One if not the best dying vids I've seen! Great result, most ppl who've made a vid end up with patchy 'mucky' colours- your red looks brilliant!! Red dye is one of the strongest as its usually cochineal based..;) Also, compared to most, you also used less powder, for a shorter time with off boiling water, followed by a cold water rinse. In other words the right technique. Lol, you do need a better cameraman though! :P
thanks man and ummm on dyeing a body shell ive never done it but im not sure if it would work with the lexan shells on the hard plastic shells it may work but im not positive on that. and you can do it with the tires on but it may melt the glue and may have to re-glue them and the tires may come out a little of a different lighter color but you can. the foams would fill up with a lot of water and could rip as well so id be a little careful
I have a hyper st with no body on it yet I'm thinking about buying JConcepts Illuzion Mugen MBX5T body or a hyper st body do you think these body can be dyed if you know or if you know anyone who did it can you please let me know because I can use spray paint around my family. Also there's a very tiny hole on all the rims should I tape the holes up with duct tape before dying it because the duct tape water proof do you think that would work. What do you think.
Joseph Richichi the duck tape would probably work but it wouldnt dye that little spot on the rim but should keep all the water out and on the bodys im not sure lexan bodys would most likely melt or de forum in the hot water but i wish i could tell you but i dont know of anyone that has done it to a body
