Something about the composition of these tracks almost gives them a similar "funky" feel to something you might hear out of Jet Set Radio (Minus the vocal sampling/mixing focus, of course), and I am all here for it. Banger after banger on this one.

Everything in this album has insane quality, production its crispy, bass sounded from underneat earth itself, composition and samples are on point, i feel some cassiopea references(traffic jam/home bass), some alfa mist too (Rise an shine), dnb and jungle beat (rush hour) and more. Dude the variety of styles and sounds is crazy. For being an album about a rat cabbie, i sure want to be in this ride listening to all his rat taxi stories. thanks for the great music :^D

That's how you sell an album. Two word title, the album cover is said title. I saw Rat Taxi, I read "Rat Taxi" I click on Rat Taxi.
I really enjoyed my time with this music, Favourite tracks were Rise & Shine, Home Bass, and Recess really surprised me, it took a while to get into it but it grew into something so much more as it went on, keyboards gave me streets of rage vibes which is NEVER a bad thing. I clicked on a whim and will be listening to this one again.

dumpster disco is my absolute favorite, theres just something abt it that tickles my brain so good i can listen to it 9 times non stop without it getting repetitive
(also i find it ironic how traffic jam seems to be at a faster bpm than rush hour, when yknow, traffic jams are so goddamn slow and tedious)
I think it's a more frenetic pace to represent the /feeling/ of being in a traffic jam. You're right that traffic is slow crawl but inside the taxi I'm bugging out slamming my paws on the steering wheel and pulling my whiskers out

I've listened to this album like a half dozen times at this point. I don't know how you encapsulate 10 different vibes for "Rat Taxi" and together they become greater than the sum of their parts. Love this album.

Feels like the soundtrack for a Isometric Crazy Taxi but each level is like a Maze that becomes more complex.
So not only do you need to get people to where they need to be but you'd also need to navigate a Maze. (competitive co-op?)
Could add in some roguelite elements to upgrade your taxi or increase your time or get better tips..
(introduce more rat/animal friends that got different gimmicks like mario kart) Someone make it happen!

It’s the rat race if you know what I mean. Everyone’s out to get some. The gouda. The emmental. Heck, Gorgonzola my friend. The cheese wheel, it’s what makes the world go round.
This is without a doubt my favorite Louie Zong album (previously it was Funky Friends). I love how the vibes shift a lot, one moment you’re listening to something inspired by Jet Ser Radio, and the next you’re listening to Dumpster Disco’s amazing blend with chiptune elements that sound like it could’ve come from a video game, even a hip-hop esque track which I wasn’t expecting. And yet switching up vibes makes listening through the album refreshing imo. Every song in this does not miss. Louie does not miss.

This gave me flash backs to "tail of despiro" the video game, especially the town where their city was made of discarded human objects.
I would absolutely love to play a game with that vibe but all about surviving in the big little city of rats using toys and trash for their little society. It would be all about trying to make enough "cheese" (their version of money) to pay off your debts to perhaps, stray cats.

MY GOD what have i stumbled upon? Only on track 3 "Basement Boogie" and I'm absolutely loving the vibe of this album. This track takes the cake so far.
I can tell this is going to be my favorite album ever. It hits all of my musical interests and does it in a way only louie could, then turns it up to 11 on top of that. It's a masterpiece while also being called Rat taxi and both of those things bring me great joy on this mediocre day.
Rush Hour is another favorite. It feels so right.

Never heard of you but I clicked on this because the thumb and title caught my eye. I've been listening to a lot of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard lately. Also listen to tons of casiopea and funk. Algo knows what it's doing, because I effing love this album. Feels OLD in a good way. Already added it to my routine, I drive for a living. I can see me cruising to this already.
