    Pato’s total unadulterated joy and sense of wonderment is so cool to see! It will be a pleasure to watch these two enormously talented young racers seizing this opportunity that they so richly deserve.

    Love Pato's enthusiasm, but do not discount Oliver's incredible work ethic. Agree with the other comments - it will be fun to watch these two get it on in IndyCar this season!

    great story by Pato about first F1 Race (2012 Montreal) hearing the cars screaming from five miles away. I have similar memory of going to USGP at Indy 2006 with V10's at close to 20K RPM. was incredible and beyond words...

    Loving these guys. Just how I would react. I think Pato is just a legend already....imagine him and Lando team mates....no chance of Carlos leaving obvs but imagine the youthful passion of those two.

      I honestly do hope Pato gets a chance to race at F1 and what better teammate than Lando. I think the two would definitely be very close pals. Truly the most likable team in all of F1 history. I know he got screwed over by FIA and had to leave RedBull, but maybe it was a good thing... Maybe McLaren will snatch him instead...

      @@subatenome has that ever happened and does pato really want it? Has indycars in the recent years moved to f1? Would be cool though

    • @subatenome
      @subatenome Před 3 lety +1

      @@j.o.e2683 I'm not sure if it has happened before. I don't know where McLaren gets their F1 drivers from but you can certainly get a drive in F1 from Indycar. Pato is very close to having a super license and McLaren hinted at possibly allowing Pato and Askew to try their F1 car in free practice. However, with the whole pandemic thing that might not happen this year. Does Pato want to go to F1? I don't know but he certainly does appear to be very interested. He quit Indycar to join the RedBull academy; that's not something an Indycar driver would do if they weren't interested in joining F1. Also look at him in the video! While Askew was touring around the factory, Pato was in their F1 simulator. He was also talking very passionately about F1. It might be, at the very least, his long-term goal.

    Was the Arrow McLaren SP built in the UK or US, does anybody know?
    9:39, he can be happy that he is in IndyCar now, real racing! boring Formula Mercedes (1) won't be interesting till 2022 or 2026 (new PUs). xD i also changed to indycar, no longer supporting the maFIA. xD sad that indy is underrated in Europe :(

      Arrow mclaren SP is essentially a long term technical partnership between the Schmidt Peterson IndyCar team and McLaren racing.

    • @armorgeddon
      @armorgeddon Před 3 lety +3

      No, Arrow McLaren SP is just a sticker and money exercise, the hardware is not made by McLaren at all. The cars in Indycar today are all made by Dallara in Indianapolis and maybe some parts at Dallara's base in Italy. I think it's embarrassing putting McLaren stickers on a Dallara Chevrolet, same like Aston Martin puts their stickers on foreign technology, even their roadcars are now often powered by Mercedes engines.
