    Modern defences have advanced more and more to read the 'passing cues' given away by players. By keeping the hips square to the try-line, using a swift punch pass technique and by fixing defenders with your eyes and body language -- even the tightest of defences can be unlocked.

    Big part of it is identifying where the space is and when to shift or straighten as well. Players who are capable of beating their defender in 1v1 situations may draw that one man or hold another defender enough to create else where.
