A murder that happen in 1946 in tazewell va that has been long forgotten. Don't Let Her Story Be Forgotten. R.I.P Aileen. #tazewellvirginia #neverforget #cemetery #death #grave
I know that my father, Earl Donald Maxwell, uncle Ed and aunt June knew this young lady as they were living in the Maxwell family house there across the street from the country club. I have so many relatives buried there in our family cemetary and really appreciate you telling this story. Great job! Respectfully, Donnie Joe Maxwell
Thank you I found her online while doing some research around the area and wanted to make sure she was remembered I actually did another video on her on my other channel also I leave the link below I also tried to find a pic of the monster that did that to her but had no luck . Thank you again. youtube.com/@destinationgraveyard
IF the guy had no memory, how did they know he did the murder?? There have been lots of men thrown in jail because they looked similar to a witness's description. And in later yrs., DNA got them released. Makes ya wonder, it does me!
I worked nearby, in Bluefield WV/VA for many years in the 70’s. I had many friends and co-workers from Tazewell and Burke’s garden, somehow nobody mentioned that tragic event. Thank for the info.
Hey just found your channel thanks for remembering this sweet young lady gone to soon taken from so many prayers for all who are left to grieve this great loss!
Thanks for the story. Its really a sad one. Can't imagine the horror she went through. No woman deserves to go through that. Such a beautiful young girl. May she rest in peace. Thanks once again. Keep up the good work.
I just found you recently and subscribed due to my interest in this story. I was born and raised in Buchanan county next door and I never heard of this crime or Ms. Lockhart. The crime we always talked about was of course Roger Coleman and the murder of Wanda McCoy.
I also went to Tazewell high school, but that building was built in 1954. The old high school was where the former middle school was in the town of tazewell, that's where she would have gone to school. That's the middle school i went to not the newer one where the baseball field is now.
I like how you pronounce Tazewell as tazzle. I say TazeWELL...Love the accent and dialect of your area. My kin came from that area! Keep up the good work! 😊
IM SORRY WHAT!? I'VE LIVED HERE MY WHOLE LIFE AND IM JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THAT- OMG DUDE I'M DEF GONNA SPREAD AWARENESS THATS AWFUL ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE'S BEEN SOMEWHAT FORGOTTEN 😭 (thank you for sharing this)
I agree. The high school she attended would have been the old Junior up town which is now the Sheriff's Department. However, been born and raised in Tazewell, I never ever heard of this story. Interesting as well as tragic. I forgot there was a cemetery in Maxwell...
THS was lookin a bit quiet that day. Never heard the story, but recently graduated from the school and family has been in the area for a long time. There's a whole shit load of history here
Thank you so much brother for doing this for this young lady. You said it right a evil evil man robbed her of her life. Hopefully he payed a big price for doing this to her.
5:19 2 AM In The Morning?? What Insane parent, or supervision would allow a child to walk alone that time of morning?? "VERY, VERY SUSPICIOUS"!! 🤔 As a detective my opening question would be, What's Her Insurance Appraisal?? 🤔
I wonder how they concluded that the army veteran is the one that committed this crime?! I would like to see more information on. The investigation and trial! Does anyone know if he was sentenced to death? Tragic! Rip Aileen
I'm # 100!!
