Koper. Slovenia. Capodistria

Walking view of Koper (or Capodistria) the largest Slovenian coastal town and the second largest town of Istria. On the main town square (Tito's square) there are Loggia Palace, Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (also known as the Cathedral of St Nazarious), City tower, Praetorian Palace and many other important buildings. Koper used to be an island in the past and was connected with the land in 19th century. The name Capodistria (Koper in Slovenian language) derives from the times when the area was under the rule of Venetians, who named the settlement CapodIstria (Head of Istria).

Troppo triste! Preferisco ricordarmela com era quando ci vivevo. Anche se in quella città ho subito la sofferenza più grossa della mia vita. Sono passati 76 anni.
