I just finished mine on a 2002 Avalanche. I went to the junk yard and got the under seat panel , made my square opening for the fuel pump and cut the donor panel four inch overlap silicone and a few self tapping screws and done. Thank you Sir!

It’s not that hard to change a fuel pump. I changed mine out of my EXT, first time
I ever did it, if you have the slightest bit of common sense it’s very easy

  • @odiarroyo6144

at side from not cleaning before taking the pump out, talking too much about other shit, and the music that make harder to listen to the important and valuable information.
    the video it great!
    thanks man
don't take it bad, but, videos straight to the point are greatly appreciated

The cheapest way is 85 and use racetrac witch is the best quality for the price but it would best to run 87 shell or racetrac

  • @odiarroyo6144

if u test the pump like u say, don't you gonna have lots of gas into ur engine bay?
because the working pressure is 55! 65?psi
i would think that is vetr if in a container u put a bit of gas. plug t pump. plug a house and turn the key for a sec.
pump should shut gas n u will hear the pump running noise.
this way, if it doesn't work. u just spray some brake cleaner in the submerged area and send it back
doesn't what i said, make sense?

Please don't remove that fuel line under the hood and try to start the vehicle you will not only make a mess but you can start a fire under your hood. only a fool would take an unnecessary chance with the safety of gasoline be smart and use a nice safe fuel pressure testing gauge.

    • @crankit3433
      @crankit3433  Před 4 lety +4

I understand your concern, however gas will evaporate and the truck motor was cold so it wouldn't start a fire.

Have a helper hold a coffee can or something under the lines. Even at 65# pressure the flow isn't going to be dangerously fast. Pump runs for 1-3 seconds and shuts off if ECM doesn't sense engine rpm. Try 3 cycles. If no gas ÷ bad pump or totally restricted filter. Be sure to always replace fuel filter with new pump.

Chill out. Seal it up when you're done, no leaks(fumes, exhaust or otherwise).

Once again we see someone trying to fix the truck the wrong way. First of all the way he did is very dangerous. If you're messing with a fuel pump that you can't see through a steel floor the Sparks can cause explosions remember you're working with gas gas is very high a flammable. Second of all if you get a gas leak at the fuel pump the fumes can enter the driver's cabin. Third of all if the vehicle happens to have a gas line leak you can cause death to anyone that's in that vehicle. For but not least if the exhaust system has in the leak it can enter into the vehicle through that hole that you made. If you ever have problem with funding please talk to the garage and see if they can make a payment with you to do it the right way if your family is not value to you do it this way other words please be safe don't listen to these mechanics want to be mechanics. 🤕🤕🤕
