  • @emdecaro7926
    @emdecaro7926 Před rokem +1

    i think this is beautiful! my question is... are you removing the film entirely or just the backing that the film comes on? wondering how the holographic colors stay when you remove the film? i'm so inspired by your work! obsessed! =)

    • @LiaDiaDesigns
      @LiaDiaDesigns  Před rokem +1

      Thank you💕 you remove the film entirely. You want to make sure you're pouring your resin on the textured side of the film, so the resin forms on the texture while it cures, then when you remove the film, the texture is in the resin, and you get the same effect. 😊

    My wife would like to know if you have a studio where she could come see what you have available for purchase. She feels that you get a much better idea of the item in person, that not all the details come through completely on camera and she really likes your work. Personally, I really liked the coasters you did with the poker chips!

    • @LiaDiaDesigns
      @LiaDiaDesigns  Před 3 lety

      Hi Mark, no I don't, I work in my home studio, and I only currently sell my pieces online. Was there something she was particularly interested in? I've been told the same, that the camera cannot capture all the details of my pieces. To see all the things I make, feel free to check out my Instagram @liadiadesigns , I post there daily, and you can DM me there for orders😊

    Would my crafting heat gun work well for bubbles?

  • @acidrain8711
    @acidrain8711 Před rokem +1

    I have a question, I'm just starting to do resin, and I have a special place to do it it's kind of like a storage room there's no heat I have a little heater I take with me if I want this to cure over time do I bring it inside with me where it's like normal room temperature or it'll be all right if it gets cold cuz I'm in North Carolina tends to get cold out here? Thank you in advance for your answer I really appreciate the help.

    • @LiaDiaDesigns
      @LiaDiaDesigns  Před rokem

      You should check the label of the resin you have, most resins need at least a temperature if 77 degrees Fahrenheit (sometimes a bit higher) to cure properly. That needs to be the room temperature before you start mixing/pouring (your resin should be at this room temperature as well). This temperature needs to stay constant throughout the entire mixing/pouring and curing process. If not, if the temperature changes at any point, you may notice the resin not curing properly, may cause ripples or other issues. Also if the resin is too cold before mixing, you may have issues with micro bubbles. I'm in Canada, so we have a lot of fluctuations in our weather/ temperatures as well.

    Did u peel the back of the holographic sheet or leave it on before u put it in the mold?

    • @LiaDiaDesigns
      @LiaDiaDesigns  Před 3 lety

      i peeled it off - it helps the film adhere to the mold
