    I enjoyed this more than any fishing show i ever saw on TV. All I fish for now days is waĺleye, musky, and northern pike. More challenging to catch and actually take some strategy. I got bored with bass fishing and sold all my bass stuff and my St. Croix bait casters and medium heavy spinning rods for bass.

    Damn that chain pickerel was big for a pickerel. I tell ya if you fillet those pickerel bonless and bread them and deep fry them they are even better than walleye. The size limit here in Pennsylvania is 15" but they are much easier to fillet boneless if 18" and bigger. Pickerel are extremely aggressive when they are feeding. I would have been happy with eating those pickerel

    Love me an umbrella rig too! Fantastic bass lure as well.
    PA has no restriction on hooks per line... Only rods per fisherman is restricted to 3 active lines per licensed fisherman. You can use all 5 unless you're at Pymatuning which 100% restricts you to 3.

      @FishingPAwithRyanRead Před 4 měsíci

      @@SageHooligan I wanted to know if Pat decided to join Muskies Inc and or buy the voluntary musky permit since the club helped build this fishery and the permit is sustaining it. Musky anglers all need to take a look at those things and support them if we are gonna take the time to fish for them.

    That was a pickerel? I've caught so many Pike thay are smaller than that. I've also never caught a pickerel of any kind, but I always seen and heard they are just small and annoying. I seriously didn't know they could be bigger than 15 inches. Turns out I'm wrong. Learn something new everyday.

    • @absoluteunitmedia
      @absoluteunitmedia  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Yes they were..did not catch any pike day. The pickerel seem weirdly big around here. Also we were musky fishing so the lures were much bigger compared to when bass guys are accidentally getting pickerel..

    • @r0mm087
      @r0mm087 Před 2 měsíci

      @@absoluteunitmedia That makes a lot of sense. I usually fish for pike, bass, and catfish. I don't know if there is pikerel in my area either. I fish up north Minnesota and Wiscounsin. Never even caught or seen one on the lakes I've been to. I don't know really, might just have some bad luck I 'spose. Or good luck depending on how you view it.
