- This video shows the true ending in Splatoon 3's Side Order DLC. This is achieved after completing Side Order with the Octo Shot palette, which requires a total of 12 tower completions.
The final battle against Smollusk does not change after the second tower completion.

but to be fair it would have made absolutely no sense unless you got to fight the souls of all the palettes (which would have been great instead of just fighting the cheesable final boss)
Perhaps for now that was just a hint, but for the next game four will be the focus-

@@zglitched_o7262 they voluntarily got partially sanitized to focus on their music
Maybe in the same group as shiver, since most octoling look the same before being set free
@@8go_chan Technically, this isn't canon. It was a translation error! usually the English side of things get free reign, and don't really consult the Japanese side for their translations. Acht is indeed, fully sanitized, *but* it's for a different purpose, so it makes her non-hostile, I suppose.

Earnestly I feel bad for smollusk, I mean I was team order and Smollusk's line about "so much for the dreams of those who wanted a place for order" Kind of felt personal to me. At least the octolings can be saved now, so order serves a purpose.... some how. A colorless world isn't a good one, but Marina showed order could have been something amazing, maybe it still can be.

Though they could tweak the bossfight, I love the special dialogue.
The boss itself is pretty darn good. If you have palletes that aren't focused on certain traits, the onslaught of attacks can be awful.
My only gripe with side order is the story. It is just...non-existant.
@@plaidhatter1674rouge likes don’t normally focus on story (at least in my experience). Honestly, I thought what we got for story was decent. Could possibly set up Splatoon 4 if they wanted to.

The drawings along with the music really puts you in a space so safe like never before.

Technically she's apparently the leader of the Parallel Canon bossfight, as the lead Inkling's hairstyle there varies based on your Splatoon 2 save data. But yeah, that and her palette are all we got and it's frustrating

Side order was so dissapointing for me- it really seemed like it was.going to be in the order timeline, which would've been fascinating to explore- but it ended up being something completely different- iyt wasn't bad, just a bit shallow and a letdown from my expectations
Acht looked so...cool before she got sanitized! And we learned that not all Octolings were mind controlled by Octavio, but Marina might have been...
I seems that Acht was still in Octo Valley after Marina and others were freed by the Calamari Inkantation and eventually ended up captured by Tar Tar to be sanitized.
As translated from japanese, Callie is the only one confirmed to have been hypnotized by DJ octavio. The rest of the octatians are just heavily indoctrinated. Music is powerful for propaganda, after all
A common misconception is that the octos were mind controlled by Octavio, but that is in fact false, the only one to be hypnotized was Callie. The goggles and shades the octolings use are AR aiming enhancers, nothing else and nothing more
Also, Acht willingly got sanitized (even though the dlc says otherwise) so she could dedicate her time to being a dj and didnt have to feel anxious or worried all the time

I've always mained Tentatek Splattershot/Octoshot since the first game, and yeah it's always copied that exact variant of the Splattershot

Honestly, I was hoping for Commander Tartar to make a comeback as a secret final boss, considering Marina used Kamabo Co tech to make the memverse. That would’ve been cool.

I was really hoping Eight's palette would have a different final fight, as a follow up to inner 3. It def makes sense that it wouldn't be as difficult as theres story content locked behind beating this boss, but a final hurrah as a reward for getting this far aside from just a dev diary would have been nice. Personally, since this is our (Eight's) Palette, having the final fight being a version of Eight from the memories they've lost would have been super cool I think. It'd be a showcase of skills of Eight before they chose to leave the octarians as well as a fight of convictions between one who chose to left, and one who was still convinced of being a part of the Octarian Army.

A boss fight against the engineers that lead to the creation of Smollusk would've been a better buildup. Using 8's weapon doesn't feel like as much of a challenge when compared to After Alterna.

How did you get more keys? My game is kinda broken in a way where I can only get the first 10 keys. I did beat it with the 10 lockers open but I can’t do anything else
you have to go through the spire with different palettes to get more keys
1 key per boss per palette. So 3 keys per palette. Ensure you complete the spire with every palette

this is super underwhelming compared to octo expansion
The concept art in the first trailer we got made this look peak af but the outcome was very disappointing, it seemed a lot of it got scrapped or toned down

@@light6666 i mean the movement! in turf war you will be wipe out in seconds if you move like that, and in octo expansion too, i know marina help you with things, but the movement?.
@@omarjimenezromero3463 Turf War is PvP and Side Order is PvE. Obviously the movement is going to be different.
Overlorder is also just a really easy boss aside from 1 or 2 attacks. You don't need to be very good to beat him.
@@light6666 Yeah, but not only does the octo shot reduce the amount of chip slots you have the more meta upgrades you have equiped, but also you get a specifc badge for only equiping 4 meta upgrades with the octo shot and beating the game (You can see the badge show up to the left of floor 30 as they're entering at 0:13 meaning they got it I think)
