How was it? I know this comment is a year ago , but have you continued to be an extra or was it not all it’s cracked up to be ?
Thank you. Thls year is my first with Central Casting and I experience tons of anxiety over what to bring and end up being the suitcase person! I have a booking for tomortow that only says "wear your best lsyered look" and a couple options , and had no idea what this meant. It would be so helpful if they providedvsome kind of picture guide for what they mean. This was much more helpful than the description they gave on the details page. I feel like I can manage now without bringing my whole closet along!

Great info! Thanks, I bring my wardrobe to set always,I had been asked to bring casual this one time but it turned out to be dressy, I was not prepared this one time( I was not the only one) I now bring one extra outfit that is not asked

I'm not an actor but depending on the environment like a Beach scne so stuff for hot weather and casual can bright colors work I seen people were bright colors depending on the environment of the scene

I just got set up to do central casting and didn’t realize you gotta provide your own clothes , I literally don’t even own a pair of jeans , I have very limited wardrobe, I guess I won’t be able to book really anything I guess ?
Hey! You should still be able to book jobs as long as you have something that might work for that specific job. You can also communicate with them and let them know or maybe go to a thrift store on days they have 50% off and you can get jeans and other clothes for $3-$5.

Hi Deborah, I think they might have stopped making them? I tried searching it on their site because I have since worn mine out and no longer have them. Their brand is super comfy so try any low heel on and you should be good. :)
I’m thinking of signing up , I’ve already enquired and they told me the rate of pay and that I would need to pay a yearly subscription fee. I also need to upload my pics to the website etc . I’ve never done this before , but how hard can it be . Should I do it , now I’m getting nervous ! Mom of 3 older kids : )
Hi there! :) What site is it? Usually for background/extras casting the websites are free.
I have a question do they provide lockers in the buildings to put all of your belongings in?
No, no lockers are provided. Usually there is a "holding" area where you leave your things. I suggest not bringing anything too valuable as the location of filming can vary from the middle of no where to down town. Better safe than sorry!

Do you think a floral shirt would be too much as an extra
If the flowers are very small and it is a right pattern, it should be fine but you should bring an alternative shirt just in case.
What if you’re meant to dress like it’s summer
Hi Malin, did they send you any emails with instructions? I suggest taking whatever you have as long it has no logos, tight prints, all white or all black. Greens, blues, pinks and tan is usually good. :)

Hi Malin, depending on the type of job you booked, they will have some options there for you. If they sent you an email, be sure to read it all a few times to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Yes, there are a few great ones. I am still represented with MDT and have friends who are with NYLO, STARS, JE, and other smaller ones.

Funny story.. I'm not even a background extra, I'm going to my sister's graduation and my mundane superpower is attracting too much attention to myself and in my sister's words "it's my time to shine" so, I basically need to paint myself the wall lmao
