  • Richard Reynolds has been gardening without boundaries, usually neglected public land around his neighbourhood, for nine years. Through his blog GuerrillaGardening.org, his book On Guerrilla Gardening and regular talks around the world he has rallied many to do the same where ever they live. He's unearthed a loose global movement of people motivated for all sorts of reasons to take land that's not there's and grow something.
When not gardening Richard works as a freelance communications planner, and brings his professional experience of motivating behaviour change into his passion for getting people to plant wherever they spot the opportunity.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I've uploaded a new edit of my presentation from TEDx Newham which includes the slides I was sharing with the audience many of which are missing from this original video edit. View the 'new improved' version by searching "GGTV TEDx Newham"
