1992 sind wir mit 4 Motorrädern da rauf, Helmut mit der XT 350, Luigi mit der Transalp hatte schwer zu tun, sein Spezl (Name weiß ich nicht mehr) mit der Transalp kam nur bis zum "gespaltenen Fels, ich hatte mit meiner Suzuki Big 800 meine Frau hinten drauf und damit keine Traktionsprobleme. Die Strecke war damals in vhm. gutem Zustand, erforderte aber schon etwas Mut und Können! Der Rundumblick vom Gipfelplateau bei schönstem Weiß-Blau-Wetter war grandios. Damals gab es noch keine Probleme mit Sperrungen!

Loved your video (maybe not the music , but then I'm old 🤣), I attempted this many years ago on an old R80GS, got past that boarded narrow spot but got bogged down in the snow a bit further on. A couple of years later with some Dutch friends we got to the top on XT and XR600's. it really is a spectacular place to build a fort, unfortunately a clever French artilleryman worked out the trajectory to lob shells over the mountains from Briancon and knocked all the gun mountings to pieces before the Italians could use them! I think the authorities have a big downer on taking this track now, unless they have relented recently.
You can find that taking a look at Google Earth or Google Maps. There's 2 tracks to access the Chaberton pass. From the east or west. And then only one track (with variations) to go to the top. The Eastern way they took to go to the Chaberton pass is the easiest way. There's another track, by the west, but much more difficult. You need hard enduro skills to succeed. bello spettacolo, peccato che a causa di sconsiderati che salgono in vetta alle montagne vietate, ci rimettano anche tutti quelli che invece voglion solamente fare una passeggiata in moto su una strada forestale. GRAZIE A VOI!!!

I limiti alla pazzia umana...non sono mai ben definiti....fino a quando un incidente pone fine all'audacia che si pone sul filo del precipizio, per poi dire é stata una fatalitá....si poteva evitare!!!
@Andreas, was würdest du anders machen? 5,5 Stunden hochlaufen und 3,5 Stunden wieder runter? Dann geht der ganze Tag nur für die eine Besteigung eines Berges drauf. Mit einem Moped hingegen schafft man bei guter Fitness 3 solche Berge :-)
Das befahren ist schon seit Jahren verboten. Bei den Wanderer kommt man nicht gut an. Es kann auch saftge Bussen geben. Es ja auch nich schöne legale Trails.
Hey, we was there with trial tyres on small bikes! There was a military Base on the top! We did not took untouched trails. I think all the cars, military vehicles etc. damaged the Mountain more then we did ;-) So, take it easy.
Fabio Farucci The respect it's not measurated in terms of what way you go on top of the mountain. Zero respect could be coming up with thousand of suv or pollutant cars (much more pollutant than a small 20 cv motorbike!!!) from Milan to the mountains... walking its not the only way to live and respect the mountain
