- You Got Another Thing Comin & Exciter & Turbo Lover, Judas Priest, The Theater at Santander Arena, Reading, PA; September 8th, 2021; 50 Heavy Metal Years, 1st night of the North American Tour
70 years old and sounds better than vince neil.
To be fair Rob took care of himself, Vince and the rest of the band were always messed up even during shows. After awhile that shit takes you down. So unfortunately for Vince he got the shit end of the stick and just let himself go (in more ways than one) and I love the Crüe and glad I’ve seen them multiple times when I did and as much as I’d like to see them at the stadium tour (whenever that is) I think I’ll just stick to my last time seeing them was at MSG for their “final tour” lol
To be fair, Vince never really sounded that great live anyways.
A feral hog squealing its last squeals in the throes of death after taking a high caliber round to the brain case sounds better than Vince Neil!! Hell - my wet farts are more in tune than Vince!
Go back and watch Motley live, back in the mid 80s. Vince wasn’t great back then, either. He Had zero diaphragmatic support. Always had the audience sing parts for him. That’s a dead giveaway how bad a singer is.
@@randywissler9923 ain’t that the truth I thought Vince’s voice was halfway bad and once he got old he really sounded like poop
When I was teenager in the 80's, listening to Priest, one day my Mom walks into my room and asks "Why does he he sing 'I'm your terrible lover'? To this day, I still sing it as 'terrible lover'. Thanks Mom.
Misheard lyrics are the best! LOL
She's you're Turbo Mother.
Gotta love the moms.
Mine asked, what the hell is that
:)
Turbo Lover 🍳
I honestly don’t care how old they are, they’re having fun as a band and to me that’s really important
Rob is a God damn metal Santa Clause. 🎅 Got to love it.
Always delivering the Goods! The Metal God rules forever!
He is!
It's cool the Nursing home let him leave so he could perform a show.
@@c-LAW . And the mental institutue gave you another chance right.
Like Tom Araya 🤘🤘🤘
I’m sure we all long for 1982 again , but give him props for still hanging on .
I’m glad Rob can still sing the way he does at his age. Miss KK and Glenn.
Really unfortunate how all that resulted. Would I still see both? Yeah definitely
What an absolute legend Rob is. 70 and still singing! Crazy
I was young when Judas Priest began making music Now I'm old and they are still making music And I love it
Not only does he sound great for his age. But it's amazing how he walks around with 456 lb of leather on him
Outstanding post
460 lbs to be exact 🤟
I am sorry he doesnt sound great... i am a big fan o JP but its time to go
Gtrrteatt
🤘
even after years have passed, the voice is still powerful!!!
Cannot believe how great he still sounds...
If you dont like Priest you aint a metal head, period.
nah, it's just taste, you can be a metalhead.
@@albutcher9152 you got that right because some of the stuff I thought was the greatest music I have heard when I was 16 now that I’m 56 I think some of that music sucks back in the day ! even some of the stuff people call the greatest bands ever don’t sound that great to me anymore
Fuckin' A!
Yeah!! Long live Priest!!!
This band absolutely sucks.
I'd be ashamed to tell anytime listened to this sillyness
The Gandalf of metal!
Jajajajajja
Gandalford
Lord of the priest jajajaja
Judas Priest are legends. They've been kicking ass as long as Ive been alive. First time I saw them was on the Defenders of the Faith tour. Glenn Tipton and KK were quite the double lead guitar team. God bless the mighty Judas Priest. They've done great work down here.
I dont know what everyone wants from all these Heavy mentalists Rob is moving on and he doesnt have the same stamina anymore but still sound pretty good. All these aging Rockers are the same give them a break there the only ones who have given us decent heavy metal. For the most of 50 years .
They were awesome in their time , respect is due that they can still give a go after all these years .Saw alot of bands in the 70s/80s , love too see them still going . look at the older vids and see how good they were .
Saw them Thursday night and he might not move like he used to but dude can still sing his ass off.
In the 70s rob has long hair and now a long silver beard rock on
If you don't like reading other people's opinions, stay out of the COMMENT section. This isn't even JP anymore anyway.
@@Darth-Claw-Killflex as long as Rob and Ian are still there, its all good. Hell, Scott Travis has been their drummer longer than all their other drummers combined.
Rock on Rob, thanks for sticking around, and thanks for playing half empty venues like they're stadiums. I'll keep coming back!
When father time comes out on the stage you know it's gonna be epic
EXCELLENT, MR
H. YOU CAN STILL SCREAM IT LIKE 1978👍❤😊. EXCITER!!!!!!!
All hail to the Priest in all its forms since back in the day till present day! Rob rocking the beard! Best metal vocalist of all time. High notes..low notes..everything in between..the ability to change the character of his voice no matter what octave? Crazy & amazing!
Ian....my main man pumping out the 16th notes for over 40 years 👍
He is the only one that was there in the beginning--and that was over 50 years ago, friends....
Still playing the same 2 ou 3 notes for over 40 years
Classic heavy metal done just right. The Priest still rocks!
I seen Priest in the 80s.
One of the very Best concerts I've ever experienced.
He is Still Great to this Day!!
Incredible live band still arguably the best vocals of any 70yr old metal rocker by far.
70 years old and still has got it! Rock on Rob!!!
I’m deaf in my right ear now because of Priest back in the mid 80’s, saw them 5 times on Turbo tour and had same 3rd row seats to the front right of the stage for all 5 shows so my right ear was like 10 feet from the Marshall stacks. Great memories.
Harsh comments people. 50 YEARS!!! Seeing them at end of October in Newark. Praying that Tipton makes a special appearance like he did last time I saw them. They (well Rob) deserves this tour!!! Priest forever!
Love them . Not the same without at least one of the two legend guitarists.!
Insecure hacks can't help themselves showing a total lack of recognition of greats
Ian Hill must have the easiest job in Rock.
I know KK Downing has his own project going... Is that where Downing is?
You won’t be disappointed!!! JP FOREVER 😃🤘🤘🤘
He's smart - he sounds like he's holding back too. Trying to preserve his voice for a long tour.
I helped 72,000 people BOO this guy off stage in 1977
@ a led zeppelin concert in Oakland ,
It was a pleasure.
I have only seen them once in concert back in the 80's, but it was the first concert that sounded as good as the album. I couldn't believe it, amazing performance!!
The metal god is back!!!
I get why Glenn Tipton, an amazing guitarist is not touring anymore due to his illness but please get KK back! Rob Halford, is just amazing..
If you read Rob's book Confess, you'd see that KK was a whiny knob most of his time in Priest. Can't imagine anyone wants to deal with that again.
Dave Poissant not only that but I enjoy KK with Tim Owens in their new band.
I agree!!
Richie is KK.... HELLO
And KK has stage presence, this guy looks like he’s going to fall asleep any moment.
Rob still has the pipes!
Been a solid fan since the early 80's and this band still puts on a fantastic performance for the crowd! Rob Halford still has his amazing voice too!! They're my all time favourite hard rock/metal band!
I agree but Maiden and Metallica are right up there
boy the sound of KK and Glen is sorely missed, been playing for over 30 years and the guitar sound is everything to me, I can close my eyes and hear another player, so glad I saw them back in the day, thanks for the post
Exactly my thoughts. Unfortunately I never got to see them live but still happy these guys make Some music
No 2 guitarist are the same so I know what you mean. I have been going to Priest shows since the 80s
I miss seeing them on stage but have to say Faulkner does have both stage presence and guitar chops. However Neap God bless him, he did his homework and it shows but is no KK in any respect
Saw them right after graduation in 1984, Tacoma Dome.....The best and the loudest concert I have ever been to!!
When I was in a pretty dark place especially during Covid19,it was JP and Rob that kept me going. This song,at least to me,meant to never give up on life or yourself. To all those who've felt like me,play this song. BE INSPIRED BY ITS MESSAGE.SMILE & LIVE WITH HOPE FOR BETTER DAYS. THEY WILL COME...
Just saw these guys last night with Sabaton opening up for them. Amazing concert! I'll be lucky to crawl my ass out of bed when I'm in my 70s. And let's not overlook how he's still able to hit those high notes. So many bands want to keep playing 30, 40 and 50 year old music, but sound nothing like they did back in the day. I was pretty impressed!
Rob at 70 and still rockin' it!
He and Sammy can still do it
Hello everybody and thank you for watching this is Rob Halford and I often have to disguise myself behind other other profiles.....I want to thank you for your on going support and commitment to Priest..... throughout the years and decades I have loved you and I love you still.........RH
I'm 55 and I love this MAN. There is no other Heavy Metal Singer who has done what this man has done. NO PUN INTENDED. HE is Metal!!!
Dear God I miss KK and Glenn. Not downing the band but when you have seen the best over the years it`s hard to accept.
KK isnt coming back,, and as for Glenn?? depends on his health
@@johnjablonski553 Yes that is true as KK now has KK Priest and Glenn`s health mostly prevents him from preforming. The comment reflects my view of the of the harmony/synchronicity between KK and Glenn when they would perform together, something that the current line up may lack. Richie and Andy are both extraordinary guitarists but in my opinion lack that ability. Again "not downing the band" in any way and grateful that they are still performing , especially on their 50th. anniversary. Like the saying goes.....no one plays it better than the guy or guys that wrote the song.
Neither of these cats will ever be a Glenn Tipton. Hell if this is as good as ya gotta be I could be in Priest.
NOT IMPRESSED..
Glen yes, Kk, not really and I think Richie is better.
I know what you mean. Have seen Priest 5 times from the 80's 90's and early 2000. This line up is not for me. But I'm still a big fan of their music and I have alot of Priest albums in my collection that I still listen to
I was at the this. PRIEST was amazing and so was the opening band Sabaton.
halford sounds really good actually, im impressed
Rob thankyou for being born without you the best metal band ever would have not been made and that would have sucked. cheers a big fan from 1980. 70s stuff is my fav..painkiller is 1 of my favs too.happy birthday Rob!.
I've seen most of the great rock bands in my life. Have been blessed to see the Priest 5 or 6 times starting in the 80s. No one rocks harder live. Although to me it's not the same without KK and Glenn. Grampa Rob still sounds great.
I'd see them tomorrow if I could, seen them many times in the 80's, rock n roll never dies!
Loved priest all the way back in the 70's and still do
Judas priets!
it was and always will be my most tender and motherly song,
there is nothing more peaceful and suitable for my steel brain. I hate what I love and I love what others hate!....
Love how he's singing Exciter, back to the 70s!
1984, 2000, 2005. The three times that I saw Judas Priest/Rob Halford. The best part was to see the group at different stages of their career. It's great to see Rob now. But, trust me, in his prime he was unbeatable! I saw them at the infamous Madison Square Garden show and they were AWESOME, despite all the mayhem that ensued.
Looking forward to seeing JP in San Antonio next month, thanks for posting. The 🤘metal god 🤘sounding as good.
Just saw them myself last week. Rob is an absolute freak on the mic. Sounded phenomenal. Great show. Highly recommended!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Rob Halford managed somehow to gain his upper register back which is insane considering his mighty age. I saw him singing in 2018 in Pilsen and must say I was impressed
@@davidknichal6629 Too bad that the remaining dates had to be canceled due to Richie’s emergency heart surgery 😢😢😢. Get well soon Richie ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@jackmasters9953 When heard that sad news I was totally shocked tbh. At this laughably young age of 40? I pray for Richie literally. Hope he is gonna get well soon to record another kickaz album

@Legoman10 Thanks man!
I'll be in Youngstown too! I AM SO FUCKING PUMPED!!!
I'll be there on Friday night Sept. 17th (coming up from Columbus) Rockin the Hell out of the Covelli Centre in Youngstown with my younger brother and best friend who's driving 3 hours from Pennsylvania to see the greatest metal band ever!! Judas Priest!🤟🍻🎉🎶🎸🎤
I've been a JP since 1980's British Steel!
No BS mask required either!!👍
Halford um ícone do metal.......hj com sua idade e cantando ainda dessa forma não tem um nome maior que represente o mais puro metal.....Vida longa ao Deus do Metal🤘
amém
Man "turbo lover" omfg, I remember the first contact with it. Round about at the end of the 1980. I was in the basment searching for something, but I can´t remember exactly what. However I opened one box after another when suddenly one of several of my brothers mixtapes tapes caught my attention. It read Judas Priest, Motörhead, Tankard and more. Mhhh mumbling let ´s give it a try and put it the tape deck and the first sound I heard was the flange effect of "Turbo lover" I am in love with that track since then...thanks bro for let me have that mind blowing tape
I have a similar love of a band that my brother in law introduced me to. I love those memories also. Just a heads up - turbo didn't come out until around 1986. Our minds are getting older now. I confuse things all the time
YES THAT'S A GREAT ENERGY-EFFICIENT NUMBER LOVE THAT RECORD A KEEPER IT'S ON CZcams WHOLE AULBUM .ROCK ON BROTHERS
Jeezuz Rob still kicks metal azz at 70! Amazing voice
The Priest is back! Nice warm-up show, and it's refreshing to hear the flaws as well, without a single trace of lip-syncing *cough Kiss cough* =)
Kiss Kiss. Are you saying that his voice was piped in?
@@MistikalMe Hes saying kiss use lip syncing
😂😂😂👍
My first concert ever was Judas Priest on their Screaming for Vengeance tour.Very few ever beat that one I might add VERY FEW!🤘🖖✌️🎸🎸🥁🎤🎹🎼
I was there..His voice still sounds great..
The metal God has been performing for us since the 70s all over the world. THE 70S! And he still goes out there and kills it all the time.
Oh man, I’’m feeling the urge to start listening to old Priest. Maybe some Sad Wings or Rocka Rolla. Aaaaaahh, they don’t (can’t) make music like that anymore.
Couldn't stop myself from headbanging to this. JUDAS PRIEST FOREVER!!!
Still metal God, one of the best ever.keep rock in rob
Rob Halford is our metalgod 🤘50 years and still out there giving us true heavy metal fans heavy metal. 🤘
Halford awesome, Scott Travis and Ian Hill, but i miss the sound of kk Downing and Glenn Tipton, they were a magical duo of metal sound, it's a shame but i still love Judas Priest, they are legends.
It's nothing like that first Budokan show in 2004 they still sounded like priest back then and that is truth. With both Glenn and KK handling the guitars
@@felicelococo9226 I have the 2005 dvd of the live performance in Budokan in Japan, it was an awesome presentation of KK Downing and Glenn Tipton, it's a shame they're out now of Judas Priest.
Kk's new band are awesome. Check them out. "KK's Priest.
These guitarists are problematic...
You can REALLY hear it during their attempt at the duo harmony solo in Exciter!
@@unclejackluminous1470 Yes, they have problems. This Is not a real Priest sound. It's very sad.
HEAVY METAL SANTA!!!! yaaaa!!!!! LOL I am so glad I got to see Rob and Priest live. One of the greatest metal bands of all time.
They sound awesome 👌 love Rob and Judest Priest.
Mr Halford has morphed into a true metal wizard 🤘
Rob actually is moving more in this and appears to be enjoying himself more than in the past. His voice is still good too.
great job. I saw them in Raleigh NC 9/14/21 they were awesome Halford sounded great.
Saw them in San Bernardino in 1978. I was 21 years young. It was the best concert I had ever seen!
Rob Halford - the godfather of heavy metal. He'll never stop. Never. I swear we'll see him wheeled in by a sexy male nurse in a g-string when he's 80.
2wo reunion??
Nice of Rob to let Ripper play guitar in the band too. 🤣👌
The Godfather of heavy metal is doing just fine, thanks.
I'll tell ya these guys well Rob & Ian have been going since the 60s & their still rocking. Don't critique their voices or playing just be lucky your alive to see them still play 🤘🤘🤘🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Forever Halford!!!!!’
Hell yesssssssssss
I see lots of ppl commenting and comparing Vince Neal to the Metal God. Well lets all just get real here for a moment. Vince never has been nor will he ever be in the same league like Rob, RJD, and Bruce Dickinson. Yes time catches us all and no they don't sound as good as in there primes. But these 3 alone will endure and have given rise to the next great generation of Heavy metal musicians and fans alike. Vince will never obtain this stature but instead will be only remembered for what he became not what he was. Watch the video Hear N Aid, Rob and Vince are standing next to each other. Vince tries to compete with the Metal God and Fails!.
Amen brother.
Vince Neil has never and will never be in anyway in the same town much less same class with Halford, Dio and Dickinson . Anyone that thinks he is must be deaf.
My favorite metal band of all times with the greatest singer of all times ✊✊
wow another awesome video from my favorite YOU Tube dude!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
I have always loved Halfords interaction with the crowd awesome shows
Yeah, welcome back to america.
You still got it ole man!!!!!!

BEST Metal singer of all time! Was able to see them finally in Dallas a few years ago. He's a pure monster! So fantastic!

All the drama and pettiness aside, Ian Hill is still metal!
Priest is back and Rob says the same stuff between songs every tour, lol
Whoopee shit. Still entertaining.
