- Join us for our journey through Tazewell. Everything here tells a story; the hills, the valleys, the people. More than a cheap tourist destination, this is one of the last great places in the world.
I left the big city 8 years ago and moved to Tazewell co. It truly is a wonderful place and im thankful every day that God has given me the opportunity to live in the area. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else
Love going out there to see family small slow town but peaceful
What a wonderful piece! My family is from Haysi, VA, a very small town. I and miss visiting there so much.
This is a great video.....I have been thinking of moving from Maryland....Too Crowded and expensive...I have heard great things about Tazwell.....I look forward in getting to know more about tazwell
It's spelled Tazewell. Interesting point of confusion is in the spelling of the name; if you weren't from around there, you would think it's "TAYZ well". All I know, is that if you live in Charleston, WV, Tazewell has the closest Virginia DMV to you.
@@WhoBeSilly Sorry about the spelling……
@@WhoBeSilly I use to live in Charleston…..I went to Job Corp there ….I went back to Maryland afterwards…4 years later move to Charleston for about a year to get away from Maryland for a while …..Now I want to move permanently from here ….I am a simple guy ..I just want to work and relax
@@bigred4335I'm from NoVA so I get that. It's a different life and place down there, I love it as I'm also averse to all the people. I've since moved to a farm town in Oregon after spending my first 20 years of life in VA but I want to come back as the South part of the state is still very undeveloped and uncommodified leaving a lot of untouched nature which you dont see up north
I used to teach in Tazewell County and coached basketball at Richlands High School and we sure did enjoy beating the Bulldogs.
What a wonderful woman. ❤❤❤❤❤
My family goes back aways in Grotton, Tazewell County, in the Early 1800s. My great-great-father was born in 1845 in Harrisburg, Va, and served in the Civil War with the 10 Infantry. I don't want to say my surname, it's well-known in Tazewell County. The family moved down from Hagerstown,, Maryland. They first arrived there in 1749.
I descend from the Shraders on my mom’s side who settled in Tazewell by my 7 great grandad Johannas Christian Shrader sometime after fighting in the war of independence.
looks like Heaven!
Thank you for saying Appalachian right
Agreed! I know it is going to be a good video when it is pronounced correctly.
My great great grandpa Altizer was born here
Please do spotlight on Buchanan and Dickenson counties
When I was on active duty in Norfolk Va, l developed a deep hatred for Va. Sadly that kept me from seeing beautiful places like this.
Learned about this town from a fella in Kimball, WV who grew up here. I'm a northern Virginian so I haven't seen as much of this side of VA but I love it.
