A Few Shoutouts, Advice and Chat About Cloth-Bodied Silicone Babies

- In this video I change Millie (Partial Silicone Olive by Sandy Faber) into a new sleeper and chat about cloth-bodied silicone babies. They tend to get overshadowed by the full body silicones but they are really cuddly and more affordable as well, so I wish artists would make more of them for us collectors. I also briefly contemplate whether Millie could look cute as a boy. :D
I also decide to do a few shoutouts of some channels I enjoy and share some thoughts / advice on shoutouts in general :)

It's a wonderful color! It looks so fresh and sweet on babies and it's not the usual pink that we see for girls, so it's really beautiful. This outfit is a combo of lavender and mint, which is such a pretty combination. :) xoxo

Your sweet Millie is adorable. Love that happy little face. I have partial silicones as well and really do hold them more and take them out more than the couple of full bodied I have. They really are more cuddly.

Millie is so adorable! One of my favourites! I have the same opinion about shoutouts! Millie looks adorable in her sleeper! She would fit as a boy very well but she fits good as a girl too! Love to hear your voice! I love to watch your chats! xoxo

I love her hair - I could definitely see her as a boy though. I have 6 reborns now and feel overwhelmed, because I have about 5 or 6 kits to finish too! I like to keep my babies in a storage tub so they don't need as much maintenance, but I'm running out of room! Thanks for being such a nice person doing shout-outs to smaller channels. Millie is adorable and I love her in the sleeper. That color looks wonderful on her with her skin tone. With her being chunky which having the sleeper being bigger works so well. Millie can go either way as a boy or girl.To me, just looking at her face my first thought is a boy but she does look so adorable as a girl too. I must admit you are the only one I know that has a cloth body silicone. I would love to see more of the cloth body silicones. With the full body silicones, I've seen I prefer the one that has armatures I think it's called. The silicons that don't have that are so floppy that isn't appealing to me. I really enjoy your videos and I do learn about reborns from you as well. I am terrible, at not remembering names. I find that I have to write all the info down and then have it handy when someone ask me what sculp, etc.
I think what's neat about this hobby is that all of us like different things :) I know a lot of collectors prefer the full body babies, but I know a bunch still love the partials. They are harder to find, it seems. I personally don't prefer armatures because it makes the baby a little less flexible, but armatures are great for posability and a lot of collectors love them. :)

I LOVE the cloth body silicones. I’d definitely like to see more of those on the market! I have actually been tossing around the thought of getting one eventually for the last month. She looks great as a boy or a girl! She’s adorable:))
Yes, I really like the cloth bodied silicones too. I feel like I see them more and more rarely but a lot of collectors love them for the cuddle factor. :)

I think If I were to have a silicone baby I would get the cloth bodied as well. One reason is I would worry about damaging it when changing the diapers and clothes! Other reason is I Love cuddly baby dolls! Millie is precious in that outfit and her smile!!!

Hi Nana! I have not yet decided if I really am ready to let her go... she's so precious to me, but I know she doesn't get too much attention in the nursery even though I adore her. Yes, partial silicones are definitely the most cuddly for sure! If I were to sell her, I would ask for what I paid for her plus shipping and Paypal fees covered (or minus Paypal fees if paying friends and family). I bought her directly from Sandy Faber less than a year ago for $3,000.

Yes, the soft bodied babies from the top artists are still expensive, for sure. I haven't decided about Millie... I really love her and would love for her to stay but I might consider selling her in the future. xoxo

I definitely see a lot less partial silicones right now than a couple of years ago...quite sad about that as partials are great!!! I like to have at least one of each as both kinds are so different and wonderful to have.

I think any type of doll is nice and personally I think it is just a bond you seem to form with one (or more) when you first see them and decide to get them. I think Millie could be a boy too - either way. If you make her a boy I guess you need a new name! :)

I’m having a hard time finding a silicone with cloth body, because it’s hard to tell online if it really is silicone. I do really want one though.
I think Doll-Fan is a great place to look. They do have a lot of cloth-bodied silicones come up for sale on the secondary market. I think you have to buy from a trusted seller and do a lot of research.
Oh gosh, I’ve been meaning to post as I’ve been waiting on your Millie (Olive) vid. It’s so weird I also have a Snow White outfit from GAP I saw from your other vid so when I learned u changed the filling in your Millie I really feel like we have the same taste. Did I say I also like realborn Laila (not Sam’s reborn tho) and missed out on an auction. I have my Olive rooted thinner so it knots at the back when I lay her down. Not sure if that’s normal on micro rooted babies..?
Oh that's so cool! It does look like we have similar tastes for sure! I love that Snow White outfit :) I don't know whether it's normal about the knotted hair, but it does sound plausible. Have you tried spraying with a little water and gently brushing it to see if the knot comes out? And yes, I love Laila! I still regret that auction I missed out on of Sam's. I loved her version :)
Not yet; I don't tend to wet or style the hair of my babies although I comb it every now and then when the knot becomes unbearable to look at lol In this case I think it's a good idea. Thanks! :)

The best place I can recommend is www.doll-fan.com in the silicones for sale section. It's $20 a year to be a member but it's definitely worth it.

please, no offence, but i paused you and took a quick trip to ebay. most of the cloth body silicone are from "china". anyhoo, Millie is so cute and yes she would make an adorable boy. Happy Birthday!!
That was one of my points, that there are so few cloth body silicone babies out there.. the ones from China do not count because they are advertising them as silicone vinyl, which is not the same thing. And thank you for the bday wishes! :)
