This show was originally conducted as part of the SAMAGAM District Conference of RID 3291 and was executed in association with Theism Events India, Swapna Inc Entertainment and Sparsh Music. Join RJ Arvind and your favourite artists through this unique musical journey to pay tribute to the golden era of retro music.

Reminds me of Kamesh&Rajamani troupe, based out of Chennai,during the 70s. A trend setting pioneers because there were (1)no stage/live show groups (except the great Music director MSV's)till they started it here((2) none dared to recreate Hindi songs on stage in then Madras state. (3) their lady voice was,RIP, Mrs. Rukmani and oh!how she used to reproduce most of the RD&Asha songs;Piya tu almost 100% Flawless. Few years down the line A. V. Ramanan joined them to bring out the Kishore Kumar in him. And a bunch of superbly talented musicians who gave their best to recreate the originals' magic. K&R were a huge hit,so much so they used to do even three shows a day. Up and coming SPB has sung for them. Also today's Ilayaraja,then Raja has participated,along with his brothers,as musicians. And believe it or not,for him and his brothers ₹20/30 each and for SPB ₹100,since he was already a playback singer;and SPB used to share it with Raja and brothers because they were part of his groups too and were really struggling in Chennai. Money was secondary to the passion to music.Most of the audience too won't know a word of Hindi but came for RD's songs. Those were the days. A full meal lunch was ₹12. Petrol 75paise a litre. Contentment all around.

Dada Burman ( S. D. Burman) is the Greatest according to us because Sachinda could adopt himself to any type of music including R D Burman's in his son's early days which he himself encouraged ! That shows His adoptability.
R D Burman assisted his father in movies like Aradhna, Jewel Thief, Teen Devian, etc... plz , don't make silly comments
It is not silly mere bhai. What I said is S D Burman encouraged his son from the beginning. No doubt RD assisted his father in many films and SD has encouraged him to compose some songs like - Baithi hai kya us ke paas and Raat Akeli hai in Jewel Thief, Mere sapnonki rani kab ayegi tu in Aradhana etc. That shows SD's spirit.

Majrooh, Gulzar and Anand Bakshi were favourites of Pancham Da but he also respected Sahir, Gulshan Bawra and others, in Bengali Gauri Prasanna Mazumdar..
Pancham Da in seventies worked for next 100 years and composed about 2000 songs in Hindi & Bengali with over 300 Hindi films...
Rajinder Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Dhamendra chose Pancham Da to make debut of their sons who later went on to become big Heros of silver screen...

What ever and when ever I heard the music composition of R D ji it felt that how he was so brilliant and talented for which he created a musical Maestro. He should be called musical Barron.A musical University under the theme of RD ji may be opened.
It could be more meaning full if we could show our respect during his tenure. It was very sad that he got a huge pain during last few years from his sad demise. should he deserved it for his whole life devotion as well as passion for musical reserch to bring forth diferent type of composition.

But Pancham Da's brilliance was a mystery, he within no time composed songs at many occasions...
