😊I just discovered your Channel about a week ago and I got to admit I'm hooked on it. It's not so much the prison stories which are very educational I've never been there and don't intend to I'm in recovery also but your energy just comes through the screen. I'm sure you're helping tons of people I can see why you would be what they call recovery coach. It's not something I've heard before but you would be awesome at it it's obvious you're so honest and real about what you're talking about you're not putting on a facade you don't have to. It's very rare to have someone or hear someone on CZcams or Tick Tock especially that is real on there. I've never watched someone on CZcams that like the energy comes right through the screen the way you talk when you're like full energy reminds me of Macho Man Savage when you yell in the screen keep up the great work and the great energy very few people are as real as I think you are now❤🎉
I regularly went 9 days without a shower while serving in Iraq, my longest period of time I went without a shower was 15 days. With the amount I sweat and how filthy the country is. A shower was a God send, but at least I had my own shower space in the active Army whereas Basic wasn’t like that
Knew a guy that went to prison. He talked about how it was a courtesy to wear your boxers in the shower. They'd sometimes go easier on you if you were an older or younger guy, but if you didn't wear boxers, they'd beat your ass. They weren't about getting raped in showers.

You are absolutely right on everything JD.I did 8 years in Michigan 2 years in county then got out for 8 days and got raided with everything needed for a meth lab and went and did 6 years in the M.D.O.C. and not one to in the 8 prisons I was at did I see forced sex.I must say though except for 2 prisons I was at we had individual stalls in our community bathrooms and everybody respected each others shower time.Even the gang bangers.There were times you would go and mark your place in line and from under the shower curtain that only came down to your knees you would see 4 legs usually 2 white ones and 2 black ones but its none of my business or anybody elses because it was consenual.I love your content JD glad your out.One thing that sucks about Michigan prisons is we have truth in sentencing.Which means we have no good time.You get sentenced to 6 years you do every day of your 6 years.

In 1967 some friends and I did some bad things in Cal and got sent to Santa Reita State the day after Thanksgiving for only 3 days before we all got a PR and were told not to come back to Cal. I only had one shower time, that was and experience. All in All the short time was enough that I tried very hard to not get in trouble again, The statement " scared straight " was our motto.

I live in Salem. And driving by there I always thought how easy it would be to walk or drive by and use a sling shot to launch a bag of weed over the fence. Especially in the garden area. But I don't think I've seen them use the garden in years now
In the military one time, we assembled a new platoon, a new squad of guys together who were from different areas and going to be working together for a while. We all went around the room and told each other a little bit about ourselves and why we joined up. This senior leader, a guy who had been down a long time said...."I had heard that they had group open showers and that really appealed to me. Fellas, I am here for the open bay/ group shower experience opportunities....aaaww yeah, buddy" high fives the guy to his left...and to his right.
We had 91 guys in our dorm most of which worked outside work detail. The dorm was very small and the showers were always packed out as soon as everyone came in from work. The stank in that place was horrible as we were in Florida in the summer. I think we had 6 working shower heads and the hot water didn't last very long. I'd usually hold off till after chow to get my shower so I'd have a chance for hot water. We were packed in that place like sardines. If we didn't have work every day these dorms would have been torture as it was all bunks no rec area at all indoors.
When I was in boot camp, I started out at the old dorms, where there were only 6 showerheads in a small room right next to the shitters. And you would be lucky if 4 out of the 6 worked. Near the end of boot camp we moved over to the newer dorms and those showers were amazing, you could adjust the water pressure and the temperature was awesome.

I appreciate you, your charisma, your story telling, and your attitude. I've never been to jail, and aim to keep it that way. But I have had a few professional co-workers who have been sent that way, even from the pedo perspective. That individual, I did not respect him as a human being, even before he was arrested for his crimes. Unfortunately at work we were opposite sides of the same coin, so when we went away there was a lot of crap to clean up, and it was awful being the first on the team to find his mugshot and crimes thanks to Google Image Search results. Although I am happy he finally figured out how to make life choices that made his life harder... that was not in his repertoire professionally speaking.
Can definitely relate on the shower shoes thing. Never been to prison. In fact, I’ve never been arrested. But shower shoes are crucial in any communal shower ESPECIALLY in the military as well. And ESPECIALLY in basic training. Thankfully I was somewhat aware of how disgusting some of my battle buddies were and had enough sense to never step barefoot on a jellyfish
When I was county jail in North Carolina, I had to use the same orange slippers in the shower, we used to walk around. At 5ft 9 345libs i had to learn to stand on leg to wash my foot and the slipper
My 8 months in prison was pretty decent, I was in medium sec tho downstate in IL tho. Never had a problem. I'm not affiliated with a gang, never borrowed shit, didn't gamble, didn't let nobody take shit off my tray, amd kept my head down but still had a group of people that I'd be around. Prison sucks but you don't gotta be a huge dude to survive it, just don't be a bitch and don't gamble/borrow and stay lowkey

When everyone else had to be in their bunk, I was cleaning the day room, washing my own laundry ( not paying a chomo to do it) and taking a long ass shower by myself at 2am. 3 year sentence for a stolen gun I never had. If it wasn't 7 years ago, I'd sue for wrongful arrest and imprisonment!
Man when I was a kid I met a guy who got out of prison and all he told me was no matter how fucken mad or stupid or whatever you are don't land up in prison!
