- Chemistry.
The main reason why you can't throw together a group of star players and expect them to perform wonders on the field. If the chemistry isn't there, chances are that the results won't follow.
If you saw these two play together, you know exactly what I mean when I say that they're relationship was as close to telepathy as us mere humans can ever hope to achieve.
In their prime, they linked together to form one of the most potent strike partnerships that Europe has ever seen
Which brings us to the question of the day; how good were Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke?

The key was that Caribbean link were basically like one big continent so outside of home were like family 🇹🇹🇯🇲 🔥🔥🔥
Exactly 🇹🇹 🇯🇲
mi fi tell yuh !! 🇹🇹 🇯🇲
Football intelligence and instinct... then the brilliance of Sir Alex to put the two together
Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica
Black on black
These videos are quality mate. Proper underrated chanel.
Thanks so much, man. Means a lot!
Possibly one of the greatest strike partnerships in the history of the game in terms of output and sheer chemistry. Especially given they lasted more than a season together.
No team in Europe could stop them from scoring.
His (cole) assists were Soooo underrated. Smooth and eyes up football, his sixth sense was pure magic at times.
Irony. I'm a Barcelona fan...Cules through and through. I'm also from from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹, same as Yorkie. So when this duo destroyed us ...I had to stand in admiration and clap.
Brilliant and deadly pair. Great vid
Same dude
These 2 made me love Man Utd for real. Exceptional strike partners.
Those 2 made love with the same woman at the same time too
@@gold6813 who did they ran a train on yo?
Unbelievable chemistry at the right moment, the right team, the right manager, at the right time, magic season 1998-99.
Coley and Yorkie were so underrated. Top, top strikers.
Noting but facts. they did better then most "legendary duo" n was still underrated to football😅
Yorke, and Cole were a delight to watch. During the 1999 season the pair were fantastic...
I was gutted when York lefted the Villa but I knew he had to leave as we just couldn't give him Europe...we villians knew he would be successful where ever he went..bad boy baller. Trust me 🔥
We were regularly in Europe when Yorke was at the club
I absolutely love these guys I wish I could go back to 98/99 season the best moments in football for me. I thought this video was so good I subscribed 👍
Cheers, man! The chemistry between these two was electric!
It was a great season in English football.
They really were up there with the best... underrated.
No way would Utd have won the treble without these 2 players. Andy Cole has to be one of the most underrated strikers of all time. Brilliant video mate cheers for making it
Cole was amazing, but suffered from playing at a time England had Shearer and Sheringham up front, then later Owen and Fowler too…..
Also was seen as moody and wasn’t loved by the Utd crowd at all (amazingly being seen as a bit of a flop, despite scoring regularly)
When Yorke came along - who was just an amazingly likeable character - Cole started smiling and really started to be embraced by the crowd.
He was just quite stoic, but clearly that was shyness in retrospect.
Suffered from not scoring that goal that would have won us the title, and was seen as this moody and ungrateful player.
Yorkie coming along just changed all that - and he was amazing for us from then on.
Bold estimate, this chanel will have 250k subs by mid to late 2022
Those two were pure magic. The worse nightmare for any defense.
Uniteds second goal against Barcelona in the 99 UCL group stages was a thing of beauty. 3 passes, all first time, 1 dummy and Barca defenders looking like headless chickens. Such an intuitive relationship, almost instantly as well.
United were struggling in Europe b4 Yorke turned up, he is arguably the best forwards that has ever played for united. Also when England played Trinidad 🇹🇹 at the 2006 WC Yorke played on midfield and he was by far the best player on the pitch that’s how good he was
next suggestion: how good were Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidić
Cole and Yorke was the reason I was a fan of ManU at the time. Thier shirts from ManU were the only shirts I ever had in my life.
The way I remember it was this, Cole was good for Manchester United, then he broke both legs and was out for a while, when he came back, he was then much better!!!
Rudduck broke his legs on purpose
@@jaywalkercrew4446 that don't surprise me.
Shin spllts but he came back a gave his all big up van Cole
No skill ? Hah !
Two Caribbean men living their best life on the football field. 👌
Absolutely fantastic analysis of these guys careers I really enjoyed it I'm very glad I found your content as you have a real good understanding of the game
Brilliant duo, my first favourite player was Andy Cole. Brilliant video mate, thank you!
The best striking partnership I have ever seen
The best premier league duo’s ever
These two were the best playing together
Quality videos mate always looking forward to the next one
Cheers man!
Another masterclass. Both these legends and your video. Keep up the good work brother.
Thanks, brother!
The 2 players that made me became a Manchester United fan
During there partnership was the pinnacle of the beautiful game.
Cole and Yorke - amazing. However, Cole also did so well at Newcastle with Beardsley. They were a lethal combination.
Brilliant stuff. Last time i had requested you to use more clips. But the interplay between these two were so good that I loved watching the clips over and over
Man..this is good content...your narration is amazing...
Loving these vids mate cant stop watching❤️
This is my new favorite channel on CZcams. Many of your videos really hit the sweet spot in my football fandom. I became a football fan in the 90's after the 94 world cup and being in the US it was hard to get any decent news and coverage of European football but then the internet changed everything. I pretty much spent all my free time in college reading up on everything going on in the European leagues. Your videos are amazingly well done and bring back many good memories of discovering professional football in my late teens and early 20s.
Thanks for the video - well done.
As a Newcastle player Andy Cole was fantastic.
These are class mate. Keep them coming!!
This was a good find for me. Quality video on two United legends. Love it!
Cheers, man!!
Love the videos mate. Keep them coming.
It's nice that we are living in a time where it's very easy to find a lot videos of classic matches. I only remembered this duo vaguely because I was still very young at that time. And watching old highlights was a nice reminder of how good they were. Not just them, the entire Manchester Lineup back then was great. Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Yorke, Cole, Sheringham, even Nicky Butt. They complemented each other perfectly.
Great videos. Love to see one on Fowler and Collymore. What a partnership that was
I think they were simply phenomenal
Hey, I'm from Trinidad and Tobago love the vid, good job. But we had another player in the name of Russell Latapy aka the Magician. Do a vid on him, I think your audience would appreciate his talent too. He will be unkown to those who only watch top five leagues. Do I have any Portuguese and Scottish football fans up in here.
Is that true there's stadium named Dwight Yorke in Trinidad and Tobago?
@@andiisunited yes in the Island of Tobago wherré he grew up.
@@sluggyranks8594 Is it big stadium? Maybe Yorke is the only Manchester United player who dedicated as name of the football stadium in the world. Respect for him and your country too, Trinidad and Tobago :)
I love ur vids bro I can see the effort I’m literally addicted
New to the channel, brilliantly done. Binge watching now :)
The best channel around
Underrated channel and amazing videos.
In 1998-99 these two were the best partnership football had ever seen, and maybe ever. Its a shame they only got together so late in their careers.
98-99 cole and Yorke = 35 league goals.
93-94 cole and beardsley = 55 league goals.
@@frankdux5693 Beardsley cole no trophies cole yorke 5 in one season
@@ryanmcgrath1102 two players don't make a team though. Are you special needs?
Brilliant spot by Graham Taylor...loved Cold and Yorke...awesome
Great vid, keep em coming.
Cracking video mate discovered a gem of a channel here 👍
Cheers man! Appreciate it!
Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke to me the Manchester United dynamic duo by Steve Irungu Jermaine
These videos are nostalgic & bring back happy memories of my teenage years. 99' was a special year for United and that final is the best football match I've ever watched!!
This is an awesome video! These guys are legends!
Good video, nice narration. Kept me until the end.
The goal against Barcelona was legendary.
One of the most beautiful in the history of ucl.
I was a Blackburn Rovers fan and had the pleasure of a season ticket for many years during the time when Andrew Cole and Dwight Yorke played. Even got to see Cole score the winner in the Worthington Cup final. Brilliant every game.
Top Channel bro! 🤜🏾
Love the video. U should have so much more subs. Hope u get 10k soon. Keep up the great work lad:)
Another quality video.
Very nice video, better than alot of others on yt
Might have only been round for a month but these videos are banging, some of the best football vids on out their
Top videos bro, keep working at it!!
Great vid!
As a Newcastle fan watching the Premier League as a kid, I was devastated when Cole was sold to Man U. Respect to this man for not only what he did for Newcastle but also in his career. Legend.
These two, a joy to watch
Brilliant, the pair of them
Two of the most underrated players but “certified legends”
Great segment
Great videos. well done! earned my sub for sure!
Cheers, man! Really appreciate it!!
Wow you summed up everything mate, very well documented and accurate to a tee.😇🙏
Cheers, mate!
Your videos are awesome 🤩, can you also make on The Parma team of 90s and early 00s and Chelsea before Abramovic takeover. Btw I am a subscriber ☺️💙
Thanks so much! They're definitely on the list!
@@FootballIconic thanks for replying 😊
That 90's Parma team were marvellous
Thie two were unstopable combination York + Cole == magnificent up front
at the time watching them play, I didn't think anything too amazing was happening. i just remember utd having an all round solid squad. even their backups were low key legendary. raymond van der gouw, henning berg, david may, ole and teddy.
looking back at that season as a non utd fan, i have to say it was the greatest team i ever had the pleasure of seeing. at that time for an english team to win a champs lg was almost impossible.
from my 1st knowledge of footy in the 92/93 season up to now. no group of players has come close for me. arsenal invincibles are close but they didn't do the treble.
Unbelievable front 2 they were and to think Utd went for Patrick kluivert before Yorke and if Kluvert never turned them down. I don't think they would have done what they did that year. They had an almost telepathic way of playing together Cole and Yorke. Definitely up there with the Shearer/Sutton & Bergkamp/Henry best Premier league front 2. Cole's only problem was he needed 4/5 chances to score 1 and Glen Hoodle even said that's why he never picked him much for England. Still a fantastic player IMO. 94 Ajax team video would be nice sometime, please.
As a Chelsea fans, tbh this duo is too underrated and didn't talk to much...I don't know why? They one of the best strike partner in PL history maybe ever??
Love the Chanel bro 👍🏽
Cheers man!
The documentary was well done, very cool. I actually went to school with Yorke in the same village, which is pronounced as "Caynan" and located in the west of Tobago. Also, he was not extremely poor."
Top notch video 👍
Yo man awesome video already subscribed!!!
Awesome! Thanks :)
Great video man, was expecting to see more subscribers when I clicked on your channel!
"Yorke was the flashier player who liked to score chipped goals", video followed by Cole scoring a chipped goal, lol. I get your point tough. good video. Not a Man U fan but I'm a Trinbagonian, so I love Yorke regardless
We had 2 seasons with two players at their peak just working well together. EPL and Europe has strong defences so the number of goals they got were exellent in that period. BTW 1999-2000 season overhead kicks were fantastic.
Loved it 👍🏿
ils m'ont fait rêver ces 2 depuis le Senegal manchester fan ❤
Great video, Can we please get a video on Solskjaer next? Criminally underrated striker.
Thanks! Soon!
Love this channel and video! Maybe compare the 1999 treble manutd team with the 07/08 double winning team
After watching coley on the overlap he reveals that yorke and cole never spoke to each other on the pitch so the opposition didnt have a clue what they were upto gives another insite to how good these guys really were, just amazing
Great video
They were the greatest diamonds in the rough. However there were players who wanted the lime light and could have made them even or greater by assisting in today game they still could not handle the purely on the vision movement and determination all you youth want to be successful just watch how these two played for each other and ultimately the team" Manutd ril I die".
Next video : How good was Ole Gunnar Solksjaer
Baby faced assassin!
@@FootballIconic Your channel is quite underrated and one of the best out there!
Imagine ole not injuring his knee
@@FootballIconic I just got here from watching that video. I love these!
Selling one of your best players to your biggest rival was a very strange move on Newcastle behalf
Peak Andrew Cole would be great leading the line for United right now. He was a complete forward. Could play with his back to goal. Beat the offside trap. Great control and first touch. Could play others through. Pretty much nearly everything in Martial and Rashford's games and the bits they were missing. Cole was exellent. Some or his best goals were goals against Leeds, Aston Villa in 1998-99, the overhead kick in 2000. Oh and he scored 5 against Ipswich.
Both on the same frequency. Magical to witness
Great vid
' Scoring and Assisting virtually at will'
I wish Martial was like that 👀
Can you make one of Gudjohnsen and Hasselbaink?
I think both of them are really dynamic duo.
Thanks to @Football Iconic for upload this video, it's remind me how great Man United at that time.
Andy Cole & Dwight Yorke where the perfect strike pair. The year United won the. Treble the where goals galore, the had good understanding on the pitch, ⚽😀
So talented strikers, they were absolutely wonderful
