When I’d get my nails done in the Asian-run shops (ironically which is most of the nail salons in my neighborhood) I wondered why they never did anything with the cuticles when I did an overlay or tips. Like clockwork about 2-3 weeks it’s time for a fill in. I bought my own acrylic kit so I will try it (pushing back my cuticles) and see what happens.
If you want your cuticles removed you have to shell out for a mani. Many people have super dry cuticles that needs soaking and or softened with a cuticle softener before removal by e-drill buffer or a cuticle drill bit or a cuticle nipper.
Very helpful! I struggle getting the nail to fit right because I have to use a larger size so I get them popping off from where it touches my cuticles 😭 but I'm learning and I'm not giving up!
Exactly!! Don’t give up!! I’m learning too!! Mine popped off and my husband has been helping me! He keeps telling me just keep practicing and you will get it!! He understands the products which is helpful. He’s a dentist so has some similarities! Keep at it!! I am!!

When using gel nails, before applying the color gel polish, do you have to apply a base coat first then color? Or can you go right in after filing buffing and cleaning the nail then with your color gel polish since the nails are gel?

How long did yours stay on? I’m going to try one more time. I bought all the stuff. But they popped off after 2 days. But they didn’t fit side to side
