- Hey Everyone! It's been a looong time since I've uploaded a drum cover due to many circumstances that I won't bore you with. I have been experimenting more with SD3 and recently added the Pop Punk EZX which inspired me to bang out some Travis Barker grooves. I couldn't choose just one and I probably could have added 6 or 8 more favorites to this mashup but for the sake of time, this is what I came up with. Note all songs have had the original drums removed using Xtrax Stems 2 software. Some parts are not identical to the original but I tried to keep the general style as close as possible and had fun with it. Enjoy!

Hey Bryan! Yup I finally got back behind the hit after months of physical therapy and my back is still only about 80% so some of these songs were cut short because the pain got unbearable…don’t knock the “other guy”. Trey is a beast and I look up to the sheer talent he possesses! I’m looking forward to hearing your new installment! Time to break out of your comfort zone a bit. I’m sure it will be great! Ahahaha very cool using the head cam! I tried using the chest cam on a video a long time ago and I hated it LOL but this looks so cool! Not a huge Blink fan but you killed these songs. As you do with all your covers. Great job Michael! Awesome medley!
Gotta try to keep things new and different do what the heck why not ya know?? I’m honestly not the biggest Blink fan either but I have to hand it to Travis that he plays some seriously unique grooves and always keeps me guessing what he’s going to hit next…and he does it on a small kit as well! I had fun but I think I’m a bit worn out already ha! I do like the perspective the “hat cam” gives the viewer. Really makes you see what it’s like to hit all of those targets in and around you from our perspective. Thanks for watching Kelly!

In fact it was your recommendation to pick up the Pop Punk EZX which inspired me to record the Blink tunes in the first place! I only had to treat a few parts of the presets to get the right sound that Travis recorded with over the years. Hey Pauly good to see you here! I hope to be back for awhile. My lower back may say otherwise though lol. Been in PT for a few months and I have to say Sciatica is some bitch of a pain in my ass! And yes I finally got rid of the ancient Pd-7 and Pd-9 pads in favor for some mesh pads. I think I’m finally completely content with the kit. Still wrestling with the mixing/engineering which I suck at 😂. Thank you for the support my friend. Means a lot. Cheers 🍺
