You girls are smart AND beautiful! Please visit again!
Thank you !! We can't wait to visit again :)
I must correct you, there were no Yugoslavia wars in 1999. There was an albanian internal uprising in Kosovo (which is integral part of Serbia as a province) that started in 1998 and Nato intervene and bombed independent state of Yugoslavia. After agreement is signed in june 99. (under heavy Nato threat of millitary escalation of war) all Yugoslavia army and police (along with more than 250.000 Serb civilians) withdrew in inner Serbia. And then Nato and Western powers gave a shame state of Kosovo a recognition (it is not part of UN and is not recognised by majority of world states)
Thank you for clarifying the history, this is obviously a very sensitive piece of history and it is important to know the facts.
I'm glad that you visited Serbia Niš and Belgrade.♥️ You are always welcomed.♥️
I can’t wait to come back and explore more ❤️ Thank you for your hospitality

One ozzy and two brits! It was an amazing trip, we can't wait to come back :)!
Putin on a tshirt is not my thing but to give you some perspective- Serbia and Russia have many ties, historicly and presently. We are both slavs and ortodox cristians, and many of both nations consider themselves brothers. Russia helped Serbia in many occasions in the past in hard times, and never attacked or made any oponent gestures on Serbia (like many others had). Russia helped Serbia to reconstitue our state in the 19.century (hence serbian flag is uppside down Russian),and also helped enormusly during WWI. So many local people perceive Putin as a strong Russian leader and would like to wear his tshirt.
Thank you for explaining this, what I didn't get on video is that we met two young Serbian girls after seeing the t-shirts and they explained the ties between the two nations. I think seeing Putin on a t-shirt currently can be a bit sensitive with the current invasion of Ukraine, that's why I kept these clips in :)
@@abbeyfrancis sensitive to whom? Why would we care about snowflake's sensitivities in our own country?
@@abbeyfrancis hey, Abbey, nice vlog from Belgrade. It’s kind of complex to explain. We went through what Ukraine is going through, many times, we feel sorry for the people, but we have enough experience to recognize political manipulations. After all, we were in Yugoslavia, a big country, where we all speak the same language. In this case, we recognize the manipulations of the West.
We are not so sensitive and traumatized by this event, because our people in Kosovo and Metohija are still suffering. We never had time to cry because of other people's battles, to be in a bubble, because ours are not finished yet.
And, guess what, nobody cares about that.
♥️
Hi, will be visiting this month
How will be the weather I wonder if its this hot before 12 days
I think it will cool down by September :) - Enjoy Serbia, it's amazing !
Thanks for upload. Any tips on accommodation and night life?
For night life, you wanna head along the river where they have clubs on boats, unfortunently I was too sick (had the flu) to go and check them out :( and as for accomodation we stayed at UP hostel, I would recommend it for the comfort, but maybe not so much for a young backpacker vibe. Hope this helps!
Nice vid girls. Seems you've had interesting time.
Thank you! We loved it there !
Hii what’s the name of the accommodation ? You guys mentioned it but… the spelling 😅
:) Bravooo !
:) THank you :)
Nice shots!!🥰🇷🇸❤️🇷🇺
Thank you :)
This video is convincing me to go to Budapest via Serbia!
You've totally been convinced! I can't recommend it enough :)
@@abbeyfrancis did you find it safe?
@@tajlyons9452 It's very safe there! Locals are so friendly :)
❤️
:)
Haha, Putin shirts and mugs, something you can buy only in Serbia (not available even in Russia), specifically put there for tourist :)
Very interesting to see and learn about the Serbian/Russian relationship !
@@abbeyfrancis Here is to learn one more interesting fact: the Temple of Saint Sava you visited has unique mosaic, unique not just by immense dimenssions (15.000 square meters), but also by technology applied in producing pieces, artistic solutions and number of people involved in its creation.
You see, that is not "stone pieces", but pieces of cobalt glass that was specially mixed and baked for every color hue on different temperature (just producing mosaic pieces took 3 years, and there is about 50 million of them, and instaling took 1 year more). The whole new technology had to be invented for this, and the nice gold colour was actually made by mixing real gold powder or golden leaves into cobalt glass pieces before baking... Every piece can withstand 20 kg pressure per cm2, which sounds a lot, but than again, mosaic is immense, so the planing of building mosaic had to incorporate also speacial ingeneering calculations of wieght and pressure structure, so it doesn't crush under its own wight (or fall on your head by accident...). For that purpose, outlining of composition had to be done by 3D scanning and put through various stress simulations before it was made possible to build it for real, that has never been done for this kind of artistic construction...
And now most interesting. Artistic idea was made by Russian Academy of Art together with Serbian Academy of Art and Science and special expert team from Serbian Orhodox Church. In the end, about 3.500 artist and experts were involved in the project, but the persone who lead all that army of artist was Russian academic Nikolay Muhin.
The price of that mosaic, just in material value, is colossal (although, nothing is so colossal for priceless result), and it is in whole financed by Russian Government (or better say, by Russian citizens, becasue that was budget money), and under personal iniciative and engagement of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.
So, for all that positive experience inside Temple of Saint Sava, and I saw you went out with blown minds, you have to thank to Russian artists, Russians citizens and mister Putin, that made it possible...
So, now you compare yourself those bombed buildings in the center of Belgrade and that mosaic, and get your own conclussion :)
hi what's the walking tour u took
Hi oops I forgot to link it! Here is the tour, I highly recommend this one :) belgradefreetour.com/
how do we get hold of Tom the local guide?
Tom is actually not the local guide, he is just another tourist I met in our hostel. You can find the walking tour that we went on linked in the description :)

🇷🇸🇷🇺☦️🙏🙌❤️
Yesss Serbia
How much did you pay for the book, it shouldn't be more than 500 dinars (about 5 euros)
Ask for the price first
I have no idea honestly, it was my friend who bought the book, I think she paid 400 (good to know that it's not too expensive)!
@@abbeyfrancis I thought that your friend gives 200 and 500 dinars to the seller, maybe even more. But it's okay if it's 400 din. You and your friends just look naive, but you are actually smart girls 😀
😇👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀🥂❤️🇷🇸
YAY ! The best country :))
That building is from NATO bombing enjoy in Serbia
Yes, amazing to have such a visual reminder of the atrocity!

@@abbeyfrancis yeah , yours.....plz go away as soon as you can, and never return, plz
go away, thanx
No probs x
Wow you really failed with the history, saying Nato was the aggressor when it was Serbia itself. Milosovic
How is it possible to explore the city of Belgrade in two days?
Some lesbians would know?
You are not well come in Serbia!
You're so rude!! We were not in Belegrade for two days and we are not lesbians! Keep your awful comments to yourself, thank you!
@@abbeyfrancis @ Nevermind the creep - he might not even be Serbian! Some of our "friendly ex-Yugoslav neighbors" pretend to be Serbian and are insulting our tourists with nasty comments to make Serbia look bad. Our 'Secretary of State' ms.Brnabic is LGBT gay woman and that tells you there is no discrimination of any kind allowed in our country. I'm glad you had a pleasant stay in Serbia ang I hope you come again!
@@abbeyfrancis You did't have to explain a thing to this shithead. I don't think there is a Serbian that is stupid that much. I will use the fact that your not lesbians to ask you about Serbian guys. What you think about them?
looks stunning
Such an incredible country!
