Abdominal CT will almost never detect adrenal Adenoma or Hyperplasia. You need to do a PET Scan of the Adrenals. Serious. You will misdiagnose if you don’t do a PET

Great video, what about prevention and nutrition advices. Would increase of potassium and decrease of salt and water intake do any good.

    Hi CanadaQBank,
Thank you kindly for all your great work! I have two questions.
First vignette: doesn't renovascular hypertension cause high renin > high aldosterone > hypertension and low potassium as well (secondary hyperaldosteronism)?
Second vignette: plasma aldosterone/renin ratio will show that she has secondary hyperaldosteronism, but it won't reveal its 'cause', which is what's asked in the question, right?
    Many thanks in advance.

Hello, I have a question if you don't mind. I just took the blood test and Aldosterone was in the normal range, my Renin Activity, Plasm were LOW and my Aldos/Renin Ration was HIGH. The numbers ranged from 1-30 and mine was a 35. What does that mean?
