  • Jackson Beck provides the voice over for this 1973 film. There's a great explanation of Jeep's QuadraTrack System with in this film. This is one of a number of Jeep Commercial Films I've collected over the years and have uploaded.

In 73,my gal's dad had the woody version, power brakes & steering. The 360-4v,auto, & the part time 4wheel,drive. On the highway you could actually hear the gears, but, nothing could stop it. In 73,my dad had a fully equipped Buick Riviera GS. THE Wagoneer, SWALLOWED MORE FUEL than the Buick. Yet, the performance was a difference of night&day. The Wagoner's ride was loud ,stiff, noisy, etc. He wasn't even a hunter, etc. We NEVER UNDERSTOOD why he would own 1. Til we saw him STILL DRIVING IT 14 YEARS LATER. BULLET PROOF!!!

Hard to think that the Wagoneer predates the British Range Rover by 7 years (18 before the 4 door models) It really is the pioneer of the modern Premium BOF SUV.

land rover never acknowledges anyone but themselves. they pretend they were first at everything yet the jeep was on every continent before the first defender was ever created. not to mention the first defender was built on a jeep chassis. land rover doesnt even make off road vehicles yet they pretend they do to this day

These are really going up in value these days. The last year's of production they were pretty plush. The early years they looked like work trucks on the inside.

I'm sure you did. I'm kicking myself for never buying one! I knew a few people that had them, some of the really early ones, one had a factory Buick motor.

These Wagoneers not only look better but they'll also outlast any jeep product thats being built by Chrysler and Fiat.

Jeep really is much larger and bigger than Chrysler....AMC pretty much took over Chrysler when Chrysler Acquired AMC. Not a traditional merger to say the least....with the changes of ownership, three times since AMC, it's really an entirely different company now.

"For confidence is part of the standard equipment on every Wagoneer." BTW which obscure push button or hidden pull lever activates the confidence mode?

      Hahaha...yes...
MPG wasn't really a thing back then. But my '76 Wagoneer with a 401 gets about 13-15mpg on the highway.

Interesting they labelled it a four wheel drive station wagon. Also interesting this early SUV is honored by Forza 7.
Microsoft/Xbox 1 console game. My nephew was customizing one. Lol.

Back when we were still actual Americans. With practical vehicles. That didn't cost more than an average home. I really hope that .... I can't say it
