I just love how you give alternatives to make a truly "junk" journal using thrifted or items that would be recycled. You're so creative!

Thanks for going through the dos and donts as it's so easy to make a mistake. Love the faces.

I’m so glad you explained about the lines needing to not be all connected. Now I know what I did wrong when I tried to make my own stencils over a year ago. Thank you !!! 🙏

I was so excited that you taught us how to make a stencil. I watched it a while back and when I made my last journal I made a cat for my grandson's girlfriend. It turned out great thank you so much

What a great idea. I never thought about using stencils with soft colors so they could be written over. Going to try this today. I even have a box of thrifted transparencies! Thanks.

I made one stencil which is a long vine that winds. I only cut out the leaves and then I just draw the winding stem on the paper in a that connects them. It looks good & because it winds, I can just use parts of it to fit different places.

I picked up a thrifted box of transparencies as well, with no idea what I was going to do with them until the thought of making stencils occurred to me a few days later. And now I find your clever tutorial! Thank you!

Oooh, I love this idea, Natasa! I have a box of clear film transparencies that I got from a previous job. The office was moving, and it was destined for the rubbish but it came home with me. Over the past 12 years, I’ve used sheets in the front and back of 3-ring binders to keep the first and last papers from wrinkling. Yes, one box has lasted that long, and I’ve set up LOTS of binders!
I’ll definitely be looking at public domain images for stencils very soon! Tfs this great idea! 😀

you say you keep all that packaging....WHERE DO YOU STORE IT ALL? I don't have enough space to store everything. my place is piled up already with things I can't or don't want to let go of for one reason or another, and some of it is these kinds of things....packaging, cereal boxes, other food boxes, cardboard, envelopes, etc.
