Hey Joerg, I am a medical professional and wound care is one of my best area of work. Numb that hand wound with an ice cube until it is completely numbed. Then use a razor to cut that steel fragment out. Daily would care: Cleanse with Peroxide, Use a lot of Neosporin ointment in the wound, then cover with clean sterile gause. Do this each day for about a week and it should be closed up by then.
Not a genius for doing that, that could have caused a lot of damage by dragging a sharp piece of metal around inside his hand under the force of the magnet.

The Crossbow is already quite powerful on it's own without the modifications. The whole idea of having an automatic crossbow is the convenience of reloading rapidly to take shot after shot if necessary. This modification slows that down with the added pressure.
I miss schaschlik. I lived in Germany as a kid for 3 years in the 80s. Every fest I wanted to get some schaschlik. I haven't thought about it in years until Jorg mentions using the skewer as a weight in the bolts. For any Americans unaware the best way I can describe it is like pork kabobs smothered in a sweet barbecue sauce.
Your comment kind of makes me happy. I am from Germany too and I'm really feeling as if I will completely run out of motivation some day. Biggest aspects for this aren't only the all day life, which can be very exhausting, but also, and that's even worse, the darkness of the cold months from September to April. Since I was a kid I am just loving deserts, tropical, sunny areas and the hot months of the year, which are very short in Germany. But during the summer I feel great. Now everything is snowy, rainy, cold and foggy and I would give so much to be able to wake up, go out and feel warm sand on the sole of my feet. The reason your comment makes me happy is that I have the illusion or thought that people who have that warm climate on the daily are missing the cold days just as much as I miss the warm ones. This would lead to that everyone is happy or sad in about almost the same level. Cause when the darkness and coldness strike it seems like people like you in Arizona, California or Brazil just MUST be happier than people from colder areas. I appreciate you taking the time to be reflective, especially for your own mental health. I was born and raised in AZ, as well as brought up in Illinois. This year it wasn't until December that we reached below 40 at night, and we still haven't had any significant rain in Phoenix since Spring. I love the desert, but I also long for lands that are foreign and unknown to me. I've visited Germany twice, once to visit family there, and once for the Choral Olympics in Bremen. The desert holds its fair share of beauty, which in truth is seemingly endless - and to that extent i believe all corners of the world hold that beauty and I love to share in it. What makes it better is seeing those places on YT and watching incredible people make extraordinary things. I have no such community of makers here, but I consider all of my YT subscriptions as people I would call friends should I ever have the honor of meeting them.

I'm so glad to have found Joerg youtubes for home security! 6:50 Living in Canada/ March 2022 the "regular" Cobra Adder R-Series passed the boarder's inspection it's longer then 50cm even without the shoulder stock attached to it. :) I'm struggling to find a good mat to practice with it, I was thinking to get steal sheets hahahah. Even the "regular" Cobra Adder R-Series is a beast: I wouldn't mess on the property of someone with it. I'm not looking for conflicts with plated infantry it's mainly for farm/home security in an "anarchy scenario" where no police nor army can't cover my sector/ dangerous poachers/robbers/wild life stray dogs etc... It's better then nothing at all wen it's a home invasion with a bladed intruder. In Canada owning a firearm is 73$/y in fees so a Cobra Adder gets paid off the longer you have it and you can hunt with it!! Something like 65 ft lb is the recommendation for big game, like grizzly bears, for bow hunting. A lot less is needed for deer, just to put this in perspective.

Something like 65 ft lb is the recommendation for big game, like grizzly bears, for bow hunting. A lot less is needed for deer, just to put this in perspective.
