    Great video man. I started playing AC7 today and immediately fell in love with the Raven. I'm excited to get a model of it someday now.

    Now that I realize its strange that project aces made colaboration with Kotobukiya since the scale models from Ace combat were always manufactured by Hasegawa

    • @SniperWolf1001
      @SniperWolf1001  Před 4 lety +4

      Well, not just Hasegawa. Hasegawa made the majority of Ace Combat models, but they switched over to tomytec which made a few, then over to Kotobukiya. I'm not entirely sure what caused the constant brand changes, but it's definitely been happening a bit. Perhaps it has something to do with Kotobukiya's reputation and popularity within the scale model market?

      @@ChrisGuzmanS you are sort of right. It depend on market wants as the different brands cater to different niche so to speak. For example, Tomytec models are the smallest so it fits the niche that want those size to fit with other small size models of other planes. Hasegawa's size is the largest so those that want their models to be big, then they go for Hasegawa. Kotobukiya is middle sized.
      There's also difficulty levels. Hasegawa tend to be difficult as it require painting. Kotobukiya however, is easy as the parts are different colors and snap fit.
      However, you'd notice that Project Aces seem to have stopped using Hasegawa for their kits, with their new ones only using Kotobukiya. I have a hunch that it is because they found that their Hasegawa kit aren't selling well because they are difficult to assemble, thus driving away customers. With Kotobukiya, the ease of assemble would be a draw factor, especially from others that are used to Gundam standards. Plus, multiple colour molds and snap fit kits tend to sell at higher price than unpainted non-snap fit kits, which isn't exactly an issue for modelers.

      Yeah, that's correct. These are simple snap-fit kits with no need to use glue, paint, or anything like that. Everything you need comes in the box, and the assembly difficulty is not high at all.

    • @secondsein7749
      @secondsein7749 Před 4 lety +5

      @@jerryhenson3916 a bit late, but the "for modelers" are meant for those that want to paint it other colours. The grey paint makes it easier to apply other colours. Compare this to the one with the orange-black color where the the hardcore modelers would have to either strip down the paint or use heavy coating to drown the black-orange color.

      No, I didn't paint them. They come out of the box like that. However, the manual does come with a colour guide just in case you want to add some extra detail on some of the panels. I didn't bother with doing that though.
