Rocks, Drops, and Rollers at McIntosh Run

- McIntosh Run is a trail system in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is built in a pretty open area with sparse vegetation and large ridges of exposed granite bedrock.
It was our first time mountain biking on these trails. They were very different from anything else we have tried. We tackled some tricky rollers with steep descents, rough rocks, and sharp transitions. Came pretty close to crashing once or twice... But it was a great ride!

that spot on flat lake is one of my fav spots to camp...I think me and my STP are gonna go for a ride this weekend back there..as long as it doesnt rain between now and then
You might find having a pair of proper cycling shoes makes a massive difference too.
Yes, it's something I keep saying I'm going to get, but then I never do. Maybe this year! Haha

i grew up walking through these trails until i discoverd MTB back there
is there a way to get to purcells cove from there?
Yeah there used to be a trail that shot right out onto purcells cove rd but it isnt maintained and I would believe it is grown over
if we went tomorrow... would it be well marked? is there much snow?
only way to do the fight trail is on a hardtail
