    Will this tool allow me to change parameters on the airmatic suspension on a 2018 E43 AMG and save my parameters?

    I think I heard you mentioned doesn’t do programming, can it relearn crank sensor for example if you swap it out for new one?

    • @MasterTechLou
      @MasterTechLou  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes, that is not programming, that is a relearn which is something this scanner is capable of

    I have the older Elite Benz. My wife has a VW so I get the software for that also. The second car is a yearly cost to have that library, but I think any of the manufactures are 40-50 bucks for the second subscription. Not bad for a scanner like this.

    Hi Lou. Great video ref Elite II and just bought one and delivered. I’m in the UK and have a year 2000 SL600, VIn begins WDB129076, and it has a 38 pin connector.
    Do you know who produces a connector that will connect the 38 pin to the Elite and provide as full a diagnosis as possible?
    I’m it has the hydraulic suspension and I’d like to get it level. It’s slightly up at the passenger rear.
    Great videos.

      Thank you, you can find many adapters. Just google 16 pin to 38 pin. Get a good one from a reputable supplier. I have ran into many communication issues with clients over the years due to cheaply made connections. Also thank you for the nice comments 🙏

      Also fyi the leveling on these old 129 are mechanical. It is not electrical. Use a measuring tape to be sure of the level. Its not hard to level these but tedious.

      As long as there are no faults you just need to leave the key on for about 2 minutes without starting the engine. Pretty sure that’s enough.

    • @MasterTechLou
      @MasterTechLou  Před měsícem

      Maybe. You would need to purchase the honda software. In my experience a no start is usually something basic. So check all the basics first before determining that you need a scanner to further diagnose.

      @@MasterTechLou ahh. Okay. Maybe you can help me out if you have a moment. Ive been a Volkswagen technician for the last 12 years and I am now going independent. So I need something that will cover a large variety of brands for cars, SUV and light trucks. I don't need key programming but I do need to be able to program modules if replaced and perform bi-directional controls (inputs and outputs) and most every other function. Would like to be able to do TPMS learns and rests, battery testing with Bluetooth or wifi printer option, also a wireless OBD2 hookup. I have good budget if the scanner is worth it

    Would you advise to continue investing in W220 S350 (97k miles) in the UK? It goes to the left on its own (probably after a bump by a previous owner), strange clicking noises come from the steering wheel (shaft ?) when turning, there are issues with the wiring (codes appear when mirrors retract, seats moved etc), some body roll is present too.
    Despite all this, the car drives quite well now, but the rough roads and potholes in my area don't make life any easier

    • @MasterTechLou
      @MasterTechLou  Před 4 měsíci

      I cant advise on a car I cant see. The fact that youre askin that question tells me that you have your own doubts so I would say no. Dont keep investing in it because all cars are a loss.

    I will try to make this disaster as simple as possible. We have a 2009 ML320 BlueTEC with about 110k. Then it began. Over a year ago the car would not start. Until then no issues what so ever. Fast forward a year later, over 10k in repair bills nothing has changed, the car has been to 3 dealers and 2 indy shops, and still the same issue persists. The car will not even try to start because it is in some "safe" mode. It won't even turn over. Now every part of the car that can send the signal, to send the car into 'safe mode' has been replaced. Every time they would replace something the car would work perfectly for a few days and then go back into safe mode. The car never dies while running, but will not start again. I am convinced there is nothing actually wrong with the car. The car is a hypochondriac, no seriously. I think there is nothing wrong with the car but it thinks the world will end if it moves.
    Is there any way to disable this "safe" mode? I will gladly accept any and all consequences if I am wrong, and there is actually some issue. The alternative is to scrap a good car in pristine condition. And yes this is my mother's car who is the proverbial little old lady from southern Florida who drove the car for about 50mi a week. The car is mint condition, there has to be a way to disable this safety feature and save this car.
    Thanks,
    Drew

    • @MasterTechLou
      @MasterTechLou  Před 3 měsíci

      Drew sorry for your issues. There is no such thing as a “safe mode”. A non starting mercedes is actually pretty simple . Theres only a handful of items that will stop it from cranking which is an assumption at this point that its not cranking because you stated “it will not even try to start/it wont even turn over”. I love these kinda of issues they are usually the simplest. This may sound cocky but, if you have watched my videos, and googled my name you will find I fix the craziest of issues without even being near the car. Sounds like whoever is working on it either has zero experience with Mercedes or doesnt understand the things that will stop a Mercedes from starting. But there is no “safe mode” there’s broken, and fixed. Not sure what if anything you are asking of me, but I wish you the best. Lou
