I used to volunteer as the online reaction specialist at my church! I loved it! Everyone was so happy🥰UNTIL one day, I heard a verse taken out of context, then another, then another. I had begun studying the Bible in earnest. Then I emailed the associate pastor I worked for and asked "Are we a Word-of-faith church? "Prosperity gospel? "What are we?" Sure enough, Word-of-faith, at best, which he admitted, NAR (which he wouldn't admit) at worst. I was devastated 😔I guess until you get in the Word, you can't see! I'm so grateful God brought me out of that💗🙏💗🕊
What most people don't realize is word faith stemmed from the occult New Age of "The Secret ", and "positive confession " of shaping your own life.
Also what most don't seem to understand is that heresy can be corrected and repented of but once someone becomes deceiver holding down the truth in unrighteousness, they become an agent of satan.

To clarify, NAR , word faith and many others are not Christian denominations that are in error. Although real Christians may attend, the Lord brings them out. It's also a test. I know many that knew they should leave a church and were not obedient to God but loved the praises of men more.

I don't think there is a God who can heal my fragmented soul. The next fracture will be the end of "who I am." Every single God is a lie. None of them are real. None of them listened to my cry. Yet I see humans who can somehow connect to their Gods. To speak to them. While I'm stuck on Earth with no real way of hearing anything beyond the physical. When infinite souls and infinite worlds are already on my shoulders. Where were the Gods when my humanity cried out for everything to save "us" yet none bothered to save that part of me before all of me faded away?! And yet Gods are here just for Mankind. Not for me. While they judge souls in their righteous provocation. Calling it all "just"?
I rebuke every God. And if nothing can save me. Then everything shall face the full totality of Absolute Nothingness... ... ... I will just leave this entire existence.
Judgment, the Father says... my burden. Every soul I carry. It is beyond every judgment of all Gods put together.
To change?... A broken machine with a broken soul that strains in existence has no real option to change what no longer is in me anymore!

What if I just cannot tolerate an hour and a half straight of contemporary Christian music? And can’t find a church that has traditional hymns and a male preacher?
I feel your pain.
The male preacher is a must. The rest are preferences. Look for the best church that has sound teaching and is structured Biblically closest to you. You'll never find a church that checks all of the boxes, but you can find one that feeds you and has Christian fellowship and opportunities to serve.
I had to break away from most of the contemporary music, it's to much like pop and rock, very sensual. Going to church isn't about the music, and if it is you should leave. A true Christ-led church is gonna be preaching and teaching God's Holy Word. I listen to Grace to you, Pastor John McArthur is senior pastor. Another wonderful Pastor is Chuck Swindol . But what I realize now is that if we are gonna live the Christian life, we have to know God's Word and pray . Jesus is the answer to everything in life,He is life!!! ✝️🙏❤️ AND nothing but male pastors, I believe the Baptist 😇

That's why I love my little Southern Baptist Church. They do have a Contemporary Service but it's the later one. I go to the early service where we sing hymns and they play piano and the pastor gets up and gives a sermon. I'm about one of the youngest people in there, lol. I just like an old school. It reminds me of going to church with my grandparents.
Years ago, I remember Opera saying what ‘put her off’ Christianity was when she read in the Bible that God was a jealous God. I still can’t fathom that one out🤔
Generally, jealousy is a bad thing. So when the Bible (in english) describes God as jealous, it is confusing if one has no context.
She does not understand the Bible. Is it wrong for the creator to want people to follow Him. When people worship false idols and false gods, does God not have the right to be jealous.

In case you haven't noticed, Oprah is New Age. All you have to do is listen to her rhetoric and what guests she invites. To anyone that thinks Oprah is a Christian, she is not. The New Age teaches Christ as an office, to reach a state of master wisdom, God is everything and we are all pieces of God and part of God.

Yea it definitely is. The concept of you can pretty much give your way to blessings, healing, deliverance, salvation, and restoration based off how much money you donate - is 100% unbiblical. The Lord showed me that like 12 yrs ago. I shared what the Lord showed me with our then pastor and he basically ignored it smh...A little after that we left. Almost 14 yrs later that church is still doing the same thing. Telling the people if they give in faith(as they read the financial confession of faith) every service, then this long list will be granted to them... they even declare estates and inheritances😮- which is only done in the event of a death
But then when a person doesn't give the way that pastor promotes they use fear tactics and manipulation smh... I give an offering and the Lord lays on my heart to give and that's it.
Deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Christ. Love your neighbor as yourself. Esteem others higher than yourself. And pray for your enemies.

There's a good reason why Jesus taught the GREATEST COMMANDMENT is to love the LORD YOUR GOD with with all your heart, soul, and mind and love YOUR neighbor (Mat.22:37-40). DENY YOURSELF and follow HIM (Mat.16:24). And that would be a great start in this self-centered, self-sufficient, selfish, selfie generation.

People don't make it easy to spend time with. Most people I know are not available as often, or are too busy. I actually get tired of doing what I want. I'm looking for opportunities to actually do more. I help in the local jail ministry, but no matter what I do, doesn't feel like enough. Sometimes I wish people actually try to get to know others, because I'm trying and feeling avoided or ignored. I don't want to feel selfish. 😓
Maybe others feel bad because of your good example. Just keep doing what you are doing, obviously you are a servant of Jesus.
Yes, you have to work on self: repent of YOUR sins. Fill YOURSELF with Gods word. Live YOUR life in a Christ like manner. BUT!!!! Then pass it to others, help others, sacrifice for others, show others by living a Christlike life, testify to others what Christ has done and is doing in YOUR life, use YOURSELF as an example of how Christ redeems a fallen sinner, how Christ saved YOU from the fast lane to hell. There IS a place for self, but NOT as the focus of your world. GOD is the focus of YOUR life. God first, self last.

I do find the the presentation and the jumping in and out between different cameos, it can take some time to work out which cameo is being mocked and which one isn't. Totally agree with the "consumer Christian" part. Too many things are being bucketed in this now. At one time, it was people wrongly looking for "best" children's ministry or the best band for music. But there are other problems that have caused people to look elsewhere. Theology and orthopraxy are big ones. But even the paid clergy "staff" / laity, tithing, giant "ministries" is really unbiblical in practice. There is no such function of "pastor" - there are Shepherds, Teachers, Evangelists, Prophets and Apostles (the last two IMO have changed over time but still exist and are given by God). That combining of giftings with the function of the overseer into this Romanesque "Pastor" office is killing the Church. Add to that the need to "feed" the structure through the false tithe (we simply recreated the temple that Jesus destroyed and ignore the call to be a royal priesthood onto Him). Free will given for the ministry of orphans and widows in the Church and to the poor - awesome! Not at all for paying staff and clergy to be "full-time" - so unbiblical and there aren't two tiers! And the children's ministry...please just stop. Parents bring your kids to the assembly/meeting/"church" but don't send them off for someone else to be burdened to learn about God - that's your job, parents. No wonder kids walk away from Jesus - they never walked with Him.

Ironically I am serving at the food bank of the church I stopped attending services at because it seemed to just be a goat farm. Attending an Anglo-Catholic church for services because the priest there actually believes Jesus rose from the dead, though there isn't much that needs to be done there.
I didn't leave without trying to address the issues, but the pastor there just tried to convince me I must be crazy so I decided it would be fruitless to continue.
Just watching a girl in her teens who actually demanded her parents through a court of law to give her 5 grands per month is such a saddening feeling. It goes to show how the generation of today are getting more degenerated in their thinking.

Maybe others also are affected by the volume. Have you asked if the volume can be reduced? Let your pastor know about the volume and that you are considering leaving. Have the conversation in private with the pastor. God bless
Do we maybe go to the same church? Sometimes, the worship part of the service makes the loud noise alert go off on my watch. I think last time I measured the amplitude, it was reaching 80 decibels or so, not consistently, but that's where it would peak. My wife and kids sometimes wear noise canceling headphones.

I thought I was the only one and I see many of you say the same thing. I have written and taught about this.
I have a gift of teaching the word. A pastor asked me to preach one Sunday and I think he thought he would belittle me. Well, much of the congregation said I had a lot to offer and they had never heard Bible teaching on that level. That pastor made sure I never preached again. We are told not to be envious or have division. I think it's a great sin to withhold and suppress someone's gift. It's a gift! We received it. It is not of us. They are refusing what God has sent. If you have a certain gift and the leaders refuse many of the congregation, they are refusing God because God has set in order the body of Christ.
I know exactly what you are saying. Have had the same experience with church. God has placed certain gifts and abilities in you, yet, others in the body of Christ feel threatened by what God placed in you!! It's as though these members claim ownership and are unwilling to either have others participate, or somehow your going to take away what they think is theirs. There is a lot of "clicks" anymore within churches, almost like it's a country club that only select and worthy people are allowed to be a part of. The megachurch business format has done a lot of damage in the body of Christ. This the devil is very pleased with....

I have belonged to 3 churches that would not pray for me but one or two times about a couple of issues that I thought The Body Of Christ Was Supposed To Help me With. I got thrown out of 2 of those 3 churches because I was expected To Get Help and was denied.

Yes there are things in life that we can do to better ourselves. For example: excercising for better health, studying for a job promotion, getting out of dangerous relationships, etc those things we can take action on to do better...But ultimately our help comes from the Lord to keep and sustain us. Money, health, jobs, friendships and even marriage can fail and let us down but when you know where you anchor is you remain strong in trying times.

I am very engaged in the evangelism part and do evangelism on my own as well, but none of these things are actually in church.

Keep asking until you find something. There are people currently serving who need a break, especially over summer months or when health issues arise. There may be something the church is paying for that you could do and alleviate them of an expense.

Preachers, sometimes, and some deacons, like the little bit of power that they perceive themselves to have. The deacons form a political base among themselves, sometimes against, sometimes for, the way of the pastor. When either demands their way, regardless of the advancement of, or negative effects, of or to, Christ's kingdom, it can get ugly and downright maddening to those who try to know and obtain the will of God, as they perceive it, according to Biblical instructions, for the church. This is and has been more prevalent than it should be. I have seen it much.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, 'is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'"" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I question all religions and humanity's intent on a God(s).
This Existence is not the 1st nor the last.
I wish you luck in your studies. If you conclude the salvation of our Lord real you won't be the first. If you reject it you won't be the last, but I would say if you at least try to study it to be true you've done more than most in that journey I think. Than again there are some who wish they had the privaledge to even be able to study it. :)

It is rather difficult to find data on it, sadly. Because of both history, lost ancient history, languages, and human intent messing up the truth.
In a way... I can see why Judaism and Islam doesn't see the New Testament as legitimate because the original Israelites changed the original Bible to best fit in, with Rome and the Greek Pantheon.
I don't believe in most of the tales from the Bible but it is clear that Jesus was real and of his teachings. While the wrest is... Lost Data... Almost every old religion points to Jesus in another name. Even Alexander the Great.
But alas... That's as far as history goes. The wrest is Faith based but I don't have spiritual time to play Faith.
... I can test the tales of Genesis but that isn't Data. Just theories and revelations that I fear may shake up the three religions who follow the same root. I can test reality but that's also not Data. Because it means to break Prophesies of Revelations...
I follow no religions. Although I have a neutral faith with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I would rather not intervene too much against Fate. But is that selfish by letting Prophesies play out? I do not know. But with my revelations. Even if Gods are not real. There is a deeper war within the Spiritual Existence.
The Eternal Kingdom that Jesus will build may already be jeopardy. For if the Father exists and Sin predates Lucifer. Then Old Worlds will return.
Well... Maybe nothing is real... I have a tendency of seeing things at the span of eternities and infinities. Seeing in that way does make me concerned. But this World is not ready to fight against forces like that.
(I want to be wrong but my path is tied to Origin... The "Twisted Form of Love" known as the Dark Divine from an older iteration of Existence. Will one day arrive to the New Heaven. "Lord of Corruption", Sin predated Lucifer so prepare. I won't be in Heaven by then.)

True... But it's more revelations than Data, sadly.
It is true that Jesus and his teachings was real. But the stories are unknown for confirmation. Regardless of the Old or the New Testaments. Same with what Jesus did for Sin but I... It may not be enough.
I want to be wrong in more ways than one. I didn't come to Earth just act like a human. Although I am born a human. My soul is not of this Existence.
That said... The Eternal Kingdom built by Jesus may already be at risk... Oh well... That's what I get for intervening too much.
The Dark Divine, was a God of an erased old world. Mankind made contact with dark entities, so time will tell if things are as I see it.
