Though pitched as a "bonus" for VEP 7, the Epic Orchestra 2 is loaded with amazing sounding patches and is a great introduction to the Synchron Player line of libraries. You might be able to get away with just EO2 to create some great sounding orchestral tracks, but more than likely, this collection will have you tempted to invest more into the world of Vienna's new Synchron line.

If you had to pick between Epic Orchestra 2.0, Nucleus and Amadeus Symphonic Orchestra
Which one would you pick in regards to the following. A: quality, B: affordability C: Amount of instruments & Usability of library.

      @mistral-unizion-music Před 3 lety +3

      A: VSL and Nucleus
      B: Amadeus
C: Nucleus full version includes choir which you won't get with VSL.
The main interest of getting VSL is that you buy Vienna Ensemble Pro and as a bonus it comes with Epic Orchestra 2.0

I believe that phasing was a bug in the initial build of VEP 7. I had it all over the place in an instance of BFD3, it drove me nuts.
Anyway, I spoke of it working with Mr Saletag, the programmer and in the next version it was gone.

Hi, I'm interested in purchase my first orchestral library from Vienna, but I-m a little confused on the versions. I need a complete library with strings, brass, woodwinds and percussions (both solo and ensemble) with at least the basic articulations.
So there are VSL Special Edition Vol. 1 but also this Synchronized , and then the Smart orchestra.... but what is the difference? What should I buy? For example the Synchronized has all the instruments and ensembles of the VSL SE 1 classic, or it's something different?
And if I buy the SE Vol 1 then I can do the upgrade for 35$ to synchronized or not?
Thanks, sorry for all the questions but I-m a little confused on this...

@@brauliosanchez767 on the vienna youtube channel they told me that synchronized it's the same instruments and articulations of the SE vol 1 classic, but with something more like the piano light version and with all instruments already panned and with reverb. Then if you want you can choose to don't use their reverb but put it at zero and use another reverb. Instead smart orchestra is something you can use for speed orchestration but you won't have all the instruments of SE vol 1 or synchronized SE.

Synchronized is old VSL libraries with the reverb from Synchron Stage. That way they are modernised and still relevant... kind of matches the sound of more recent libraries recorded in the Synchron Stage.
Check out Big Bang Orchestra for modern libraries recorded in the Synchron Stage for example. Very nice stuff!

You can buy VE Pro 7 with Epic Orchestra, or you can buy Epic Orchestra without VE Pro 7; but I recommend just buying VE Pro 7 because you automatically get Epic Orchestra 2.0 and Pro 7 is a massive improvement from Pro 6 in terms of CPU use.

For years i found VSL to be ultimate No 1 , really. Player, sound, everything. Last 5 years are true total failure, where VSL has not only lost its mojo, but cannot compete with pretty much cheaper libraries such Cinematic Studio, and i wont even mention Spitfire. Vienna guys, please, get yourselves together, and star making up-to-date product, remove synth sound that you have, reduce your way too high prices, and give two licenses. Your view count of your reviews says enough on how many customers you have lost.

    • @bonuebonue

VSL ist very realistic. Spitfire Sounds (generally)very synthetic and with a cutoff sounding character. In Synchron player you have such a great control of the sound with the controllers that you can log search for in spitfire. So I go with VSL

badstring studio CZcams view doesn’t says anything about the quality of the content/subject. Just look at the most viewed CZcamsrs: “games play along”, “food and fashion bloggers”and other s.. like this. The reality is in our time people don’t want to go deep anymore, they don’t know how instruments, music and musical interpretation works, they want all easy and standardized without too much fine tuning and personalization. And also the price plays a big role: cheap, easy, superficial and standard: this is what the “CZcams viewers” and majority of “music makers” on CZcams want. Art and deep content are somewhere else. My own opinion. Peace.

@@bonuebonue i am in no war with you, no worries. i was ultimate VSL fan, and i find their pianos best of the best. But not strings. I had them, tested them, and did not get result. Their player and stability is the best, but at the moment, they do not have strings that would suffice my needs. I combine several different companies. Only Dimension Strings, when i need small ensemble.
