'What It Do Dave' (a reactor) coined the phrase "Vasc Grip" a couple of years ago after noticing that Dan grips the mic in a certain way when preparing for, and performing the power belts/screams. I don't think anyone before him called it that.

I love everything about this - the most gorgeous, versatile, and powerful voice on the planet, lots of smiles, tons of energy (I thought that Dan was going to pop out of his skin at a few points), fabulous guitar work by Garrett, and not really a cover but a total reimagining. "Glory Claw" sounds like something else that maybe shouldn't be talked about in public 😂
Most people in the Vasc Nation have been calling his grip the "Vasc grip". I'm pretty sure it was coined by another reactor that goes by, 'What It Do Dave', a couple of years ago.
The guitarist here, Garrett, has worked with Dan on 2 other songs (Carry On and Dawn over a New World where Garrett did the guitars, bass, drums and some of the mixing.) This is the first song he’s been on camera. You’ll see him again soon since he, Dan and Eric July (“Rippa”) are working on something behind the scenes.
I think you mean the DragonForce cover "Dawn Over A New World" - Rhapsody's "Dawn of Victory" he did with his band Fearless and Fabio Lione 😉

Loved your reactions to this fantastic version of My Heart Will Go On by Dan Vasc. He really turned this into a powerful anthem, one that I could, and do, listen to over and over again. You really need to react to his cover of I'll Make a Man Out of You from the Disney movie Mulan. It is a must, a classic that Dan has reimagined and is like no other. Another must is his cover of Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. He sings both male and female leads and it is a tour de force of vocal kills.
