    bicycle seats are very narrow and press on the nerves and arteries in the perineum. The thighs are on both sides of the narrow seat. The thighs should be facing forward, like sitting on a car seat. The pressure on the nerves and arteries over a long time can affect erection. Period.

    cycling is safe...sitting on your average bike seat for extended periods...not so safe. Then again, the same goes for hard chairs of the type we all sat on as children.

    If you ride properly with a spin of 80-100 RPM and support most of your weight with your leg muscles and core, putting alot of it into your pedals rather than your saddle, this should not be an issue. This is why more elite riders can use minimalist saddles.
