I vote for the part 2 of pinebark maple. I definitively love cork bark maples for bonsai.

Great info 🙌💥💥I’m always learning from you guys! Now that I know about pine barks being more heat tolerant I’m going to pull my Nishiki Gawa and Allen’s Gold out of a more shaded area and put near my Heatseeker trio🔥🔥🔥

This video hurts my heart because I had a nice arakawa prebonsai and I’ve even bought an Allen’s gold from Mr maple and both have died. Had them both in full shade but the heat here in San Antonio is no joke

I know landscape trees are your bread and butter, but you should do rooted cuttings for bonsai. Especially for bark interest trees. Seedlings are way too variable for most Cultivars. Seedlings of Cultivars are not Cultivars and probably will not express the awesome traits of their parents.

Creo que voy a tener que dejar de seguiros , no se puede cojer todos los días un cabreo, viendo esas preciosidades sin poder hacer nada. No es justo jejeje

My book, 3rd edition Vertrees, lists rough bark tree J.M. Arakawa, Ibo Nishiki, and Nishiki Gawa. you have Hubble Super Cork but what is the name of the one you have grown but stopped growing. I have pine back J.M. always cuttings or seed. Why would anybody create bonsai from a pine bark graft is beyond me it does not blend in well.
