speed from an 04 F150 with shorty headers, x pipe and black widow race venoms
It has a 390 and a C6. I’m working on a 351W to swap into it
I have a 90 f150 5L single cab long bed. I want to take off the fuel injection and put a carburetor on it but somethings fuckey with the fuel pump. My dad has an 89 grand marquis with the same engine. Both beautiful cars.
Nice! You should watch my video about my 1996 suburban, “crank no start”. I thought about ripping the fuel injection off of it many times but I fixed the issue. Cheers!
Always, ALWAYS, check the angle... of the dangle, kids.
The angle of the dangle is always directly proportionate to the heat of the meat 🥓 and how can You have any pudding if You don't eat Your meat?
I got me a 78 F250 ranger lariat with the 460. Ima need some boomtubes for it now 🤣
i was here at 387 i see great potential
I appreciate that
I’d say it was meant to be 🔥 Don’t forget to make sure the AFR is correct, changing exhaust styles can majorly change that, if you have a carb. Bad AFR = Engine goes boom, just tryna look out 😎🔧 Also proper AFR means better fuel mileage and more power.
Absolutely. My next video is about carb tuning. Hopefully it will be up next weekend
@@EvanNolen1989 ok sweet!! Liked and subbed, looking forward to it!
Im totally inspired to open up the exhaust on my s10
Nice! That’s the spirit
And wooden welding table lol no wonder you almost set it ablaze
Gotta keep it interesting
Out of curiosity put it on a 4cyl
You’re funny and attractive ❤ liked and subscribed
Wonder what a 4 banger would sound like with that exhaust?
You also need 180 degree headers. That's that we run on asphalt and dirt latemodels and any class that allows headers just 180 degree headers alone makes it sound good and with what you made it would pair up nice. 2 nd chance race parts on Mooresville nc has a bunch of NASCAR exhaust systems for sale. It sounds like a asphalt or durt pure stock street stock or b mod siunds good thiugh
And you're one of the first people out on CZcams is able to make their street truck or car build sound like an actual race car for circle track racing and not some horrible sounding hot rod that's just straight piped you did a great job on this exhaust It sounds amazing sounds just like my asphalt and dirt late models nothing sounds better than an old school V8 compared to at least new vortex and LS1 and LS6s The LS motors don't sound anywhere near as good to me as a 1970s and 1980s style small block Chevy or small block Ford
Thank you! And yes, LS just don’t sound the same. I would love to do something with 180 degree headers at some point. Next for my truck would be real NASCAR style tri y headers into an X pipe with a boom tube.
@@EvanNolen1989 look up cross over headers from schoenfield the ones I run on everything are 850 dollars new the left bank cross over the back of motor and bell housing that way you can run a proper exhaust in A oval track car or else they would hit the roll bars and bars and stuff in the engine bay and they make it sound way better then non crossover headers. We run 3 1/2 inch pipe typical diesel exhaust pipe and then a x or y fitting then exit right under where the passenger side door would be or through the passenger side door panel like on my asphalt latemodels. Also the gears in the transmission of our asphalt latemodels make that unique sound at high rpms that high pitch wine you hear when they go down the back stretch is the straight cut gears in the transmission and rear end cause we run quick change rear ends and don't use helical cut gears like you would have in a street car. And almost every street cars manual transmission the reverse gear is straight cut so that same sound is what I'm talking about. It's really unique to oval racing. Also look up second chance race parts you should be able to get NASCAR headers and exhaust system for pretty cheap that is lightly used cause it's all outdated stuff from the last gens of cup cars that can't no longer be used in the cup series but us latemodel guys and local track racers use the old cup car parts cause it's cheaper then new parts and top of the line stuff.
06:24. Scientists, engineers, & a select cadre of astro-physically enriched midgets have proven that having 'Ole Glory plastered to your vehicle's ceiling, makes it sound 100% more 'Merica!
I almost want to do this to my 2004 4.2L supercharged v8 Jag 😅
Do it!
Sick
What's your motor 390 or a 460?
390
What engine is in your 72? 351w?
FE 390
Cut fit trim hammer cut fit trim hammer fit hammer cut trim 🎉🎉🎉
Long bed conversion... but like a 12-foot bed.
This is an amazing idea actually.
no regulations about maximum db output in the states?
There might be in certain cities.
