    Looks good.

    Was wondering if the magnet actualy went thru the center of the coil would that be more efficient. I know very little on this stuff just a thought.

      in this case probably not as there simply isn't enough wire in this coil. It was basically a test to see if I could resin a coil. The next one will be much better and work!

    First time I have sen this device. what is the purpose, and what is its competitor? Thank you for sharing your build.

      its really a failed attempt to recreate the Star coil and its supposed to be better in producing a magnetic field when energized but I didn't do enough winds. I'm going to make another soon so stay tuned for that! :) BTW your not related to the "Great One" are you? lololo

      Will do.

    Now if you set another coil on top , output coil what output could you get from that 2nd coil, maybe enough to run the 1st drive coil and have excess ?????

    Will you make a video showing magnetic field of cored starship coil?

    • @mcorrade
      @mcorrade  Před 3 lety +1

      so I will try. It turns out that coil was not wound enough and does not do a very good job producing a magnetic field.

    Good job..try it with hall effect and mosfet..you will get more speed.

    Nice concept, I bet if you put ferrite donut within it the outcome will amaze you.

      I'm making a new one cuz that one didn't perform the way I wanted.

    This came up in my feed and I am not sure exactly what you want out of this coil.
    As far as I can tell it makes little difference to the magnetic field produced what shape or number of points you wire your coil to. It will (assuming both coils are identical and fed from the same power source) give a toroidal field with the maximum flux at the centre with a slightly petal shaped field to the points of your coils.
    You may be able to get a resonant circuit (a tank circuit) at the right frequency as you have a decent amount of Capacitance and Inductance with little Resistance. That might get ..... interesting ;o)
    Please don't think I am knocking you (I am not), but your purpose .... other than to explore different coils ..... seems unclear.
    I would suggest a Serpintine coil next. All the benefits of normal coils but really easy to wind!

      ya I did look into other coils including the serpentine and this was many years ago

      @mcorrade  Před 7 měsíci

      @@totherarfI didn't use enough wire in the star coil for it to be of any use. I'm going to try again soon hopefully
