Both of these platforms have common features that are used in most marketing software these days. Some of the features include building sales funnels, creating email campaigns, building websites, and creating automation.
However, there are quite a number of different features offered on both platforms. For example, Systeme io allows you to host your own affiliate program for digital products you may be selling. This affiliate program feature is quite limited, however, it's a great start for someone with a small budget. Then there is the evergreen webinar feature also offered on Systeme. Once again, it's not the best of its kind, however, it's sometimes better than having nothing.
Whereas, GoHighLevel has many additional features that Systeme io doesn't have. For example, there is a built-in CRM with adjustable pipelines, there is SMS marketing, Invoicing, Social Planning and posting, the ability to customize your dashboard, white-label your dashboard, host unlimited clients under your brand, and finally Whitelabel and resell Go High Level entirely.
There are many reasons why you would choose each of these platforms and hopefully, this video has opened your eyes to what is possible with these platforms. I'm a huge fan of both, but GoHighLevel has won me over on this round.

Thanks for doing this comparison, Phil!!
Wow, you are quick Timothy. It wasn't even posted for 1 minute and you got a comment up 🙌 Appreciate the support!
Very useful, thanks a lot!
Excellent breakdown, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, tks! When comparing just the landing pages, is this better/worst than leadpages?
I find systeme easier than lead pages, gohighlevel is getting better, but systeme is def the easiest
Awesome breakdown. I use a GHL site from an agency and wanted to see if I should switch to systeme, but I think it would be too basic for what I want now and in future. I do like the way systeme is laid out there as I find GHL quite confusing with too many rabbit holes you need to go down to find things.
Good comment. I've been using Systeme since summer of 2022 and I love a lot of things, but I'm frustrating especially when trying to integrate with other tools.
Well my only major gripe with GHL is that zoom keeps glitching out but I don’t know if that’s a zoom or GHL issue. They recently added more features on like SEO optimisation and social media posting tools. It’s all within one system which is what I wanted. I will stick with it. A top tip; if you can get an agency selling GHL to manage it for it that is easier. I found the back office overwhelming and like having a support team who can help me.
Under-rated channel. Subbed.
Thanks Kunal! Appreciate it 🙌
Hi there,
I purchased your training on Systeme, thank for your work. It's pretty good. I been wondering if GHL. If the money or cost of tools wasn't the difference maker? On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, how would you rate the two in strengnh for a newbe that wants to do this once? Which do you think has better potential to be profitable, based on being a beginner & strong interest in affiliate marketing. Which product would you suggest and throw in best website & best all in one marketing system to use? I don't currently have any video marketing at this moment.
I'd also like to point out that I think GHL has a robust community and marketplace that can help you to provide your customers with the services they need, Systeme don't have this right? Thanks?
Hey Tie, thanks for supporting my work! I guess it all depends on what your business is going to involve. If you have clients, or want to sell your own SaaS, HighLevel is a no brainer. If you want simple features at a great price point, Systeme is epic! I actually pay for both, I have uses for both.
In terms of hosting affiliate programs, Systeme integrates with Wise and pays out automatically, which I think is incredible, 1 less job to focus on, however, you can't control your affiliates, so that's also a negative. HighLevel has just launched affiliate programs, so it's a work in progress.
Systeme also only uses webhooks out so you can integrate 3rd party platforms from data you already have, but you can't connect with Systeme ie: booking platform can't send lead to your Systeme platform. No Zapier connection, no nothing. This is why I use HighLevel for most of my core work.
To be fully honest with you, I'll eventually use HighLevel for all my funnels, email marketing, automation, and more as it just has better integrations and the app, you can also schedule to social media from the platform and connect your GMB, and I'll probably keep Systeme for my courses, as it automatically pays out for affiliate programs.
Hope I was going in the direction of what you were after! Let me know if I was slightly off, can easily share more info.
System io for me
Built in SMTP?
Also, I'm still confused about the difference between the $97 and the $297 plans on high level. :-(
Awesome! So I touched on the email (SMTP) at 39:50. GoHighLevel uses a platform called Mailgun which is really effective at delivering emails, but you do need to subscribe to this service. It starts for free for up to 5000 emails per month, then you go into a paid plan. They use this because if you then onsell services to clients or white label, you can actually charge clients for their use of the email service and generate a profit on top, perfect for agencies! Systeme io uses a platform called Sendgrid which is almost as popular as Mailgun, however, you don't have to pay for Sendgrid inside of Systeme.
As for the $97 and $297 in High Level, the $97 is an Agency account for 1x client. This is usually yourself so you can set up your business there, use unlimited funnels, courses, etc. The $297 is an Agency Unlimited account, meaning you can have unlimited clients. This is perfect if you're signing up clients to use the GoHighLevel software which you can charge what you want, and get 100% of the profits. You can have unlimited clients, so there is no ceiling to how much you can earn, but you only ever have to pay the $297 per month for the software.
So in short, $97 is for one client account which is usually your own business, then the $297 is for unlimited client accounts so you can host your own business, plus host client businesses using the GHL software and charging them what you want for it. It's also really useful because you can log in to their accounts if they need help. Does that kind of make sense?
QUESTION: You mention you are using both platforms. Do you keep two email databases then, or are they for different audiences? My background: I am running three personal brands in Spanish and English (meaning three websites with blog, three Instagrams, three CZcamss, etc) and my Systeme currently has 13k contacts, 286 tags, 78 email campaigns, 75 funnels and 53 courses. Migrating the lot gives me the creeps (I migrated from Kajabi in summer of 2022 because just 100 tags was restricting). So... tempting to switch to GHL but I wonder how to keep Systeme as a side to avoide the migration. I'd love to see your views! (If I do get GHL, I'll for sure use your link).
Great question. I hope this guy is not another youtuber with a bunch of affiliate links in the description.
Thanks for the video! I have a question though: Do you have to pay extra for e mail service if you go with high level???
Hey Diego, so you will have to pay extra (or bring your own) for sending. You can use their recently released SMTP service, or use Mailgun, or setup other services like Sendgrid, Amazon SES, etc. It's probably the only downfall, but it massively increases open rates, so not such a bad thing.
@Software Pilot (Legit Marketing Reviews) so in the video you say "if you don't want to have limits you should go with GHL", but you can't even send emails with them without paying for some external service? lol
Also, our affiliate program pays 50% now, not 40%
@@AurelienAmackerRMIF This is an older video now as there have been so many updates, but I guess what I mean by limits is Integrations. You can not integrate contact info into Systeme, only out. As for the affiliate program, that is true, this is an older video. GoHighLevel still has a 2x tier structure and has their Supercharged Car program 😉 And yes, you do have to pay for emails, they have their own in-house solution so no need for 3rd party anymore, still a cost, but not massive. Systeme wins in a lot of ways, but not being able to integrate contact data in from say an external survey, Facebook ad, website form, etc is a bit of a downer. Still waiting for that WordPress Plugin I suggested a few years ago too ha.
@@marketerdojo completely agree! I love Systeme (that now has 60% affiliate commission, 1 tier) but the lack of integrations is proving very tricky, even with the new API, is proving tricky now that my business is expanding. @AurelienAmackerRMIF And the lack of analytics and stats on the blog is quite distressing.
Thanks for the video. I do have SIO account. Never tried HL but from what I saw in your video I should say I'm liking it so far.A Couple questions...Is HL capable of tracking email clicks(multiple links inside email body)? How many custom URLs can you use with the $97 plan?
Hey Sam, so there are general open and click rates like all software, but it does note the specific link and you can also add in automation based of specific link clicks ie: add a note or action for the contact. And for Custom URLs, there's Unlimited! Unlimited everything with HL on all plans, only difference is Agency Unlimited has unlimited subaccounts (clients) and Agency Pro has SaaS mode. Hope that helps!
@@marketerdojo Hey Phil, a marketing agency seems like a smart idea. It has been on my mind for quite some time. In fact, I have pretty effective CRM software that would do the job. However, HL seems very useful. Let me know if you are interested in partnering up to create this business.
@@Sam-fg5mi Hey Sam! So I've been working like a mad man since shooting this video setting things up on GHL. Just mid-way through creating an Agency fast start course (with full 1-click installs) then I'll be digging deep into client acquisition and then adding those methods into the course too. The more I play with GHL, the better it gets! 😍 You can do anything with it, it's nuts! The mobile app is a game changer too. What software are you using for CRM?
@@marketerdojo Sorry Phil, it seems my replies get deleted or going to your review folder! If you are interested in partnering up I can get in touch with you by email, let me know. Thanks
@@Sam-fg5mi hey Sam, shoot me an email if it's easier! hello(at)legitmarketingreviews.com
Thank you for this video. Is your opinion the same after one year?
After a year, I'm still paying for both of these platforms 😅a lot of growth between both of them, they're the best in the league in my opinion. Systeme is the king for cost, GoHighLevel is the best software overall for features and ability. Still unpeeling the layers of what it can do
@@funnelscene Thank you. It is hard to decide. Your idea of trying both will be the solution. I have 3 businesses so this was it will be separated.
Any comments on clixlo?
Clixlo is just a white-label version of HighLevel. My only fear with using a company like that, is they can login to your account and grab your data at anytime. It's a very scary thought.
Also just found out the founder is Michael Force, just type in Google "Michael Force Digital Altitude", you can make your judgment then haha.
Ringless voice mail?
Ahhhhh!! I've found a few things I've missed already. This video took forever to shoot, so new I was going to miss a few. I definitely should have known that one though!
