Barça and Athletic supporters against Spanish anthem

- In the final of the Copa del Rey in Spain, Catalan supporters (FC Barcelona) and Basque supporters (Athletic Club de Bilbao) were protesting against the Spanish anthem as they are not Spanish.
As a curiosity, the Spanish authorities, preventing that, had installed a sound system of 100.000 watts (aprox. the sound produced by a plane) but the protest was massive.
Also the Spanish TV censored the sound, so I took the sound of a Catalan radio.
To all people that don't understand this, just imagine that some other country doesn't allow your anthem to be played and, instead, they play a foreign anthem imposing their nationality to you. How would you react? Would you sing the foreign anthem betraying your country?
It's easy for all of you that your nation has a state to claim that this is disrespectful. But think about it. We are the first ones that want to respect foreign anthems if our anthem is played afterwards. Visca Catalunya - Sport

It wasn't introduced by Franco. It was first adopted in 1770 as the royal march anthem. It was always used except during the second republic period. Franco only reestablished it (with lyrics) when the "Alzamiento" happened and Natlionalist Spain won the civil war.

This is not the Spanish National team, this is Barça (Catalonia) against Athletic (Basque Country). And the players can not deny going to the Spanish National team even if they feel Catalan. Basically because Catalonia is not allowed to play international competitions like Scotland. And if they deny to play with the Spanish team they can be forbidden to play professionally for 1 to 5 years. A law that only exists in Spain.
Lol firstly if they dont want to go they can just reject their annoumcement, its happened before, and secondly unlike Scotland , Catalonia is a region, not a country. Baviera also wants independance from Germany but they wont get it cus they are not a country.

Obviously the thing about Mexico was irony because the other guy said that a reason for being against independence is that people in Catalonia may have families or friends in Spain. The limit of the contribution for the states in USA is 2%, Catalonia is taken from 8 to 10%. But even if it wasn't like that I would defend the independence just because I'm Catalan and I think every nation should be a State in order to decide its own future.

Catalonia has indebted the whole Spain for years. Catalonia has recieved a bailout of 9 billions of € during the last 3 years from the rest of Spain, in order to avoid bankrupt. Basically, as time pass by, more and more Spaniards wonder about if it is better to let Catalonia going away. This way, the rest of Spaniards would not have to pay for their irresponsability and their crazy expenditures in all kind of silly things.
