Hi Lee, loving your big new pond, well done, 1st class job. I have a couple of ideas for you, why not make a wooden long handled key for the taps on your purge valves, (similar to what the waterboard use for switching the mains water taps on or off), easily done by a man with your skills and will save you bending over with a hammer. Also on your new QT tanks why not raise your windows to the level of jump guards and then get your stainless steel mate to make some trims for the edges, just a thought. Merry Christmas.👍

Nice additions Lee , are you buying finished small koi to show now or are you thinking of growing on for the future , just asking as , I’m sure you know , a small finished koi will more than likely loose it’s finished quality as it grows and gets older , looking at fish to develop and grow on is an art but I’m sure with your wallet you can buy large finished show quality koi to fill those 5500 gallons quite happily, stay safe bud and a merry Xmas to you and yours 👍👍😎😎
Ahh so you are growing on , then I think you missed the point I made about buying koi that size that are what they call finished , as you have done , finished koi of that age very rarely grow retaining their finished quality, you need to look for good skin quality and body shape yes but when it comes to beni and sumi , you want to be looking for developing colours coming through the sashi should be blurred showing the depth of colour to come,the kiwa yes should be sharpe still , just a bit of advice for the future bro 😎

Brilliant concept the big three head to head, slightly different body structure and beni quality, will be fascinating to monitor their progress.
