I'm a 78 year old lady with a bad hip and a bedridden husband. My interests generally lie in the areas of quilt making, sewing and needlework. Dang, boy, since I stumbled across your vids, I've been binge watching you guys with those fabulous huge machines/vehicles/whatchamacallits. I never even knew a lot of this stuff even existed. The biggest vehicle I ever owned was a Nissan minivan. Love your vids and the work you do and the joy you all exude. Great editing, great voiceovers, and stop apologizing. As we royalty always say, never explain, never complain, and never apologize. Stay mighty. :)
You are fake but I agree

marti freedman - I truly hope some one takes you out on an adventure- 4 wheeling - ATV ride /drive snowmobile - something ( if you have not already!! ) maybe heavy D can take you up in the helicopter!!
I love how you're associating America with helping people. Sometimes American imagery and big trucks in general are not used responsibly, and I'm glad you're breaking the stereotype.
I go through Depression from time to time, but your Recovery Videos make me happy. I dont know why, but its just incredible the vehicles you operate, and the different ways you help people get there vehicles fixed or unstuck is satisfying. Great Content Dave.
Stay strong man. Maybe consider finding yourself a hobby, it worked for me :)
try to focus on doing some kind of job like this, step by step. in a few steps you'll also recover vehicles like a boss💪
DUDE ! this country only has one of you . We're blessed to have you and your crew. And your Giant Heart .much love mann . You guys are so inspiring & motivating. If there were only more people like y'all.
Cool idea for the Freedom bus is the Salt Flat tour to no where, well show you miles and miles of nothing, but you got to ride on a cool ass freedom bus!
Once monster max 2 is done we need a tug of war with it and the bus
Yes
MM2 will completely drag the bus
That’d be a sick video for sure!
Best way to make that happen is talk sht on WD's channel saying he cant or something.
That's so awesome. Great to see people who think outside the box and give life a go.
Hi I'm a mechanic in South Africa. I really enjoy what you do and the equipment you have. I've done a couple of recoveries in the Bush but not as big as yours. Hats off to you guys. I really love the older trucks. I really enjoy the channel
The height of the tow hitch definitely helps, when the vehicle being towed, is buried. Lifting up, slightly helps.
👍👍👍

Some people say it's hoarding to have things you don't need. Eventually, you will need it. Kudos on a job well done and being prepared for the unexpected.
Yessir
Hoarding is having stuff you forgot you had and then acting like it’s the end of the world if someone else wants it.
Hoarding is the same as saving it for someone else later on. If people don't save things then they get recycled into white goods.
Just...... WOWOW! Great recovery, great video! And that FREEDOM Bus is over the TOP! NIIICE! thanks guys!
This is an absolutely awesome recovery! The fact that Hunter didn't get run over by his own bus is a miracle. Stay safe 👍☮️🇺🇲
For next time, try a shorter rope of maybe 10 feet. this way as you pull, you lift up the stuck buss and transfer the weight on the rear of the freedom bus and pulls it up out of the hole. As a retired farmer I have used this trick hundreds of times. This is why you got it out when you doubled up your line shortening it by half. This is why you always won in a tug of war because you transfer their weight to your bus!

I gotta say. That bus is the coolest vehicle I have ever seen. Nice to see it doing work.
I love the bus. Hunter was having fun. It was cool that you were not mad at him for ghost driving. But that was a little crazy.

Heavy D is a hell of a driver, gotta give him that. Worked in construction and recoveries most of my life, so that's all second nature. What surprises me is how happy his blokes are, and how good his driving is 👌
His driving is ass homie.
It's not hard to be happy when you have a boss that's a genuinely good person. Everyone has their quirks that upsets people in one way or another, but him being a good person makes it a lot easier to over look.
That was intense, crazy cool, and just all around fun to watch. Great job guys your an awesome team. Keep the videos coming and I'll keep watching😁. I get to have all your fun without all the work.

Would love to see you meet up with Matt down south..
The freedom bus and the morvair!!
Unfortunately u can’t compare matts toys with heavy D
Due Diligence is all I have to say about that...lol
Why don't you ever dig out the wedge of dirt in front of the tyres before trying to pull?
The wedge means you are in effect trying to pull the stuck vehicle up a house side.
why do that when you got a monster truck?
@@Tyshkevich Well, it might have saved tearing out the tow hook?
Russians aren't the brightest.
👍👍👍
I never understood that. Why not put in 15 minutes of effort to save yourself a HUGE amount of work and hassle during the recovery? Doesn't make for good content, I guess.

Monster RV sounds great👍
Is that even street legal
Heavy D = life coach
Man, that was a challenge and a half! When you've that kind of weight buried to the axles, it's going to be like trying to pull a concrete building. It's amazing the amount of torque that 5.9 Cummins can generate with the right gearing! The monster bus definitely earned it's keep in this episode!!😁👍 Well done Dave!
The 5.9 Cummins continues to impress me more and more.
@@Vile-Flesh I love that 5.9. I have a first gen and a second gen, both with the Cummins
That’s cool and that bus is big
"There is like, a wedding, or something; we're obviously, definitely, going to go do circles around it" 15:10 = classic
... also, honest question: wouldn't 10 minutes with a couple of shovels have eliminated a big % of resistance on the first pull?
No because of the suction
I love these videos, the content, movie snippets, the way explain what your doing and why and obviously the recoveries and toys FOR SURE I get lost in these videos for hours lol I love it
THE FREEDOM BUS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!
I was thinking the same thing that has to be one of the most amazing vehicles with one of the most beautiful paint jobs I have ever seen in my life
I've seen it up close.... the paint looks WAY better on video than it does in person... it's peeling off in a lot of areas.
That said - I could just about drive my car underneath this monster. It's quite a feat of engineering these guys pulled off.
dude you have to do a vlog with Matts Off Road Recovery and Fab Rats!!
This⬆️
Yes make it happen.
Need to keep pressing him until he does!
🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
Awesome! Glad you got it done. Now... I might be a bit old school, but wouldn't putting planks in those ruts along the bus's tires have prevented you from digging deeper ruts with the wheels as you were trying to drag it out?
Love your recoveries, Can't stop watching them!
Would have loved to see this video be a collab with Matt's Off Road Recovery and the Morvair!
Matt would have popped that out of there with just the Banana and Rudy’s jeep.
Hahaha exactly they live near each other also lol The corvair would have got it out already lmaooooooo
@@justingeturgun It’d be cool to see exactly how Matt would have handled that.

That bus is an absolute beauty. I just found this channel today, and I am really enjoying the videos. Coming up with creative solutions to absurd real-life problems takes some serious engineering prowess, and watching a group of people all pitch in to look after one another makes these videos wholesome and worth watching. Keep up the great stuff!
Great recovery... And I appreciate your explanations. Love the bus, BTW. Is there a video of its construction? The way it steers is awesome.
It's pretty impressive all the stuff you can do and build and different licenses you have driving and flying ect. Love the channel and what u do
It is heartwarming to see two busses help each other out. They should always stick together. Remember: Alone we get stuck. Together, we haul! #buspower

I sorely missed diesel Dave on this one. Glad Hunter came through without getting squished, that vid of him ghosting was awesome and a good warning for others who would try it. The freedom bus strikes me as underutilized in several ways. She’s one hell of a tool for the lake bed leaving me to think she should have a place closer to the terrain she’s comfortable in. (I see it as a she because she rides gently and with those gears she always makes sure you know she’s doing a good job.). That girl could probably help a lot more people out there on the lake. I look forward to seeing you take what you learned here and rigging her and some specialty gear for rescues such as this and worse.
Thankyou very much for YT for recomending me this video!!!

WOW!!!! What an effort!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!
My boss owns a fleet of approximately 95 school buses, & 1 is a '99 Bluebird "flatnose", or "transit type" bus. I'm going to tell that driver to watch this video. He's going to LOVE it😀
WOW MONSTER BUS ROCKS, LOVE HOW ITS PAINTED!!!! YOUR SUCH A GREAT FRIEND
Two thoughts: first, get another pair of wheels and make an adapter so that you can mount them as duallies on the rear once you get to where you offload the bus from the lowboy. Second, get two strong beams that you can shackle together at one end. Run the tow rope through the shackle and upright the beams into an A-frame with the tow rope high. Once you start pulling, the A-frame will also give you lift up angle as well as pull forward. You may also want to make a pair of jack pads so that the A-frame legs do not sink when pulling. The A-frame can be used with the recovery truck as well.
To go with your dually addition weld up 2 55 gallon drum stacks like side pipes or 2 giant tips as it came out from underneath into the 55gal diameter up to the roof!
You two are wild hahaaa!
You sound like you may have recovered a thing or 2 in your time
the yellow bus was, in effect, a sled that you pull through mud in a pulling event on the salt bed with the bigger bus.
That fredom bus needs a latter to get in both ends of it ! I got a couple of ideas that would have made that job easyer !

Another Amazing rescue. "MAN YOU ROCK"*****
Respect for your work Bro', you think on your feet, and don't let the challenges get you down. I'm a retired solo Aussie Treelopper, a high climber needed when the job can't be reached by crane, etc. Rig em up, cut and swing, it's about mechanics, physics, etc. But one never stops learning, and the challenge to do what others baulk at is the adrenaline surge we crave. The Blue Mountains offer some interesting finds too, but even a retired Lopper can always learn from the next generation. Be safe young man.
