An exceptional playlist, fantastic! Van Gogh is my favourite artist, this is how I discovered your video. My thanks to you! 🙏👍👌🥰
Hey, how did you chose the compositions?
I've always sympathized with Vincent because I've been self-publishing writing books and poems for two years- and nothing. No sales. I've reached out to thousands- nothing. . I write poetry, but it's not like instapoetry. I write books, but they're not YA and fantasy, which is what's popular. I have two fans WHO I LOVE!!!! but the lack of recognition is crushing. I feel for Vincent. He was not celebrated in his lifetime, but he picked art. He picked himself instead of what everyone else does, and that's what imma do too even though i feel doomed to be like Vincent
It's wonderful to stay true to yourself. I hope your writing brings you joy for years to come
Hey , can you please share link or something about your work ...would love to check out ☺️
@@kajalsharma6396 look up Penelope Phosphene, Love Lost Below The Lunar Lampposts, and You're Not Invited To Lennena Bloo's Wedding. I think youtube might delete the link lol
@@killkris thank you. I ain't stopping haha
I'm curious about reading your poetry :) also, you don't have to reach everyone, only the right people, i'm sure they will support you with all their love
Ah, the privilege to have such wonderful individuals paint their fantasies in a world that I’ve created- it provides me with the utmost joy and honour. Take it from me to live your most earnest desires. The way to know life is to love many things, dream many dreams, & drift into the passion you revel in. My gratitude, fellow artists of life.

beautiful reply
hello vincent, have you ever played the hit game AMONG US?
Not to be dramatic but uh, I would do anything to travel back in time and take Vincent to a British art museum in our time exhibiting his art works just to let him know that he is the greatest painter ever to exist and that we love him so much-😭
Edit: YES this is a Doctor Who reference, I’m glad people noticed it😂
there's an episode in Doctor Who with the exact same thing happening
@@SaraKhan-pn6jy yes! i was about to comment that!
Not to be dramatic but I would definitely aid you on your trip
Thanks for reminding me of the saddest Doctor Who episode ever u.u that scene was fucking crushing
I think it's worth at least eleven hundred doctors - I mean dollars. ;-)
Have you ever read Vincent’s letters to his brother Theo. This was an artist with such soul, compassion and love for the poorest people. He died far too soon. Trestle theatre once did an extraordinary mime performance of his life using his paintings as the backdrop and an accompanying soundtrack from his letters. Extraordinary!
Note to self: listen to this playlist while walking through an art museum. This is just heavenly. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who wishes he could live in (or at least visit) a Van Gogh painting.
This is the most magnificent playlist idea I think I've EVER heard of. I'm super interested in art history and Van Gogh is an incredible study. Thank you so much for this wonderful playlist. :)
Agree❤️❤️❤️❤️
Da VinKI???? (sorry vine reference)
how did u learn art history? do u have any tips
@@Cashcash69 I like to self-study using resources like Khan Academy! Sometimes, though, I go down rabbit-holes and get hyper-fixated on a specific time period, so I try to look for pieces like that on the internet. It's super interesting to see how art has shaped history over the years! Hope this helps
@@oliviac3120 Tysm! this is super helpful
To quote Don Mc Clean in the song Vincent
' This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you. '
Every painting tells a story . I cry with joy and sorrow looking at the paintings of Vincent . Ironically this wonderful man had died in abject poverty and now his paintings sell for many millions . A cruel world .
ce n'est pas un monde cruel, van gogh a dédié sa vie à l'art, s'il avait voulu vivre avec de l'argent, il n'aurait pas quitté la Goupil and Co. Mais l'art requiert son sacrifice.
I think it's more cruel that he was socially cast aside so much. From day one anyone, at least now, can see how compassionate he was. And it was virtually never reciprocated. Thank God he had Theo, I only wish I had a Theo :(
Whilst listening, I’ve come up with a pov, so read if you want :))
It is May of 1888. You decide that, you should take a lovely trip to Arles, France, since you live so close by.
(You take the train to travel)
You sit on the train, watching the wind blow through the tall, bushy trees, as the clouds are drifting softly. Soon after, you pass by fields of what looks like uttermost gold, and you feel satisfaction, for you know that you have arrived!
(The train comes to a slow, and finally stops)
You step off the train, and take a deep breath, breathing in the horizon. All of a sudden, you see someone quickly pass by, who had accidentally knocked into you on the way. You fall over, but you hadn’t gotten hurt.
“Deepest apologies, I was hurrying to get to a destination” the person had said.
“No worries!” You say, standing back up.
You see that the person’s hat, all tattered and worn, had laid there, in front of your feet, so, you pick it up and brush it off.
“Here you go.” You returned their straw hat.
“Thank you, dear” the person had replied.
You look up to see what the person looks like, out of uttermost curiosity. While your eyes adjust, you see that they have gorgeous blue eyes, and astonishing reddish-orange hair, with a short beard, to go along with it. The person had caught you admiring them, and they blushed.
“Um- I must go, I have places to be- things to get done…” the person said in a rush.
“Wait! Before you go-
Oh nevermind”
You sighed, only seconds later you realized that the person had forgot a painting! You quickly snatch it, and slip it into your bag, hoping that one day, you’ll see the person again…
Later that evening, you wander to a coffee shop, not too far from where you have arrived. You smell the aroma of the strong coffee, and the smoke that has been picked up from peoples pipes.
“One coffee, please.” You ask the bartender.
“Coming right up.” They reply, smiling.
You take a seat, for which moments after, you see a familiar face walk through the entrance. Its the same person that had bumped into you earlier! You quickly jump up out of your seat, and rush as quickly as possible over to them.
Shocked, the person had said with wide eyes, “Dearest me?! Is something the matter?”
“Sorry for such a quick occurrence! But, I found one of your paintings that you had left behind!”
“Oh!” They replied, laughing. “Why thank you, kind soul! I had been looking for it earlier, and it just so happens that YOU have it!”
Both of you giggling and embarrassed, you hand them their painting, for which afterwards, you ask them what their name was.
“My name is Vincent Van Gogh! It is a pleasure to have met you.”
Still the both of you laughing, he waved goodbye, and off he went, into the glistening streets of France, to never be seen again.
This is such a good pov! This was written very well and was very vivid in my head. Now I wish this actually happened in real life, I just might make it into a skit if I had the motivation to! You better be a author because this is amazing! 11/10 this is just as good as Vincent van Gogh himself. :)
@@HONEYWHERESMYSUPERSUIT. Awww thanks so much! It’s the great people like you that just make my day :) Aside from this, I’ve honestly been thinking of writing a book on this pov someday! Also, you should TOTALLY make a skit about it!! I bet it would be amazing :))
That's actually really good! I would read the whole thing if it was a book.
Please let us know if you make this a book!

Vincent Van Gogh just, I don’t know, his paintings have always been so close to my heart. I’m sure he’d be so happy to see his paintings so famous nowadays. Oh, man, I aspire to be as great as he is
if you want more of his beautiful world, the movie Loving Vincent might be one of my favorite movies ever. It's an animation film entirely hand painted by 125 artists. A moving portrait, an insight of Vincent's vision of the world
that's so interesting! i'll definitely check it out :)

thank you for suggesting this! you're wonderful!
@@harmonybade324 my pleasure ! This movie is criminally underrated, it's a shame. It's such a masterpiece, more people should see it
Came back to this playlist just after watching... Such a magnificent movie
Years ago, I went on a cruise and the ship was themed after various artists. Monet, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, and of course Van Gogh. Being an art major at the time, I was in awe. Each room had a different artist motif.
And of course, there was a Van Gogh room. It was like walking into one of his paintings. One of the most peaceful and surreal experiences, I've ever had.
this sounds like an absolute dream!!
whats the cruise called, i wanna see photos of it
@@simianto9957 A lot of cruises have themes that they change annually or so. I doubt that it was permanent.
to my mind, debussy and van gogh blend into each other almost perfectly. I feel like they're conveying the exact same energy and message through different types of art. There's just something that's intangible and moody in both van gogh's paintings and debussy's works. It feels like floating, and i often think about how debussy's works sound like an impressionist's painting, especially van gogh! i love what you did with this playlist, cheers:)
I mean, debussy is also impressionists, and thus their art converged in a lot of ways. So your point is valid, they sort of complement each other - and that's amazing
I agree but Van Gogh was no impressionist. He was a more of a post-impressionist.
Gymnopedie no.1 is also very very much in line with Van Gogh imo, there's this sadness, and this irrepressible beauty and appreciation for beauty that seeps through both of them.
Attempts of soothing pain through admiration, and through that admiration, the expression of utmost sincere appreciation for the world, and a backdrop of sorrow weaving through it all.
When I think of Van Gogh I see Starry Night, and with that I HEAR Gymnopedie No. 1.
@@abdallahhakeem5185 wow, this is so beautifully written, i love your approach
@@mariatzilia8678 Thanks! You just reminded me that I wanted to add more in my comment that I couldn't because I had to go earlier
Starry Night and Gymnopedie no.1 both always felt like a loved one (be it family or a good friend) finding you after a really bad day, truly listening to your sorrows and comforting you, not shoving your emotions away offhandedly, but embracing them and relating their point of view, showing you that you are right to be hurting, and you can take your time, but you can't let it overtake you.
Dawn will come after these hours of darkness, but in the meantime, since we have to go through it either way, let's enjoy this starry, starry night
PLEASEEEEEE can you make this a series of going inside different artist's paintings? This is definitely my new favourite playlist of yours and I would kill for some Rembrandt and Da Vinci!!!!! :D
I totally agree with you! I'd expect to see Rachmaninoff in a Da Vinci playlist, tbh. I can almost imagine it. What a beautiful trance to fall into... an artist's painting.
then you should visit our channel
I studied a lot on Van Gogh the past years and I’m really impressed on how accurate the music choice fits the modern days image on this impressive genius.
I’m listening to this playlist while reading Van Gogh’s letters to his brother, Theo… It feels like I’m in a different world. Beautiful playlist, thank you💙
Damn, Vincent. Only if you knew how much you made an impact on people's hearts. I am forever grateful for you, I'd never knew how much art means to me. Now I cannot imagine myself not being able to create art ever again.
I love art with a passion. Even though im a horrid artist, the visualization of the world around you is breathtaking in everyway. Flowers are another one of my favorite things. The way they bloom, the way they vary only from a change in scenery. Van Gogh will always cure my wounded soul in hard times. He reminds me always that even for sad people in life, there's still beauty in it to enjoy and prosper with.
I love the aesthetic of the Cafe painting so much, gives me homey and happy vibes.
i actually went to a museum exhibit with van gogh paintings, and it literally made you feel like you were in the painting. it was animated and everything.
I've got to say that these POV playlists are something that enables me to live so many different lives and I love every minute of it.
classical music is way better than lofi at helping me focus, especially this beautiful yet simple playlist.thanks a lot.
Wow, it's the complete opposite for me. Classical music makes me way too emotional and I need to sit down and close my eyes when I listen to it.
I love Vincent so much, his paintings for me are very comforting to look at and every time I really do look at them I cry which is funny, but they just make me feel so comforted in my chaotic life.
Van Gogh was a great artist, although a very troubled man. His work has inspired me very much, thank you nobody for uploading this amazing playlist.
The portrait in the thumbnail is not by van Gogh, it was painted by the Australian impressionist John Russell when they were both at art school. Vincent liked it so much that Russell gave him the portrait. It certainly captures the depth of expression and intensity of feeling in Vincent's eyes and face. I wonder how much it influenced Vincent's own self portraits with their unflinching piercing gaze?
Cool playlist also, well chosen images and music.
Okat, that's my new favorite playlist
Omg
Ultravclet the legend! Love to see this classical music youtube niche coming together to support one another
I closed my eyes and imagined what this painting may look like. As I opened my eyes again it actually matched my impression.
Whoa!
I’ve been obsessed with Van Gogh for years, this absolutely makes my feel like I’m in his magnificent paintings
Speaking of being in a Van Gogh painting, I highly recommend the film Loving Vincent. It's the first feature film to have every single frame hand-painted. It's beautiful to say the least
I'm currently studying differential equations. This playlist gives me that 5% boost that keeps me going...
Just a few days ago in my city there was an interactive exposition of all Vincent paintings, a huge room filled with all of his art in movement, This kind of music played and I can tell it was the best thing I`ve seen in my life
He's my favorite painter. LOVE Sunflowers!!
I love the idea of you combining classical music with Van Gogh paintings! Van Gogh is definitely one of the world's greatest artists. It's such a shame that he could've been awarded better when he was alive. I'm sure that he would've appreciated knowing how his work has been inspiring for artists and musicians alike, especially in the mental health department. :)
i feel very lucky to see some of his work in person it was surreal
I love Nadia Boulanger, and now I’ve discovered that I also love Lili Boulanger. Also thank you so much for including the piece, composer, and performers for each piece as well as the artwork.
You did a wonderful job matching the atmosphere of the music to the paintings 🎼
I'm really glad to see that. It makes me really happy. ❤️
I just discovered this playlist and wow. Van Gogh is my favourite painter and I love classical music. I am so happy to have discover this. I really felt like I was inside Van Gogh paintings. Thank you
ahhh so excited i love ur playlists!
the combination is so deep i can´t help but inexplicably cry, tears of joy.
I could have been crying right now, but I'll just listen to this amazing playlist in complete joy. Thank you so much, it's perfect 🥺
I have to say that these painting/music pairings are opening up my world! Thanks for introducing me to some awesome works of art in this artist-themed series. They make me want to figure out how to get more art in my life.
This reminds me of Loving Vincent in a way💫 love it!! I'll imagine myself walking through his paintings at work today.💓❤💞
I like how youre going from Vikings on mushrooms to van gogh paintings xD thats what i did, and even in the same day
I visited vienna this week just to see his collection. And the music combined with his art was magnificent. It felt like you are in a dream were Van Gogh tells you his Story of Life.
I’ve been really sick but I’m an artist and my favorite artist is Van Gogh so this helps me thank you it’s so relaxing
This is just perfect! It helped me a lot with a deadline I've got. Now I can't wait to be in all my favourite artists' paintings. Thank you!
One of those playlists you need to WATCH and not just listen 🔥 This is amazing
Last year, me and a friend went to Minneapolis in Minnesota to go an immersive Van Gigh art exhibit. I loved every moment of it, and the music in the playlist reminds me of the music that was playing while we were immersed in his artwork. It moved me to the point where I was on the verge of tears. Two weeks after that, my mother and her mother went to the same art exhibit and had a similar experience. It's a moment in my life I'm never going to forget, and listening to this playlist solidifies it.
I can't wait!!! How exciting!
I've been anticipating this playlist!
I could feel every emotion in this playlist
I'm going for the Van Gogh 360° event tomorrow and I guess this is exactly what I needed!
I really love this concept, its lovely
Van Goh is my favorite!

I absolutely love this playlist :)
this is lovely. thank you so much.
omg I'm so excited !!!
As a painter and a classical music enjoyer, this is a great playlist for me lol
beautifully made playlist✨
thanks for making this 💗
You have wonderful playlists, I am so excited about this one
Pls dont stop making all this playlist. ❤❤❤
I absolutely love these playlists! It would be so cool if you could make one for being inside of Salvador Dalí's paintings (although the songs would probably be very weird given that the paintings are weird themselves 🙃😵💫)
This reminds me of the Akira Kurosawa film Dreams in which one segment involves the dreamer entering Van Gogh's paintings and even engaging the artist (played by Martin Scorsese) in conversation.
Sooo excited!
Amazing, thank you!!!!!!!
Good images quality
This is excellent/the suggestions are on point/and all of your playlist ideas are so creative :) I second doing some other artists (perhaps more non-European ones) when you have the time!
Pure art, thanks for the channel
I would go for psychedelic trance for Van Gogh's paintings.
Omg i cant wait!
Patiently waiting ❤️
LOVE THIS! Can you do a series where you sort the paintings not by artist, but by the museum/gallery they're in? for ex, "you're inside the paintings in d'Orsay museum/Musee d'Orsay". Full vibes of the museum, makes you dream that dark academia dreams, of museum dates, also the human desire to travel.
Thank you so much for this
So serene and unhooked. True love of my love ❤️
Very beautiful video!!😍
I AM A HUGE FAN OF VAN GOGH AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKİNG THİS PLAYLİST!!!🥰🥰 You are the best 💫
Definitely go read the Letters of Vincent Van Gogh. It will give you very interesting insights into Vincent's life and his thoughts and opinions on various things. If you are an artist, you will probably find many things you can relate to
Je suis d'accord ! surtout la lettre 574 à sa sœur Willemien

@nobody I just wanted to say I love your channel so so much and these types of playlists with the artwork as well
painting the starry night while listening to this, wish me luck lol
