In this diy video, we are working on replacing the handle on a hoe that broke and needed to be fixed. It doesn't take much to fix these tools, so no need to throw them away!

Went over to my farmer friends house the other day and I pulled out of the scrap pile - two axe heads, a shovel, and a scythe. - Fixed them up and now they are ready to work again.Ash is our wood of choice. We don't have any dogwood here.
Way to go, Ted!
Sure wish I had access to some woods to make handles. Good job!
Is there no wood around you? Surely you can find some somewhere. Ask around. It is very calming for the mind. Hope all is well your way, my friend!

Could uou make a ruff stock for a 30-06 bolt action rifle that was left to me by my dad
Hey Jim! I just asked my Dad and he said he doesn’t know if he could make one as he has never tried. He also doesn’t have any seasoned wood. -Jennifer

Psalms 8:2-3
2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
Amen
I don’t see where you drilled the handle to receive the hoe, only the hole to insert the bolt. This seems to me to be a potentially difficult part of the job, which we’d need to know how to do.
Not really. Just make a hole with the drill. It is not likely that I could film everything someone might want. I try to get highlights but will miss something every time.
gardens are about to be done right composting the green this is your last chance...clear off the beds, add leaves and organics and let it brew over the winter...after beds are clear cook them with a weed burner all seeds that are cooked will not sprout next year some even used to burn brush on them to add char next year top with some of your own fresh organic compost that has brewed over the winter ...beds will be cleared of maximum weeds which every garden has this issue...kill the seed and clear the beds retop and plant the heat will not kill the good bacteria in the soils as heat rises it will be protected and the char and composts will act like time released fertilizer holding nutrients and water some even top with card board in the spring and just seed the holes for planting anything that affords 99% of the nutrients to go toward the growth of edible plants...people do not plan to fail they fail to plan...the no til methods are labor saving and actually increase production...The oldest of methods using spoiled hay and crap where the forerunner of no till gardening but with fuel prices, and tenessee's famous rocky tops and rolling hills tillable land for hay and so forth spoiled hay may be hard come by this season...but the british have along with others perfected the no till huegel culture and left soils progressively rich for maximum production...and it is huntng season so all organics can be easily composted over the winter so in the spring they won't be to hot to use for planting
Good information! Thanks!
