This possibility my favorite sub story of the game as it was heartwarming(to me at least) seeing Goku and Vegeta bonding with their sons together. Especially with Goten at the end, express his joy to finally spend time with Goku since he never got to do that for the first seven years of his life. This is one of things I wanted to see in Dragon Ball franchise after the Buu Saga.
I bet deep down vegeta enjoyed that day with his son. He gets to have a chance to be trunks daddy.
Same here. I was hoping for something like this after the Buu saga too. Goku and Goten make such an amazing duo. ❤ It sucks that they didn't get a whole lot of screen time in Dragon Ball Z.

When Goku used the spirit bomb I lost it 💀
This made me smile. I was so happy when I first beat it, knowing that Goten could finally close the power gap between him and Trunks.
This is something that should've happened in the actual story. This would have been wonderful character development.

I just used super saiyan blue at level 220 and he died💀🗿

As much as I love this side quest, think about how Goku thinks about how hard Goten is training… now compare that to Gohan fighting Frieza at 5 years old
That was no training, that was a survival quest.
Goten: Wow you got to train with Dad for a whole year?! That must've been the super most funnest time ever
Gohan: *Thinking about the ever looming threat that was Cell* ... I'll never forget.
Gohan was the only one who can defeat Cell to begin with, Goku believed in Gohan to defeat Cell and he went SSJ2 and destroyed Cell for good

I'm so glad I didn't skip those sub stories, not just for xp or d medals, but doing them after the kid buu fight makes it all feel like canon to the story ngl...
Piccolo's sparring with Goku - Goten and Goku training - Helping out Mr. Satan - Helping 18 so Krillin gets a job... I swear I am so in love with Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, if only I can get the DLCs lol

goku: trunks trained hard and got stronger but goten trained really hard too trunks might've been able to close the gap but i guess it wasn't enough to surpassed goten
