This is one of the best instructional videos I have seen. Well done.
Glad you found it useful, I appreciate it 🙏
The most reputable appliance guy near me quoted me $450 + tax for this. I bought the OEM part for $100 then put 2 hours and fixed it by myself. Thank you.
Fantastic! Saved me a fortune! Thank you
Thank you for an excellent instructional video! I also had difficulties removing the ntc or smaller connection (1:30), as other commenters mentioned. I marked each wire with a sharpie and also took a picture in case the wires pulled loose from the connector so I would know which went where. However, I found there was enough slack in the wire to pull the pump out with this connection still in place. I was able to pull the pump to the edge of the washer frame and then it was easy to rock the connector back and forth until it came out. Once again, thanks for your very helpful video!
Thanks for the showing!😮😊
Thank you for creating such a great video! Your instructions were spot on and made the repair process super easy. I really appreciate your video!
Super grateful for clear video / saved me a replacement machine - element failed perhaps due to hard ward build up
Very good. Maybe worth emphasising the white electrical box doesn’t come away easily if you forget to disconnect the power lead (as I did at first!) I assumed unplugging it was just for isolating it from an electric supply but you must take it out of the back of the machine
This. I did this too.
Great comment. Thanks for this tip
So did I...bloody hell it was stuck prior to removing it
Me too
Thank you so much! Just replaced my pump and now doing my test run. Much appreciated!
No problem, glad it helped 👍
❤❤❤❤ thank u .. I repaired the dishwasher today...all thanks to you..thanks
Your welcome, I'm glad it helped 😊
Good camera work, clear picture of pump details.
Thank you very much!
Very well filmed thanks
Glad I found your video and was able to fix my dishwasher following your guide. Thank you very much!
Same issue as yours , I took the heater pump apart and only replaced the heater ring to fix it, more step but less cost .
Just done this my self on a 10 yr works a dream thank you
That's awesome 👍 glad to hear it was helpful
thanks for all your work
My pleasure!
Great Video. Perfect fix for Error Code 09. Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Don't comment much but thanks so much for this video. Managed to repair my dishwasher this way.
Thank you very much for the excellent video. It was an easy DIY, thanks to your excellent instructions. Bought the heat pump from Amazon for $96. Removing the gray cable is very easy if you pull out the pump a little first.
Glad it helped 👍
Great video pro service mentor.
Thanks
Thank you, I always appreciate the feedback 👍
Very useful video buddy thanks so much 👍
Great vid mate. All the other vids for replacing this part on integrated (not free-standing) units which is quite different.
Thank you very much. Your video guided perfectly through it, and I fixed my dishwasher, saving ££££
No problem, glad it was helpful 👍
Great video, thank you!
Glad it helped! 👍
Really helpful
I am not getting any hot water, and also, the cycle stops at a Tap error (display only) on my Bosch smv40e50eu. I am not sure the relationship of these two, but after trying to go after the tap display blinking error, everything is pointing towards this heat pump. The video was very helpful (Thank You!). The caution again (as per the other posting) is to be careful with the gray cable (at 1.31 in video); It can easily be damaged. In my case, I Ieft this gray cable in place, was very careful to pull the pump first and then take the cable out afterwards.
Checked the pump resistance and I am not getting the 19-20 Ohms. Instead, something like 1.5MOhms. Will replace the pump.
Definitely sounds like the heater, the resistance is definitely too low. I found several dishwasher without displays will run all the way to the end of the cycle without heat, not complete the final dran and flash the tap light which sounds like what you have here. Heatpump definitely sounds like your issue, good luck and hopefully the new one resolves your issue 👍
Great video and info, thank you
My pleasure!
Excellent, very helpful, thanks
You're welcome!
Thank you. It was very useful

Legend! Thank you
Thank you, glad it helped 👍
Very much helpful video to try DIY. It was almost exact same heat pump in my Siemens dishwasher with error E09....Just replaced heat pump and doing trial run... Hope it works now.
Although I broke my cable for motor at step 1.15 😢 while deplugging the cables on heat pump. Removing 1st & last cable is bit tricky so just be careful not to break it 😊...
Love this video
Its working great since last 2 weeks after replacing the pump. Kudos to The Repair guy. Thanks a ton for possibility to add new life to my Dishwasher. Really an environment friendly decision :)
BOSCH have changed the design on some integrated dishwashers. Above the control / power brick are rubber hose and a water.chamber - great design eh!
I think one is supposed to remove the bottom off the dishwasher now. I did managed to get the power brick out. Those pesky grey control wires fell out of their plug. I posted a video on my channel about the crap new design and later which wires goes where. 3 gray wires! There are, on my model, 2 yellow and 3 grey wires on the control board. Call the grey c1, c2, c3 with c1 closest to yellow. These goes to p1, p2, p3 respectively where p1 - 3 means at the pump. Look at the plug for 3, 2, 1.
Bad pump gives E09.
Bad NTC wires gives E11.
Water leak gives E15.
Thanks for posting this video.
Ah yes, there are a few models now with a reserve tank on the side, you can remove the vent from on the inside which will allow you to lay the tank out of the way but you have to be careful with potential water coming out, definitely a pain to work on. The grey cables are for the ntc and have a tendency to ruin your day lol, the easier way is to remove the cable from the PCB and straighten all 3 cables then pop the plug back on, but well done, sounds like you nailed it in the end, no problem glad it's helpful 👍
I am struggling with disassembling a Siemens dishwasher (similar to Bosch) right now to get to the pump. This is a great video, but I too found that it shows another design where the control unit can be removed more easily. In case it helps anyone, the following video matches my machine and shows the extra steps required: czcams.com/video/delC96kHVKI/video.html
And just like.. the pump is out ! Great video.. so happy I got the pump out.. grey cable is a bit tricky ... looks like damage on the element tracks .. blown at some point .. blue track residue on the main plastic connector .. cheers
Hi, I'm having the same problem with the grey cable - how did you get it out? Thanks
@@Deb-cv6lw difficult to describe but it comes out the same way as the bigger cable... it lifts out.. in the end I got a small screwdriver and levered it up and out from the bottom of the connection.. use a very small screwdriver and don't jam it into the connector,,
Small screwdriver worked! Thanks so much!
Thank you...
You're welcome! Thank you
well done
Thank you, I appreciate it 👍
Thanks, your video was perfect, except for the weird name for a hose clamp!
Yes, in the UK they're commonly referred to as Jubilee Clips - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jubilee_Clip
Have to agree with everyone who said positive things about this video. Thanks.
Thx 💪🏻
No problem 👍
Hi I have change the pump and the water still cold and still beeping but the e9 sign is gone from screen thanks
Check your plugs! In this tutorial we touch the three plugs on the heat pump.
When I pulled the plugs and harness loose the DRAIN PUMP PLUG CAME OUT on its own. They took care to put tabs on the heat pump plugs. But they did not do the same for the DRAIN PUMP plug. This turned my E:09 error to an E:23 error. This was because the drain pump plug came out when I was moving around the wires and that plug doesn’t have a reliable clip.
Hi, what a great tutorial! I'm in the process of replacing the heat pump and I disconnected the heater connector from the main board (white box) that sits at the side of dishwasher. Now I'm not sure what's its correct position. I think it should be aligned to the right, so the side where main power connector is, as the most right four metal pins look "newer" than the other two on the left. Could you confirm that?
OK, I took a risk and pluged the connector to the right side, were the shiny pins are. It is the correct place. Washing machine works as new. Thanks
Hi Thanks for the great video! The NTC cable (or the small connector with three gray wires you unplug on 1:31) came loose when i tried to pull it out from the pump. The three cables have the same color so I reinstalled them but I don't know if i put them back in the right order (in the white connector). I plugged in the dishwasher and it seems to work, but did I do something that might have complications in the future?
Hey, glad this video helped you, in regards to the cables, if they are put back incorrectly you will normally get an error code and the cycle will not complete, so if it's going all the way through and heating ok, it sounds like you got them right. If you want to check the cable, you can remove it from the PCB and pump, then straighten the cable out, the plugs will face the same way and all cables should be straight and not twisted around each other, hopefully that makes sense it's a bit difficult to explain.
Oh right thank you! for the quick answer! I understand how you mean :) I will try that out just to be sure they are correct! @@therepairguy4443

Hi, I have a Siemens dishwasher model se55a590, the body heats up a little but not enough and it gets stuck on 001 and continues until I reset the dishwasher, the dishes don't come out completely clean. Could this be a heat pump problem?
Thank you for your quick reply
Benny
Newly purchased Bosch dishwasher show's E09 , what can I do sir?
If it's newly purchased I would speak to your retailer or call a service engineer as it will be under warranty, if you tamper with it yourself you could void the warranty
Hi I accidentally connected the purple drain pump cable on the side of the controller (unfortunately it fits there) and then tried to start (of course there was an error), eventually corrected later but now I still have the error - have I burnt and damaged the controller?
Do you mean you switched around the drain pump and heat pump connectors, if so I don't think this would damage the board, more than likely create an error, so are you back to e09 now?
No, I had the drain pump cable disconnected and during final assembly I connected the cable instead of to the drain pump to the controller itself and tried to start, later realized mistake I switched the cable back to the drain pump. Unfortunately I have no fault code, just a flashing light on the tap indicator suggesting a technical fault.@@therepairguy4443
What else can cause the E09? I have replaced 4 pump heaters in 6 months. All have the same error after 2 or 3 washes.
Is there any evidence of water around the pump?
Not a drop anywhere on the bottom. I even removed the float to see if it had any kind of a sign of water from the past. New pump will last 3 cycles and post the e09 code. Checked the wall plug behind the dishwasher, and it had no issues either. Dishwasher only item on that line. 500 series
My neff dishwasher will complete a cold rinse but on any heat program it just trips the power after the first cycle which I assume is a cold rinse. Is it worth swapping out my heat pump do you think? Fantastic video by the way :)
Sound more than likely going to be the heat pump, obviously without testing I can't guarantee it, it might be worth looking in the base to make sure there isn't any sort of leak causing the trip, if not I'd go for the heat pump. Hope that's helpful
@@therepairguy4443Thabks for the reply I opened it all up today and there was some water in the base, in around the plastic reinforcing bits to the front of the machine. Also some mouse droppings 😮
You could have an insulation resistance problem. That’s also one of the problems to check for between the terminals.
@@user-dd9fe4tt1c Thanks I got to the bottom of my issue. The seal from the inside of the dishwasher to the matrix had split letting water run down into the base. Replaced the seal and it’s been working perfectly for months :)

I own a Neff but i cant tell which model is. 99% Chance to be the s155hvx15g. Which replacement do you think matches that dishwasher?
Is there no model number on the inside of the door? If not there is usually a sticker on the rear of the appliance with the model number on as well
@@therepairguy4443 Unfortunately there is nothing on the door and to be able to access it i need to drag it out completely. I was able to find the part number above based on how it looks. I had the impression that both neff and Bosch heat pumps were similar... Hopefully the one ive ordered will work
Where is everyone purchasing the replacement Bosch 00753351 Dishwasher Heat Pump? Pricing varies so much on all of the appliance parts sites, but says that they're all genuine Bosch parts. Thanks!
How you know that is that pump that heats the water??? My Neff Machine works fine but not heats the water... Is that pump?
This pump has the heater built into it, this is the only heater one the appliance. if the heater has an open circuit then this will be your fault.
@@therepairguy4443 you are right. I opened the pump and I saw the heater system. And yes, it is damaged... I'm gonna try fix the heater, soldering the lines! T hank you very much!

Missed the most important part if showing the opening of appliance
The appliances are usually pretty easy to get into, also there are many different variations so it is difficult to show them all. But maybe a video I'll look into making, thanks
