    Let's walk across the map of Morrowind! Is this the biggest map in gaming history? Is this may be the winner of the biggest map in video games? Is this the biggest map in gaming? Made after the big champion Daggerfall but made before Oblivion and Skyrim. These games of Bethesda all give us blisters!

    "Is this the biggest map in gaming history?"
    It's not even in the top 3 biggest maps in the Elder Scrolls series, lol. Although it is still pretty big. Thanks for the video, it was pretty cool.

      No, Daggerfall is the biggest one. But it would be insane to walk across that big map :)

      Actually it's in top 3 since only daggerfall and arena are bigger. Skyrim and Oblivion maps are like half of Vvardenfell presented in TES3

    Just discovered your channel mate, you really deserve more recognition! It's a great and unique idea.

      Thanks! About the music, I want to show how big the map is of course, but also I like to show the atmosphere in the game world. That means I want you to hear the wind blows and the birds sing. So I don't talk or play music in my videos. But thanks anyway!!! I subbbbed to your channel.

    Ahh this game never gets old for your's truly. It takes me back to the days of old. Back when the Original Xbox, PS2, and GameCube were the big consoles at the time. And when G4 was still around, and *wasn't* airing reality shows.

    • @HowBigistheMap
      @HowBigistheMap  Před 7 lety +1

      MTV was already changing from a music channel to a reality show channel. No more music, no more Beavis and Butthead.

      How Big is the Map? Yeah I remember that. That was horrible. At least we can re-live the glory days with VH1-Classic. They don't have Beavis and Butt-head but they do have music videos dating from the 70s all the way to the early, early 2000s.

    • @HowBigistheMap

    I remember crashing my brothers xbox from summonings. I got up to about 14 storm atronach's, than every thing frozed up because a cliff-racer decided to attack me. You had to create a spell (cast on self) and than keep spamming it. I got my movement speed to 400 (run around the map in less than 10 mins), you basically become a god!

  • @MrWizeazz

    Cliffracers screaming in the background, ominous yet playful music, and alien like vistas; I absolutely love this game. I honestly don’t think it wouldn’t feel as big if you didn’t have to travel at such a slow pace, like I said I love this game, but why does everyone walk like they have to take a dump? 😂

    I think the music alone makes me feel nostalgic more than anything else. Lots of games from this era had understated soundtracks that really set a mood for the game. Morrowind is one of the biggest ones for me. Kind of sad and somber and wistful. It made me feel like I was really exploring a strange, new land. The game and world felt so overwhelming to me. How could I ever be a good enough gamer to explore and conquer all of this? Oblivion is a close second. It makes it feel like I'm really exploring vast forests and rolling hills and stuff. Kind of a Lord of the Rings sort of mystery and fear and tension to everything. Newer games go for grand, sweeping music and forget to set a mood. The music from Skyrim doesn't set a mood and tone for the game nearly as well, though it's still great. Half-Life 2 is another game with a really understated soundtrack. Periods of silence where you felt alone and isolated. Stuff like that. It made the game feel more eerie and epic and dire.

    tbh im confident this game is bigger than Skyrim running from white run to markarth feels like a quick jog vs Morrowind even when moving fast moving from seyda neen to balmora takes fucking forever

    • @warv6552
      @warv6552 Před 3 lety

      Skyrim has Sprinting + Free fast travel so it feels like the map is smaller. Skyrim also has more open space devoid of any interesting areas.

    Oblivion map is much bigger. The reason why it took 59 min to cross Morrowind's map is because you're walking, not running like in Oblivion :-D

  • @roxterat

    To me it starts at 06:50 where you land on an ACTUAL ground.. and ends in 53:30 where you entered the water once again. So 53:30 - 06:50 - the time you spent with opened inventory and/or console - the fact that you walked and not ran AND (necessarily) went around the middle, not straight.. Nope, Vvardenfell is NOT big at all.
