    Great film! How does Brutus ride on Tarmac? Not sure if the allroad is a better choice for mixed on/off road. Just don’t like the look of twin rear wheels and the loss if space in the back.

    Hello! Love your setup. Is your truck a 3750mm, or medium wheelbase? It doesn't seem like the LWB 4175mm and it's insanely versatile. The Wheel Bearing caught me off guard tho!

    • @Askingfordirections
      @Askingfordirections  Před rokem +1

      2019 model so no options out of factory. extension done by Earthcruiser, 800mm extension from standard. The wheel bearing was covered under warranty... to be fair, i had done 40,000 +kms at 6t, over some of the harshest roads & tracks back to back in around 9 months... if that was the only major, i could live with that.

      @@Askingfordirections Great info, thank you! We're currently driving a Sprinter 4x4 around Africa and Europe and we're seriously considering upgrading to an Iveco. My sister already got one, the 2023 4x4 SWB van and that really got me thinking :)) I really enjoyed your travels and it seems like an amazingly versatile setup! Also very jealous of the wheels, it's next to impossible to find some nice 37s for the Iveco in europe!

      it was a tight track leading in, so didn't have the centre diff lock engaged...
      winched to test out the system, which was new.
      Better to test it out when there were other options if the system was not fully functioning.

    I have been very keen on buying an Iveco 4x4 and my research has uncovered some disturbing reports of mechanical and gear failures along with very poor after sales service from Iveco Australia.
    What deficiencies have you encountered in this vehicle since taking possession, did I see a wheel bearing problem earlier on in this clip.
    On a brand new vehicle???
    That’s a worry.

      I went to an Iveco dealer recently to enquire about a 4x4 daily and the salesman informed me of Iveco's intended use statement. WTF. not suitable for long distance high speed travel. Basically for mine and farm applications. Shows how much faith they have in there vehicle. Disappointing.

    • @Askingfordirections

      it is a beast offroad... 6t and got through everything we attempted. never got really badly bogged so the winching was easy. Changing tyres are very straight forward. Just need to do it slowly & safely.
