Just finished watching the docuseries, and I have gained a lot more interest in NASCAR. I really appreciated the honesty about mental health, and the different perspectives of individuals connected to the sport.
I would encourage you to watch some races! There are also good podcasts, Sirius XM nascar channel and social media that make it more fun and intriguing too.

The Netflix series is great! I definitely recommend you watch it, even if you're not a Bubba Wallace fan.

No doubt Kimmel's team knew Bubba Wallace is a good interviewer, and that his wit would work well with Jimmy's jokes to entertain viewers who aren’t necessarily NASCAR fans.

If you finish 2nd-5th every race of the season you easily make the playoffs unless there are a crazy number of unique winners in the season. If you finish 2nd every race in the playoffs you will make the championship race. If you finish second in the championship race and one of the other 3 drivers don't win the race, you are the champion. Daniel Hemric won the Xfinity championship last year by only winning the final race from a pass on the last corner.

Every time I see anything about this guy I’m reminded of how racism is never going to stop existing in my favorite sport. Shouldn’t have taken 70 years for a second black guy to win a race, simply because nobody had the balls to put one behind the wheel.
And the first one didn’t even get credit for it at the time because the organizers were afraid of what would happen.
As the 500 ended again they tried to wreck him out of the race. The hillbillies are always crying.
