- KitchenAid Cordless Immersion Blender Kit Review
The KitchenAid Variable Speed Cordless Hand Blender comes with the 'immersion blender' motor itself, plus a charging cord. It has a chopper bowl attachment, a 1-litre pitcher with a lid, a stainless steel immersion blender arm with a detachable pan guard, and a whisk.
Variable speeds using a trigger
This Hand Blender uses a variable speed trigger switch, allowing you to adjust the speed with the firmness of your press. The switch has a secondary safety button and both must be squeezed to run the blender which I think feels a little awkward at first!
The variable speed is designed to allow you to blend up a smoothie and increase the speed when needed. You can also use a low setting for situations where spilling or splashing might be a concern, so that's great.
Immersion blender
The Hand Blender comes with both a whisk and a blending arm, where the blending arm is made specifically for smoothies, soups, dips, and milkshakes.
Detachable Pan Guard
Some immersion blenders can be hard on the bottom of pots and pans, particularly non-stick utensils.
Chopper: Mini Food Processor attachment
The 2.5 Cup chopper attachment can be used to chop firmer foods like cheeses, nuts, celery, or carrots. The chopper works efficiently, the pieces fit together quickly and easily without any fuss.
Whisk Attachment
The whisk attachment is for foods that benefit from air being introduced such as egg whites, mayonnaise, vinaigrette, or whipped cream.
Clean up
Talking about cleanup, the blending arm, and pan guard are both dishwasher safe, as are the pitcher and chopper parts; though it's recommended for the top rack only.
Battery life and charging
KitchenAid claims that the Hand Blender is capable of blending 25 bowls of soup on a single charge (based on a 12-ounce bowl of Tomato Basil soup). I didn't test it exactly like that but in my couple of weeks of trying it out, it was close enough.
Overall review: KitchenAid Cordless immersion blender kit
Overall, I really like this unit because it's powerful and handled all my home cooking tasks easily. I also loved the variety and versatility of the attachments that this one came with.
The downsides? The pressure trigger is hard to manipulate in small increments; it's fairly easy to squeeze it too hard and end up on full with spatter everywhere! You'll probably get used to it over time but it's not ideal. You also can't use this device when it's charging, but the quick charge feature does help with that.

Well researched, prepared, and presented. Thank you for a great post and review.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@ErinLawrenceTV You bet!
I love this blender and I love this video with its unbelievably beautiful host 😍
Thanks so much!
You are gorgeous and I thank you fote the review as I was shopping..
You’re welcome 😊
How hardcore can I get with this model? The chopping implement can chop ice? Hard cheeses?
What is the width of the blending bottom without the pan guard on it?
Can some one explain me the cáncer warning? Thank you
Thanks for the detailed review! Does the chopper double up as a processor too? Thx
Yes it absolutely does. Quite efficient also
@@ErinLawrenceTV thank u so much !
Is there a stand for the KitchenAid Cordless Variable Speed Hand Blender?
I found it underwhelming. The variable speed is pretty poorly executed. I think the extra money for corded vitamix is well worth it.
Can you use ice when making smoothies with this hand blender?
You sure can. Takes a bit longer but it works!
Can anyone tell me how heavy this is. My hand strength is minimized. Thank you.
It’s not very heavy at all. And the buttons are reasonably easy to press. I don’t have the exact weight, but perhaps the manufacturer has it on their website.
I don’t get why they made it without the option of having a cord. Most people forget or are too lazy to keep it charged, so it makes sense to have a cord handy to use as if it’s not cordless. For that reason, I’m out. I’m buying the corded version. Thanks again for the videos. Very helpful. You should add a link for people that want the cord.
Thank you for the compliment! :)
A lot of people want the convenience of a cordless version, typically the people that use it often. I got one as a Christmas present and it's great
I always charge mine after I finish using it
Some people have smaller kitchens where an outlet isn’t always near or convenient to use. The cordless is a life-saver and saves you from having to drag around the cord.
The pan guard falls off if used in anything hot ...totally pointless, just don't rub it on the pan!!!
Yikes!
I don't like this blender so that's why I don't like this video. ☹️☹️☹️☹️
:(
I love it
If I don't like a product I don't watch a video on it and then make a derogatory remark about it. I just move on and save my time and energy for good use.
