Incredible seminary CLOSED and DECAYING for more than 10 years

- In this ASMR-style video, we'll explore a rural seminary that closed more than ten years ago. The seminary was built during the Great Depression to ordain Catholic priests. A chapel with a mixture of Byzantine and Romanesque architecture was added during the 1950s.
The final class graduated three decades ago, and then the sprawling 450-acre property was used as a spirituality center and later as a retreat until it closed. Subsequent owners have cared for the property enough to maintain its landscaping and prevent serious decay. The current owner has been making plans for half a decade with no redevelopment to date. Locals are allowed to walk their dogs and hunt on the property, but access is otherwise off-limits.

Chris Luckhardt has documented and photographed some of the most iconic and viral images of abandoned places around the world. He was among the first photographers to publish photos in the press from legendary abandoned places like Hashima Island, Nara Dreamland, Michigan Central Station, and Six Flags New Orleans. His body of work has led to interviews and collaborations with The White House, Netflix, Ford, GQ China, ABC News, Good Morning America, Scholastic Canada, Yahoo Japan, and many more. In 2016, the Obama administration invited Chris to photograph a private citizen "haunted" tour of The White House.

My favourite scene was the standalone door frame and 2 standing sinks!😍 The stain glass are all beautifully intact, and their corridoor deco are so simplified. A good place for quiet reflection 😌😌
The inverse scrapper section! Usually the pipes are stolen and sinks are smashed first. And yes, I spent 9 hours in there mostly just enjoying the architecture - and waiting for the light to change for repeat shots.
